I missed the first 34 minutes due to sleeping. Came in just before Time Manipulation was being discussed.

-Time Manipulation is a buff/debuff set
-It has one power that enhances the buffs/debuffs applied by other powers. Not sure if it's ally, enemy, both, or what.

-Two handed melee weapons set is dubbed Titan Weapons
-Not just huge broad swords, but several kinds of large weapons
-Starts out slow and builds 'momentum' which uses faster and faster animations

-Isolator/Jailbird badges are going to still be in the game somehow
-They are not removing badges anywhere, and will have ways to earn every badge still
-Dr. Aeon rewrote the introductory Ouroburos arcs

-You will be able to see every piece for sale in the Tailor
-Non-bought pieces will have a lock icon and can be bought then and there
-There will be more tailors placed in the game

-VIP's will not be able to ride free players as mounts

Feels like Wretch in the existing arc now needs to be remade with this set as his primary.

The railroad crossbucks are AWESOME.

The lack of free-player mounts is a SLAP IN THE FAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!!

Kind of a shame. Could have made a great control set, with the best pet ever, now that we have doppelganger technology.

But I'm sure it's still great.

It also has an enemy debuff that enhances other debuffs from the set.

It'll be interesting to see the limits on these. Can it be applied to more than one ally/enemy at a time? Can you have both the ally and enemy ones active at the same time?

And the momentum thing for Titan weapons sounds very cool! Almost like a signature powerset for Brutes.

I was banking on Staff Melee, but I suppose I could roll with hitting people with a railroad crossing sign.

I have an Axe Brute right now who uses Fury as a "momentum building" mechanic. Looks like I'm going to have to re-roll.

And though I think it'll be an unpopular opinion: I actually like this idea better than staves and lances, and I feel like it's a little closer, at least, to the super hero feel. Though I wouldn't be opposed to a couple of such weapons being included in the set.

When's he going to get around to rewriting the rest of the old content?

Also, maybe I misheard but it sounded to me like Time Manipulation had an enemy debuff that enhanced all of its other debuffs on said enemy. Which sounds like a relatively interesting shtick if you ask me.

Titan Weapons also won't be in I21/Freedom, which is kind of sad as its gimmick sounds pretty interesting.

I really hope they're planning some way to go directly into them from the Praetorian arcs, then, since we're so very bloated in that range as it is.

They said that its accessible for Praetorians who haven't gone to Primal yet (via the underground). Hopefully there will be some introduction to it via one of the contacts.

Thanks guys. That's great news, in my book.

They did reiterate that Time Manip and Titan Weapons were only 2 of many powersets that were in the works.

Wait ... when did they say that? They said you could get to the zone as a praetorian directly (so continuing on without traveling to primal earth), but I don't remember them ever mentioning an upper level range.

Well I don't know about unpopular exactly. Off hand it seems a little more video-game/manga ish to me than comic book exactly, but in any case it sounds like the mechanic will be a lot of fun. I have to say, the railroad crossing sign is fantastic.

Also I'm admittedly not as 'up' on comic books as I was ages back, but I really seem to recall more characters who fought with a staff than ones who fought with giant swords.

So can we buy free players as mounts in the store then?

You can play for free from level 1 to level 50, but every time a VIP player wants a ride you have to carry them piggyback where ever they want to go.

I admit, I'm hard pressed to think of a superhero who I'd classify as using a "Titan Weapon". But it seems like a staple with "super strong" characters involves occasionally going postal with an extra-large chunk of the scenery. Since game mechanics don't really let us do both, being able to use it as a character theme works for me.

Of course, it could just be manga-bias, yeah, since I still see Eastern "superheroes" as being pretty super, and such. But there are plenty of staves there, too, yet "Titan Weapons" do feel more at home in the general mythos to me, for whatever reason.
