Who would you pick as your 2?

If I'm not paying, I'm not playing.
I love this game and the only times I've canceled have been due to burnout or PC issues as oppossed to cost. Heck, most of the time I remain sub'd just to be able to post here.

If I were to cancel, it'd be for one of those reasons, thus I wouldn't be playing at all.

That said, I'm in wait and see mode. If it turns out that the difference between ViP and Premium is marginal AND I end up having to fork over more cash for stuff on top of the sub... Yeah, then I might free up that $15 a month for the PP instead.

(As an aside: Picking 2 characters out of my 138 would be torture, sheer unmitigated torture.)

My namesake scrapper and my Tanker. Both tricked out to the gills.

I'd get 14 if I slipped to Premium but the first two would be my namesake blaster and my tanker Shadowguardinal.

But then, I don't intend to stop paying my subscription unless something drastic happens and then I probably wouldn't have internet either so... meh.

My namesake and my SS/Fire brute - one fun alt and one power alt, basically.

If I absolutely had to choose I would go with Kronaros and Lord Kron. Kronaros is a Kinetic Melee/Super Reflexes scrapper who is the living incarnation of the imagination and creativity of a benevolent omnipotent being. Lord Kron is a Claws/Dark Armor Brute who existed before reality did, was kicked out of reality itself for introducing the concept of entropy, and has clawed his way back for the sole purpose of literally tearing reality to shreds. Both have similar costumes, both are designed around the incarnate system, both are complete mary sues, and both have backstories that do horrible, horrible things to the canon of the game.

Style and utility.

Well I only play one char in CoX and he is a peacebringer, so I guess if I want to play, I'll be paying.

If I were limited to two, it'd be the two in my signature--my very first hero and villain.

But that won't be the case, as I've purchased enough bonus slots on Victory that (as of right now) I wouldn't have to give up many--if any--characters if I were to drop to Premium.

Given that I'm horribly afflicted with altitis, as evidenced by my 150 or so characters (most of whom are under level 10), I wouldn't pick any of them.

I'd probably just end up rotating those two slots over and over again, trying out different ideas and themes. Only this time, I'd have to think in terms of character duos, rather than teams of 6 or 12.

A lot of the fun of the game for me is trying new things.....new costumes.....new powers......seeing how a new hero works with a new partner.....etc.


There will never be enough content in CoH......people burn through new content in a matter of days.........you have to go out and find things for yourself to keep the game fresh and interesting.....for me fresh is trying the same old thing.....with a new hero.

Sure. The RP will be effected by new players. But...Still. Going to a VIP server which will end up being just a giant mass of people.

Whats happens to our Character names?

I guess if I was hard pressed to move Id move

Rift-Dancer and White-Swan...or Disomnia.

Even though our play time is no where near where it use to be, I would be shot by Sister Flame if I thought about opting to move to Free Play.

But, if I had to choose two, it would be Sister Flame and Brother Frost, followed by Takes Care Of Pets (Flame's MM) and Nun Chucks (My 50 Scrapper).

In the VERY unlikely situation where I cancelled a VIP...

I'd pick two new slots and play the game from a totally fresh perspective.

I suppose it would have to be the two battling for top spot in my forum avatar, Electric-Knight and Malfaz...

E3 Blaster and Mind/Psi Dom, respectively.

Choice #1: Shadow Ravenwolf

No Brainer, My Namesake and first Level 50.

Choice #2: Doc Ravenwolf

While I can't bring myself to play Doc, I'll be damned if I ever put him in a place where I've willingly locked him down while the servers still function.

Well, since non-VIP access locks one out of incarnate content, I'd probably give my 50s a break during any lapse period and pick two of my alts to keep lvling/building.

It's possible I'd want to leave one slot with a 50 and the second slot open for creating/deleting various alts until I found another one I liked enough to keep building. The first scenario is more likely though.

Or a combination, probably keep one of my mid-lvl toons and leave an available slot for experimenting with stuff. Eventually something would fill that slot and become the next obsession though.
