DON'T PANIC
I hadn't met anyone up till that point last year but as soon as I walked in the door (after saying to Kall how would I be recognised) it was like old friends reunited even though I'd been chatting with them only 5 hours earlier.
The worst part was getting to the train station there and back as they'd decided to do major repairwork on that weekend.

The idea is just to meet fellow players and hopefully have a good time, make a few new friends and maybe win some shinies to take home.

Booked hotel Paragon. After checking prices decided to take the coach £18 as against £120 for the train.
Traveling down on the Friday and leaving Monday. So I'll be there (as long as I don't get lost) for the 10am start

I play on the NA servers, same Sg as Minotaur actually. I live about 10mins on the bus from the City Center. Can't come to the event itself (sounds like you need the 'puters) but I'd like to meet up with you guys. I'm guessing the pub your on about is The Square Peg so I'd always come along for a bevvie or 2.
I kind of know all the pubs in the city centre for some weird reason,probably because trying to find food for a coeliac is a pain. also the place in Digbeth maybe finished next year and also the USA team are training and staying here in Brum during the Olympics so could be interesting.

Not sure when folks will be going for food/drinks (as in times etc) it was pretty staggered last year with people just going when they were hungry. A few of us did meet up on the Friday night, although having a couple of folks under 18 we ended up descending en-mass to the hotel a few of us were staying at and chatting till the wee hours of the morning, instead of going to the pub (I don't drink anyways
). Saturday evening a few of us did go to the Square Peg (Wetherspoons McPub) for a bite to eat. Best thing to do would be to pop down and see what's happening
Global Gaming mentioned the possible move to Digbeth last year. If it's bigger and better premises with more computers then it might be a strong possibility for next year
(If I'm still running these events and Paragon haven't taken over by then! Or unless there's suddenly a bigger better place elsewhere )

Eeep, this will be a busy weekend! Friday 2nd September is my last day in Redhill, Surrey and Monday 5th September is my first day at our office in Birmingham. Hopefully will have my own place (viewings next week - Edgbaston, Harborne, City Centre) by then to make things a little less hectic!

Really sorry to drop this on such short notice but I'll be moving to Stevenage in two weeks time so I'm afraid I won't be making it to the event now. If anyone wants to swing past and say hi to Ready and I thats fine though. haha.
And as you may have guessed - it means Ready's out of action for that time too.
