I still don't see why they don't just give Dominators Illusion Control already, but I'm interested in what they've got planned post-21.
As an AT I think Doms are where they need to be right now, stuff I would like to see
-Grav Control revamped, Wormhole moved up, and Dimension Shift replaced with something a little more useful
-Illusion Control
-Dark Control/Dark Assault sets
-A sort of Tech oriented Control Set
-A sort of Tech/Natural oriented Assault set

Dominators got a new powerset in Issue 18 with Electric Control and we also go Earth Assault a little while back so its not like Doms havent gotten anything.. also I believe they are working on something really good for Dom's.. im thinking its Dark Control.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
If they make a Dark/Dark I would play one.. but try to make it along the lines of Anti-Matter control or something like that... I also have dreams for a Plant/Dark and an Illusion/Dark either Controller or Dom.. but my preference is for Doms.

Look if blasters getting Dark Manipulation (a NEW set) doesn't piss you off and make you want to protest, I don't know what will.
It was stated that blasters got DMan because it was full of 'low hanging fruit' Okay, then tell me an dark assault set for doms isn't low hanging fruit as well. All the powers for such a set are in game TODAY. The set could be released TOMORROW.
But NO we're supposed to wait until AFTER I21 for something really cool. When the hell is that??? Next year?
That's too long. I want it now. At the latest, I want it when everyone else gets their new/proliferated sets.
Like I said in my OP. I'm a VIP now. A PAYING customer. And I've been one for 7 yrs. I want my new/proliferated set now, not next year and I have every right to demand it and launch this protest.
Some of you sound happy to be treated like second-class citizens. You're satisfied with promises of soon (TM). Try that argument at your next Xmas celebration.

First, the animation team was booked until after i21, so that means NO new power animations. Both Dark Blast and Dark Manipulation have to work with already existing stuff. They used stuff from Dark Miasma, Dark Blast and Dark Armour to make these sets, since Blasters don't have access to any of them. But Illusion Control. I must disagree there.
Just look at Electric Control. Of its AoE controls, only the AoE hold really has Domination applied. No, I'm not counting the immobilizes--that's more of a positioning tool than a proper full control. As for ST controls, only the hold and the jumping confusion really applies. Yes, the jumping confusion only gets Domination on the first target.
So guess what? Illusion Control's actually better off than Electric Control for benefiting from Domination, since its confusion gets a far shorter recharge for spammability. And yet you don't really see many complaints about Elec Control underperforming for Dominators.
As for Ice Control... A much-maligned (justly or not) AoE sleep, PBAoE hold (which you've already remarked on people not liking in Illusion), and immobilizes that're frequently skipped because of their incompatibility with Ice Slick, one of Ice Control's two real primary controls. The other being Arctic Air. Neither of those two really benefit from Domination. And this is really supposed to be better off?
True, Ice Control gets knockdown patches that work even on bosses and Electric Control gets a highly spammable chain knockdown (not exactly as good, but again, you see plenty of people playing Elec Dominators).
Now, what does Illusion get? An aggro-free ST confusion that can readily be stacked before the fight even starts, actually making Illusion better off than a number of sets for handling bosses outside Domination. Gods knows my Plant Dominator wishes she had something like that. Invincible taunters. A fear patch that can stack mag 6 Terrorize on its own. And this is supposed to be a horrific underperformer for Dominators? If anything, Illusion Control has more issues for controllers in giving them very little to apply Containment damage to.

Also, I'd imagine the only reason to be upset about anything, is if the only AT you play is Dominators.
Is it the only AT you play? Do you not have any other characters except for various Doms?
And even then, it's you're own choosing to play just the one AT given.
They didn't neglect the players. They gave the players a whole bunch of new options.
I'm not getting bent out of shape over a lack of Ninjitsu, Energy Melee, or Super Strength for Scrappers.
And while I do play Doms, I fully admit I prefere scrappers (and really EA with the changes seem interresting, but I already know I'm not going to make an Axe or Mace Scrapper ever).

Blasters have 77 combos now (11 primaries x 7 secondaries); 60 before this proliferation. Dominators have 49 (7 primaries x 7 secondaries).
If you consider the APPs/EPPs, blasters have 9 choices and doms have 8. 77 x 9 = 693 vs 49 x 8 = 382. That's over 300 more.
You know what the 'good' news for doms is going to be post-I21? That blasters won't be getting any farther ahead as they've gotten EVERYTHING proliferated for them that's possible.
