You are my new hero! I've been hoping someone would do exactly this. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

as long as you keep him topped with coal he'll punch the bahjeebus out of baddies... but I suppose he'll also draw the wrath of the EPA for not being a "green" hero... oh well.

I made this post based off of screenshots and trailers and before I found out that most of the pieces I was referring to were either not available to the right gender or not tintable. You've made good use of the few pieces that don't have mandatory brown on them, which is essentially most of the female cloth elements, but the things I wanted were the boiler backpack and the hats, both of which have large uncolourable brass elements.

Moreover, the pack represents something I dislike a great deal - style over substance, or shiny graphics over customization, as it were. Unless we're talking about a costume piece which fills in a brand new category, like tobotic legs, monster heads, invisible torsos or so forth, what I want out of my costume pieces is the ability to use them in a variety of designs and make them work in all of them, and anything with brass or hair in this pack is hard-locked to a very specific take on what steampunk should represent.

As of right now, I have at least three characters I'd like to update with Steampunk pieces, but can't because I don't want brown in their costumes.

Starting off I did a few subtle things. The new belt makes a great sash or "fold" for any sort of dress. Or even as a shirt. I updated an old dress to use it, giving it what I feel is a more realistic style.

Messing around with some of the other options I came up with another dress which is decent, although it doesn't look as good with legs spread.

Using the new boots you can do a pretty decent Carnie look. With the usage of some corsets and a few other pieces I imagine it could be pretty convincing.

I also found that some of the parts mix well with a few martial arts pieces to make some pretty nice combat and martial arts outfits.

I also pieced together some leather and buckles to make a pretty satisfying dominatrix outfit.

They really did.

I mean, I can see maybe why the various skirts and corsets are locked to female only (not saying whether I agree or disagree) but things like the Clock Belt? REALLY?

Ahh! I see. I didn't quite understand the whole forced-brown-tint thing and I now know why. As you pointed out I haven't been using any of the stuff that barely or doesn't tint. That, for me is no problem because I may never use them - but now I can see how it would affect other folks. That, now I know you weren't being silly and joking around.

Besides blood, the trail aura is nice for those aquatic-style denizens who might want to trail water around.

I wish some of the parts would come without some of the extra gizmos. Such as the male hat that has pipes sticking out of it for no reason. Sure, have a version with the pipes but you already made the hat so why not also offer it as is?

I played around with it (no screen shots yet) and rate it a solid B. The lack of color options for pieces and the enforced extra bits on some parts kept it from being an "A" but I still plan on getting it.

Great costumes on both!
And... haha... I noticed something similar with the aura colored brown...
I think there's an option for that aura with just the hands... might work well for her!

I'll just share this to add to the collection of examples, but this was really just a sort of generic lemme see the new pieces... then I messed with it to make it a bit of a character.

A bit of a steampunk tinkerer:

I love how the wings work with the mangler gears shoulder pieces on the Galvonic Man

I also have some toxic-themed characters who will soon be trailing green or purple contamination everywhere they go.

Hrmph! "Hrmph", I say! Most of these aren't dramatic uses but me trying to fit parts into existing concepts.

Here's a air pirate type thing I was working on once upon a time:

A couple alternate outfits for Convent, my Ninja/Dark MM:

Some new gear for Check Valve:

And, finally, sometimes it's the little details such as Afrodyte's "Flava Flav" inspired accessories:

My character PPD Shell could do with a Steampunk costume slot! Hrm... I'll have to do that in a bit.
