Awesome to see this, Beastyle. Unfortunately, I literally a day or two ago purchased the Wedding Pack (which is the only one now on-sale that I don't have)

Will you folks there consider throwing a 50% off on the Origins pack?

This should work very very well sales wise.

Surely anniversary = party = discount on the Party Pack?

Put the Party Pack on sale and you're likely to see it purchased more than the other (listed, discounted) items combined.

Long (semi-rant) Version:
Well, I have every single pack/expansion/addon/etc. except the Party Pack (since it costs more than it should) and the Jetpack (since it's a recurring cost that I can't justify when the in-game versions are free and mechanically identical).

I do encourage people to snatch up the Jetpack for their Praetorians.. especially since the only alternative for a Praetorian is either the Flight pool or the crazy-expensive-to-craft-and-better-off-sold-to-an-npc Jet Pack Recipe.

Seriously though, the only thing I have never purchased, or considered purchasing, is the Party Pack. Yes, for the price. Why is it not on sale? The devs/publicity/marketing got slammed so horribly unpleasantly when the Party Pack was released and well above 50% of those complaints were from a PRICE perspective. Cheap Party Pack = sales. Win for the company and Win for the players. Everyone but those who wanted it completely free, will win.

And yeah.. pretty much everybody I've met in-game has at least 2 of the 3 other noteworthy items: Wedding Pack (costumes, fun emote & cool emotes) Good Vs. Evil (Temp Power awesomeness + costumes) Mac Special Edition/Mac Special Edition Item Pack (Mission Teleport.. 'nuff said)

Your sales team has made a blunder twice now (ignoring the name) with the Party Pack... maybe someone should sit them down and give them a stern talking-to and maybe threaten to take away their free coffee.

I might still need the Mac-Pack on my second account, so that's a possibility, but I already have the GvE pack on both accounts and no interest in the Wedding Pack or Jet Pack.

I can't speak for any other player, but I can sincerely state, for myself, that the exclusion of the Party Pack as a discounted item (should be 50% off at least) from the anniversary sale is simply dumb.

There is more than enough proof of what players thought of the Party Pack here alone in the forums, and from most of those posts, price vs content was the key element of why people didn't get it.

This is to be a celebration for 7 years of CoH...a rare event for any MMO; this alone warrants a serious party, and what would have been more fitting than a Party Pack at 1/2 price (at least)?

C'mon guys; is it really that hard to figure out?

Regardless, thank you at least for the discounted renames and server tranfers. I'm sure I'll partake in a few of these at least.

I'll be taking advantage of the server transfers, I've got a couple 50s over on Justice who need to meet my Guardian friends.

Which pack has the the Prestige Power Slide power? Is that available? Make it half price

The presitge power slide is only available in City of Heroes Collector's DVD. I tracked down a copy about a year ago for 35 bucks.

It can be found but you have to get one where the code has not been activated. (The first one I got had already been used and I had to return it)

what amazes me is that they didn't take this opportunity to put all their packs on sale at 50% off and rake in far more then they are on the limited, and rarely needed by people packs they did list. /boggle.

Well, at least I was able to grab the Mac pack at half price for my 2nd account, I've been debating whether or not to buy it... or rather, *when* to buy it, lol.

Still need some of the stuff that's not on sale though

A quick question, how can you tell (via the Account Managerment screen) which Packs you already have?

Apart from the very first one all my just say "Perk". Or does it simply stop you from purchasing the same pack again?

I realise I can log in and check for each one, but then I have to research for what to look for for each pack etc.

It's unlikely to see any of the packs that came out in the last year discounted. That's just normal retail marketing.

Though as a customer, I value the Party Pack at one third it's actual cost. <shrug>

Just a general thought/suggestion. It would be nice to extend the server transfer discout through the next week so that people who want to take advantage of the server merge to move characters between the NA/EU servers can get the discout.
