Discussion: Issue 20: Incarnates
The Flames of Prometheus threatened with theft by villains? Nooooooooo! They have been part our Hero SG's background for years. The Intrepids will stand alongside of Positron and The Midnighters to protect this sacred relic, whose loss could spell disaster for the world!
(Maybe we can get some of our Heroes turned into npc's in the SF missions? pretty please? )

I wanted to act arrogant towards you NA folks as I, for once, would know more about the future of the game than you, no fair!! :'(
That said, you haven't seen the individual Slots' actual powers and values yet (at least not unless I skipped more than I fear) >

Feels like i20 has too much. I thought 2 slots an issue would be fine.
Caulderone, while I'll admit this is mostly theory on my part, I think the devs' focus on group content like this is both diversifying what COH has to offer as well as addressing a long-standing "weakness." It seems most games start hardcore/group then as they age focus on casual/solo... I guess we're seeing the reverse here as COH spent most of its life being casual/solo. Also note that this content is more of a repeatable nature by design.
Hopefully you'll see more content that appeals to you before your renewal comes up. While my SG and I have (much to our surprise) enjoyed the current focus of the content/systems, I can readily understand why its not going to appeal to everyone.
Yay!
Im not sure why i am so excited because not a lot of new stuff (that interests me) was announced but i cant wait

And yes, I'm aware that "you can craft threads and notices with shards." But it already takes hundreds of shards to complete the Alpha. If that conversion rate is right for threads, it will take thousands of them to complete enough thread based components to get to the very rare in trees that use them. So yes, it's technically possible to solo it. It's also technically possible to get from Florida to Hong Kong without using motorized transportation. Realistically, most people aren't going to do it. They'll use the faster option, or they won't try it at all.

Please, no more stories featuring Freedom Phalanx as enemies EVER again after I20.

As for the Issue announcement:
The Villain Strike Force alone makes it worth the price of entry. And I don't even like TFs/SFs.

This issue has too much stuff. They should've taken some of it out.
...
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

It costs 20 threads for a common component and 60 threads for an uncommon component, you need all 4 uncommons to make a rare component. You need 4 rares to make a Very rare component.
You can convert 10 shards to 6 threads every 20h or an unlimited amount of 10:3 conversions.

Oh, and 100 additional for each rare component you make, IIRC.

I'm more curious about what we're not seeing... stuff they're holding back on for PR purposes or because they're not certain it'll make it into i20 (ie, stretch goals). But, overall, looks great to me. Sort of wondering how a League in Siren's Call or Bloody Bay would work out.
