Signature Story Arc 2 Episode 1

  • Manticore fails to escort players when chosen as an ally in the final mission in the Hero version of this Episode.

Team Up Teleporter / LFG
  • We're aware of an issue where the Team up Teleporter / LFG Tool is intermittently not working. We're working on resolving this issue as soon as possible.

Signature Story Arc 1 Episode 1
  • The reward table is not appearing for Villains until the timer finishes.
    • Players can head to the door while the timer counts down. When the timer finishes, they should be able to get the reward window and safely leave without the Freedom Phalanx aggroing them.

Signature Stories, Volume 2: Pandora's Box - Episode 1
  • This episode will not be available immediately upon release of Issue 23: Where Shadows Lie.

Leather and Chainmail Costume Pieces
  • These Costume Pieces will not be available for purchase on the Paragon Market immediately upon release of Issue 23: Where Shadows Lie. However, they are available for VIP Players.

User Interface
  • When switching builds while Panther Stealth Power is active, the UI will display that the power is still active even though it has been shut down. Toggling the power back on will resolve this issue.

Team Up Teleporter / LFG
  • The Sister Psyche Task Force is still listed in the LFG menu even though it has been replaced by the Penelope Yin Task Force.
  • It is currently possible to queue for Clamour and Destruction [Sister Psyche] but the Task Force will not launch.

Missions: Trilogy
  • Mercenary's maximum level is 44, when it should be 54.

Boo! 90 seconds is too short. Way to completely undermine the LFG system once again. Sigh. 5 minutes was fine. If you feel you must lower it... no, 5 minutes if good, any lower and we just may as well keep ignoring the dumb thing.

The real problem is we have no notice that we are queued and have a wait. People do not mind terribly waiting a little bit, but they do mind not knowing how long the wait is going to be.

Yay, I hope it can be figured out.

Disagree. I was just thinking about it yesterday and said to myself, "Man, it would be so much better if the timer were 90 seconds instead of 5 minutes," so I'm pretty happy to hear of this change.

Disagree again. Once I hit the button, I want to be punching things in the face. My play time has been significantly diminished the last few months, and "waiting around" is not how I want to spend the time I do get.

Definitely agree about being happy that they've got a potential fix for the bug about not being able to invite people to an in-progress trial, though. I can't count how many times I've popped in around 11:30 PM and heard that people just started a trial, and that it was either going to be the last run of the night or I wouldn't have time to hop on the next one before bed. Being able to hop aboard their trial would make me a much happier person.

No comment about current iXP levels for the trials? Does that mean it's intended to be like this, or that they've not yet confirmed that there's a problem?

I clicked on this thread hoping to see some mention of it as well.

However, you likely spend far more time than 5 minutes currently even after you get the minimum needed for a trial. If the LFG system is ever going to work, we truly need to be encouraged to use it to actually get leaguemates. In 5 minutes, with proper communication and the playerbase learning that the system actually functions, it is likely the LFG system could add many people to a league. At 90 seconds, you may as well go back to the old system where you just enter the trial immediately, because that is not long enough for people outside of the pre-form to finish what they were doing and join the queue.

Rather than take 20 minutes to pre-form, you take 10 minutes, then enter the queue and wait 5 more minutes. If the system is allowed to function, it would often save time even with the 5 minute wait period. Giving the new system such a brief attempt at working before cutting its legs out from under it is a grave mistake, IMO.

The TuT is a GREAT idea and has GREAT potential. It needs some work to make it better, but 90 seconds is WAY too short to actually function well for that potential. If the devs want to give up on the TuT and just have us pre-form, that is one thing, but I get the feeling they actually want us to be able to form leagues with this tool.

Will my league who had the displeasure to find this get the badge retroactively awarded? It was on the Freedom server, the trial ended at 18:58pm on 07/01/2011 with Kotchie as league leader.

Edit: someone else on my league was awarded it by a GM. Sending a petition now.

5 minutes is far too long. However, if a league is in the queue, and players enter the queue for the same trial, they should be incorporated into the league. This would give the league a chance to organize.

Additionally, teams should remain SET when they enter the trial. As it stands, thanks to the woefully inadequate documentation, people still think the team lock will preserve team composition.

The developers AND the community team have completely failed and abandoned their responsibility to explain how the league functions work. The lack of documentation of new features has happened far too often, and in the case of the league buttons, was commented on many times in the Issue 20 pre-beta. That we are into Issue 20.5 without the documentation is a joke. Then again the same thing, to a lesser degree, has happened with the search window (there should be a legend explaining what the different colors mean in game, preferably in the search window itself).

Right on, Strato. People are treating trials like TFs, and that's not how they're intended to work. We should form leagues by creating balanced teams that can pull their weight in a trial. Then we should communicate with other teams who are interested in a trial over global channels. Then when the teams are all ready the two or three team leaders should queue for the trial, potentially picking up a couple stragglers who are also queued.

Distributing the league building over two or three teams will make forming the league faster, and won't force everyone to run to RWZ or Pocket D. The team leaders should negotiate the league structure while the team members chill out in the Black Market or Wentworths, instead of standing around doing nothing in RWZ.

And no mention of the problem with team health status indicators?
No mention of the team not being seen on maps? Both league, and regular teams.

Wonder why no status there?

What about how part of a trial team gets crashed out immediately and can't rejoin? Or was that fixed already and I'm just behind the times?

