If not, Can I come? I don't frequent the Forums very often, so I wasn't aware there was a Meet this year until TheOrrery mentioned it.
I can bring my own laptop ^_^
And I'll be driving too, so I'm hoping there is parking?

Trying to work out the least annoying way to get there, either a train from Chav Town to Sheffield and then to the meet, or hopefully a train Chav Town B to there.

There's still space for a couple of laptops (I should really say wired connections to plug in to) so you're more than welcome to come along. There's a multi-storey car park directly opposite Global Gaming, although I'm not sure of the prices they charge. I know there are other car parking sites around Birmingham, but as I don't drive I'm not entirely sure where they are I'm afraid.

Moor St Station, The Pallasades or The Bull Ring are acceptable options if you don't mind a 10 minute walk, they'll certainly be cheaper than the NCP jobs that are scattered around. There's also one at the Indoor Markets and another by the Arcadian (Though don't attempt that one if you've got a big car) though they're probably another 5 minutes further away.
I'm still not sure how I'm going to get in; driving is a pain, expensive to park and means I can't drink, getting the train is a pain because I'm miles away from a station at this end and a taxi will cost me the best part of £8 each way. And no, I'm not walking 5 miles with all my laptop kit I guess the bus is an option.

I'm pretty sure I can get to the thing by 12ish on Saturday. I'll probably duck out at 12ish on Sunday owing to a need to get back to the relative safety of home before suffering a total Seffs shutdown.

Okay, if everything goes according to plan I move in to the apartment on the Saturday, and it's a 20 minute walk to the venue. Am sure I can put off all the minor stuff such as unpacking and acquiring living essentials until after the weekend

Surprise last-minute self-invite!
I'll be popping by for a while on Saturday (which is Shad-speak for "making a special trip up") to say hi, chat to people, and maybe get some gaming in.
I'll warn people now that I'm unlikely to have Pix in tow (
) and definitely won't have Baby Shad with me, but I will bring pictures.
I'll have my laptop with me, but since my aim is to hang out more than to game, don't worry about space for me.

Kall and I should be in Birmingham from *around* 2/3pm... that gives us enough time to wander around and double check stuff.
Which leaves the early evening free for "unofficial stuff" to happen.
If you are getting there friday afternoon/evening time and fancy meeting up at all, drop me a PM with a contact number (that you will have access to on friday), and something will be arranged as a meet up.
If no-one replies, i shall just be located in a random pub drowning my sorrows....

Looks like I won't be able to make it to the meet up until Sunday morning, however I'm hoping to make it into town for beer 'n' hugs on Friday evening.

So, SCS have forceably arranged a sit in for me on Saturday, I don't think i can make it back from Birmingham to essex on an hours notice which is what they'll give me
