get rid of enhancement combining screen
Yes please.

The enhancement combining screen serves a purpose, though: it's the only way to combine two enhancements already slotted in the power.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

Wow, I forgot this feature even existed....lol
I've been using IOs for so long and since you can't combine them, I damn near forgot that was still in the game

The Enhancement UI as a whole has always been far too clunky and needs a revamp.

Nothing as annoying as trying to slot your enhancements when someone is waiting on you and you have to wait for that "Combined" or "Failed" to pop up.
It adds up fast when you're doing multiple enhancements. Sometimes I just want to scream at the game "No whammies! No whammies!" cause it feels like the worst game show ever.
The "Failed" sound effect is the saddest little sound ever.

Yes please!
Or, at least, make it faster.

You don't need to wait for the combining screen to finish. You can exit out of it as soon as it pops up and skip the visual effect. You can proceed through upgrading enhancements based only on how fast you can click and drag.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

And yes, I still use SOs. People can just deal with that.

I follow techbots thoughts, it takes more time than it should. I would almost say ditch the whole combination mechanic. I don't know that it's all that relevant anymore.

The combine animation was cool for about the first 3-4 times back in 2004. The reamaining 5,000 times since then have been /faceplant.

i also use SOs until the upper lvls because they are just overall faster, i usually start them at 22 and if i get every 5 levels i usually dont have problem of the combination screen, but if i let it go, then the combining gets extremely annoying
so /signed to getting rid of the screen for combining
I think it's been overtaken by newer content, so playing around with SOs isn't quite as important as it once was, so it maybe doesn't need such a flashy interface anymore.

IOs are a hassle that I only bother with at 47 onwards. Simple as that. Given the game is still balanced around SOs, I don't think thats unreasonable.

Heck, I've unlocked the incarnate (I solo mine, yes, including new trapdoor the other day on a Grav/Kin) on mostly - or completely - SO'd out characters.
It's fine at low levels. At 40+, it makes the process much longer than it needs to be.
If some people still like it then give us an Option:
"Use ENH Combining Screen" = Yes/No
Makes everyone happy.
Please, get rid of the screen where two enhancements possibly combine, for 1-2 seconds, for no real reason. It makes reslotting take about 2-3 times longer than it needs to, and really offers nothing to the players except annoyance.
Just have the enhancements say "combined!" or "failed" when you toss it in to the slot.