Avatea,

Could you see when a FIX for the coloring of Judgement powers will be fixed, ive filed numerous bug reports on it in game as im sure have many others, and nothing has been said about it or time line like "its in the works" etc

Currently with the Judgement powers only the original, bright and dark colors work, but custom colors under the "custom" banner do not, i mean dark and bright are ok but it truly doesn't pick up both colors that custom show.

This has been an issue since the launch of Judgement Incarnate powers, and effects them all from what i can tell, and also the same bug seems too be effecting the coloring of the lore pet summon as well for all of them.

Added the following note:

Incarnate XP

  • Incarnate XP is being incorrectly divided in leagues of greater than 8 participants. The amount being received is less than intended.
    • A fix is in progress.

Please note, these Known issues are a work in progress and they will evolve as we fix issues or confirm/manage to reproduce others.

Thank you all!

Disagree here. 90 seconds is probably too long for me personally to wait. I'm talking mostly about preformed leagues here, where only a few people might be added from the queue to a league.

If we're talking about PUG leagues with the minimum number of people, then sure waiting for more folks makes more sense. A good target in my opinion would be about half way between the minimum and the maximum number of folks for a given Trial/team/whatever. Waiting 5 minutes after you get minimum number of players would be fine then.

I'll just put my 2 inf. in here....

If you (we) could join a queue for a trial WHILE doing other things like TFs/SFs, missions, anything really and then when the min. (or max) joined the queue it'd just say, "hey you still want to do this?" Then I'd use the LFG queue.

The turnstile/LFG (TUT) could be expanded to do so much more; ie, show much more. Who is in the queue, what AT, what lvl, what powersets/etc...that way I know if I see all tankers I can bring my debuffing toon or vice-versa.

To be honest, I've only used the LFG queue once to get into a BAF; the other times it's much easier to just be in RWZ (or wherever) and join the league.

I think that until the LFG has more updates and the ability to do what I said above, not very many will use the LFG at all.

Baby steps. I'll be MUCH happier if it were to just show how many people are currently on the queue.

Eh, personally, I'd much rather it be 5 minutes and the wait removed if the league gets completely filled. But to be honest, the timer is the big factor reducing the viability of the LFG tool, it's the inability to do other things in the queue that manages that.

You know i could personally care less how long I waited, as long as i could actually go on a trial, since the intro of the KIR I have yet to be able to go on ANY, yes let me say that again over 24 attempts and not a single start, I have yet to be able to go on ANY trial, BAF Dropped on port, LAm Dropped after seeing a millisecond of slideshow, and innumerable KIR dropped on port, How about we worry about QoL issues with the game after we get the FUNCTIONALITY corrected!

example: wow thats great I get to get booted from the Trial in only 90 seconds and I cant join my group again!!

vs.

Boy that trail was awesome glad I got to go on that one the group was great, an experience worth waiting a couple minutes to get organized.

Cmon Dev Team fix the real quality of game issue rather than the power gamers desire to get to the punching quicker

Am I missing something about this thing? I thought that if you close the league, the timer goes away and it goes right in. If a timer for an open league is such a huge issue, why not just close the league? I'll conceed maybe a 5 minute timer is a bit overkill, but a delay should be used for an open league so you don't always get the min available league for a trial.

Also, there seems to be a bug with closed leagues over 19 players where it will randomly boot players.

The problem is that while it tries to guarantee more than the minimum, it totally ignores groups that are well over the minimum, but not at the maximum for the trial. Say the league has 16/24, 12/16, or more. Should they be annoyed by the delay? And may I remind you that there is absolutely no way to see how much longer the wait is? At the very minimum there should be a count down. Even with the change to 90 seconds, there should be a counter saying that there is XX amount of time before the trial starts. There is also no way to see how many people, if any, are in the queue. I like the trials, I think the TUT is a good idea... on paper. In practice there is so much that is wrong with it.

Problems:
  • The average wait time is a complete joke. It isn't even close to being accurate.
  • There is no way to invite from the TUT queue to a league queueing up.
  • There is no indication of how many players are in the queue.
  • There is no indication of how long players have to wait for more to possibly join.
  • The teams are scrambled upon entering the trial.
  • There is still uncertainty as to if a random mix has everything needed for a trial among some players.
  • There is still uncertainty that the league can/will not team you with someone you don't like enough to global ignore them.
These are some of the reasons why the TUT is still not very well received.

Yes, any open league should have to wait a reasonable amount of time to allow others to join, otherwise it is not really open. Five minutes is reasonable, 90 seconds is not.

Yes, there is no way to see how much longer the wait is and that needs to be fixed. The solution is to add a visible timer for everyone in the queue as they get added to a league, not to remove the delay outright or shorten it to a pointless time period.

Yes, the system does not alert potential people who could join when an open league enters the queue. The solution is to add an alert that everyone can see, just like when a zone event starts. Ideally, the alert would include the leader of the league that queued in as well as the time until start and possibly repeat at 3 minutes to go and 1 minute to go (even better would be a timer on the original message that just counted down, but that tech may be too much of a reach).

Yes, there are bugs when a league zones in, teams get shuffled, the league star goes to the leader of whichever team has the fastest loader, and team get broken up. Those should be fixed but none are a reason to lower the time to allow others to join to a pointlessly small amount.
