Who would you pick as your 2?

I couldn't pick just to. Luckily, even if I let my subscription lapse I would have several more to choose from given that I unlocked every extra slot on Virtue that I possibly could.

I bought and earned enough character slots that I will have at least 20 characters available on Pinnacle.
That's the thing about becoming a Premium player as opposed to being a brand new free player: You get to keep access to the things you paid money for in the past, and things earned through Vet Rewards. Since I bought and earned additional slots, I will never have to choose just 2 characters.
The characters going inactive will most likely be whichever characters I play the least.
If I were forced to pick just 2, I'd probably have to go with my BS/DA scrapper and maybe my Rad/Sonic defender or Sonic/Devices blaster.

For my two..
Definitely my Kin Defender. The only toon I have with all seven anniversary badges.
My second would be my Stone / Warmace Tanker. I do no damage, but I am nigh invulnerable! (Unless it's psionic attacks, then I pick up the nearest blaster and use him as a shield.)
Level 50 Heroes: Atomic Twinkie, Muddy McCrush, Master Jolt, Sureshot Jones, Wushubot, Sirenbot, Phantom Warp
Level 50 Villians: Soul Breaker
Urban Renewal SG / Urban Decay VG (Virtue Server)
The initial choice would be quite easy for me. It would have to be my two corruptors, who are my primary characters. One is my main for missioning, and my namesake, the other is sort of my RP main.
I wouldn't last long, though, before I had to acquire at least two additional slots, one for one of my brutes and one for one of my stalkers. I love my corrs, but sometimes I just have to hit something in the face or stab it in the back.
This would be an easy choice for me since I only have two characters (at the moment). I do make alts but if their playstyle doesn't end up suiting my tastes, I delete them without a second thought.
1. (+3) Ice/Fire/Soul Tanker - My main. Also a decent farmer (to help fund alts). When I want to play solo, I can grab this guy and destroy stuff at +4/x8.
2. (+3) Fort/Fort/Soul Arachnos Widow - My teaming toon. Can buff, debuff, mez, contribute damage, and is tough enough to survive team wipes. Very versatile and enjoyable to play when I'm not in the mood to tank.

Well, it's a good thing I won't ever be limited to two characters. I have enough premium rewards to play at least 8 characters. More than that, of course, I just reactivated my yearly sub.

I'd have to join the start-from-scratch crowd. I'm down to "only" about 75 characters since I let my second account lapse, but picking two out of the most-played 20 or so would be almost impossible.
Not that this is likely to be a problem,: I intend to remain subbed (at least until it's finally time to call it quits entirely). Like I'm sure it is for most roleplayers, my characters have a certain degree of life of their own, and losing the majority of them would be upsetting!

I'd have a load more than just 2 slots unlocked, but if I didn't I'd be torn between:
My namesake, a 50 Dark/Dark Defender on Victory, just cos he's my first character and all.
Pinchy, my 50 Crab Spider on Freedom, because he's probably my favourite character.
Or just a pair of lowbie alts, on the basis they've got more of the game left to level through, more character development/progression left, etc.
I'd have to go with:
1. Steele Magnolia - My Main on Pinnacle, the character I created with my husband and our friends when we first played the game even though they're all gone now, just in case they ever return.
2. Sgt Pandora - My Main on Liberty, SG coleader, signature character that everyone knows me by.
That said I wouldn't go FTP. I love alting too much. I've got about 50 across 3 servers.

American Valor and unknown it would depend on why if I lost most of my alts I think I might just play a different game. especially if I lose forum access to write.

I should have four slots, but I might just start over completely. I haven't started any new characters in ages. My past favorite characters are all retired at level 50, except a level 48 dominator (who will probably be 50 by the time Freedom rolls around). It could be about time for a fresh start.
