Seffs has been ill this last month, but can still remember where the place was. Hoping to get there for 11/12ish on Saturday and then not sleep for about 24+ hours. Helping!
-
Oh, hi there.
Seffs may have been wondering when this would be mumbled about. Seffs watches and waits and plots, from the dark spaces between the st- wait. No. 'far as you know.
Aaaanywho. Yeah, I'll be around, 'cause it's just plain fun. Can't bring a computer so I'll have to nab one of the ones at the venue. -
I'm pretty sure I can get to the thing by 12ish on Saturday. I'll probably duck out at 12ish on Sunday owing to a need to get back to the relative safety of home before suffering a total Seffs shutdown.
-
Seffs is devising a far more cunning plan.
Notably, not bothering to sleep. Last years' overnighting was rather fun, after all. -
Quote:I pop in now and then, usually lurking.Haven't seen you in game for a while oh Seffs of the squeaks and chitters
Depending on the 'maybes' that turn up there should be enough computers to go around too(okay, maybe one or two folks sharing but we'll see!)
I'm just not feeling a CoH vibe at the moment, which is a shame as the community's awesome. Which is why I really liked the last meet.
That and I'm still playing World of Tanks after being shown it there. x.x -
Hmm... Unlikely I can wrangle my computer to Brum. >.< OTOH, I can always turn up anyway, I guess.
The last one was a blast, so if I can turn up I'm liable to stick around for both days. Hotels? Nah, just forget sleep and game more. =4
Also, this means I'll have to get in game now and then, doesn't it? -
Dante, didn't I tell you you were going to be internet famous?
But yes. Was a very fun couple of days and night. Serious credit to the guys running the place, they were good fun as well. -
Seffs is likely to be there around lunchtime, either getting in for 12 or 1. And may wander around looking for food/the place.

Seffs has just gotten over a bout of somethind horrible which led to Seffs being unable to move, let alone book anywhere. So, Seffs at least will be pulling and all-nighter. Is packing lots of pringles and Dr. Pepper. \o/
-
Sure we can. You've booked a hotel, which implies you don't intend to have an all-night LAN deathmatch session or something.
-
Ah, I'm easily swayed. Pencil me in.

Hm. It is tempting, though the SeffsComputer is immobile.
Well not quite. It can move 6" a turn. Which isn't much. -
One of my favourite forum RP characters way back was the local god-like character. He'd started as the comic relief, but the more I thought about it, the more ludicrous some of the things he did were.
But, and here's the thing; after 4 years, maybe one person had actually worked it out. The problem with a character who can do anything is that they are boring. And, here's the other thing, bored. So, 99.9% of the time, he was nothing more than a sword swinger and the worst mage in recorded history. Why? Because it was funny. And fun, both for myself and the character. Potential to do something is one thing, it's more what you do with it, I find.
CoH-wise, Sera has the magical potential to do whatever she likes, essentally. It's still liable to burn her out (which is what happened to her recently), but it's incredibly unlikely that I'll really mention it again outside of this. The NHU's main mage (*waves at Arete*) gets exasperated by the fact she's utterly apathetic about it. I don't find her dull to either RP or play as, as she's odd enough in personality and exactly as powerful as she needs to be for a mission. Occasionally she under-estimates, admittedly.
Uh, anyway. Yeah. I don't see a problem with characters that are ludicrously powerful, providing they're sensible about it. If you can end threats to the world/the world with a click of your fingers, no-one cares. You don't, they don't and everyone around you doesn't.
*shrugs, hands over 2p for a steam of conciousness tract* -
As you remove the broken lightbulb, you find the filament has been replaced with a neatly folded note, adressed to you
'I apologise, but I cannot tell you how many Menders it would require to change a single bulb for the moment. I wish I could tell you more, but know this. They are not to be trusted. This 'lightbulb changing' is but a ruse. Who are the Menders truly helping with this illumination? You? Your time? Replace this buld for now and when you see me in the pillar, we shall shed light on this.' -
45-47 on my AR/Pain corr. Will eventually be my first redside 50 after only 6 or so months. (considering my first and only 50 hero took two years, now...)

Speaking on behalf of the UK members, I'd just like to make it clear there's no evil British conspiracy. Never has been, never will be. It is not a movement to restore the British empire. Malta operatives are clearly nothing to do with this. God Does Not Save the Queen.
Move along. -
Now, the Valentine's oft overlooked. Enough room to keep a medium-sized shark in relative comfort, and offers none of that pesky armour or firepower that plagued other tanks of the period.
-
Of course it's the Hokey Cokey. If it wasn't, it would be wrong and if things are wrong on the Internet, people get distressed.
Things that are wrong on the Internet include the word 'faucet', the colour red and Americans. -

The villain ATs as a whole have hardly set my world on fire.
That said, for single ATs, I can't do Tankers. -
Seffs does like the odd play. Behold, colour as we go sword fighting in hell and visit the bastion of madness.

Hello llo frie Friend. wo Won't you come in in?
Yeah, just messing around. -
25th December, 11:00ish, somewhere in the Shard
For the contraptions known as the Serabots, actually waking their Creator up brought up major theological issues. While typically Her sleep was brief, a combination of celebratory mulled wine and an insistence that She celebrated with a serious lay-in had led to the five senior robots launching into a debate about when exactly She should be woken.
This had led, five hours later, to #4 gingerly opening the door to one of the staterooms off the main hall and trying not to consider the implications of waking up one's god. That said, seeing one's god sprawled out on the bed, wearing an XL t-shirt, head hanging over the side and snoring away might adversely affect the faith of those less firm in their commitments. Now, however, came the delicate task of actually waking Her up. While #2 had advocated simply ringing a bell, #'s 1, 3 and 5 had been fans of the direct approach. Sighing inwardly, it decided to go with the majority vote and risk it's life by waking her manually. Slinking over to the side of the bed, it poked her on the shoulder and leapt into a corner of the room to cower. After five minutes of no divine wrath, it was forced to come to the conclusion that more dramatic events would be required to awaken Her.
Twenty minutes later, after spending 20 seconds prodding Her shoulder, 10 minutes cowering and the rest of the time fretting, it finally decided to enact plan B. It shuffled over towards Her and decided the best thing to do was to yank Her halo and see what happened.
30 seconds later
Just down the corridor, the rest of the robots were slightly less than surprised to hear a loud yell followed by a rather louder thunderclap and the sound of metal clattering. They were, however, rather more surprised when Sera kicked the door open and began chasing them, waving #4's right arm and yelling incoherent threats.

For Apercu, Christmas wasn't exactly what it used to be. She'd found the decoration and celebrations far too demoralising only a few hours into Christmas Eve and had decided that she needed a break. She'd been almost tempted to head back to Lea's place, but figured the atmosphere there would be a little too saccharine for her. So, here she was, reading a book on the suit's HUD and hiding well out of sight of anyone or anything who'd disturb her.
Maybe she'd consider it a present? After a moment or two, she decided to work out how much having a day off was actually going to cost her. -
Sundays are good, as are most weekdays around 8ish.

If you're doing villain groups, this song makes me think of Malta doing Malta-y things.
