I'm kind of surprised that they made it a vet perk, and I think it's a shame the didn't just add it to the general game, like they did the ability to access the arenas with a / command.
In a way, it seems like a bit of a minority interest as a vet reward. It'll be a 'meh' power to some people, and a 'yay, awesome' power to others, and it seems a shame that a lot of the people who'd really like to use it probably won't ever see it.

When there are a growing number of newer people playing today who have no realistic chance to expect that the game will be around for ANOTHER seven years for them to get these newest awards I tend to think the current Vet system will only become more of a DIS-incentive for the general player base than something positive for the game.

It occurs to me there does exist the possibility of teammates asking someone with the power to use it on their behalf and it could become a source of annoyance to some vets. It's not like we can hide our vet badges.

There does remain the very real possibility that the devs can implement a good feature in a bad place. This is one I would accept as being arguable. YMMV, of course. But if enough people feel it would make a better booster item or have expressed it in suggestion forums before it became a vet reward (both in this case), then maybe there's something there for the Devs to consider.
Hey, some of us are at least trying to meet halfway. I'm sure coming up with new rewards is a real pain in the ***, so offer an alternative power that's just a shade less as beneficial.

I know others have suggested it, but I would like a vet reward to be a character server transfer. I know it will never happen, but that would be ideal for me.

I would love to see a Vet Reward along the lines of, Choose Any One of the Following: Respec, AE Slot(s), Server Transfer, Character Rename, etc. A ~$10 value for x many $15/months? Seems reasonable.

However the 84 month reward is (for market lovers) a dream come true. And then as I realized it will also be a source of annoyance as people will ask them on teams to do it for them. I don't see them changing it at this point as a vet reward but I would love for them to make the same or similar functionality available to people without a vet reward. I also don't hold out much hope for that but I thought we could ask.

SwellGuy, FWIW, maybe you could PM a dev this thread and see if they will at least discuss via post or reply you can share some of thoughts on Vet reward as they get out longer and longer. Probably won't reveal too much I bet but at least some of the reasoning for future rewards.

How about access to some of the "hard to get lucky enough to get the one you want Bank Temp Random powers"? I have multiple Roguedemonhunters that need the shotgun... and have needed them for years. Unless of course your eventualy gonna let us craft em'. Or even if you are it could still function,
"Here longtime vet, pick one per character, of a bunch of craftable powers you never have to craft again!"
Bam! A fun vet temp that isn't gamebreaking. Hmmm.. It would be glorious for theme toons alone.

I think it would actually improve the game, everyone having access to this, through a booster or an in game accolade.
Just think of the improved supply of some things.
Coming up to 21 months in a couple of days so 84 is a long way for me. Would love it if they make a base item or an accolade like field crafter so us newbs can use this too. So many times i'm running between the base and atlas WWs either clearing my base of its salvage or crafting up recipes for slotting a char, would be great to get something for the rest of us to use. Even if it's on a cooldown timer.

Unless it allows me to go to the market while faceplanted to buy a wakie when I need it, I really don't see the usefulness of it. 
You don't even get recipe drops untill you start taking on level 10 mobs. And I guess one can say, well, I PL my toons. But if that's the case, then wouldn't you be basically, drop obtained must sell, stopping the PLing to access the market?
Now it might be useful when waiting to start a TF and everyone needs to show up in zone, or you're at a mission entrance waiting for everyone to arrive.
It's a vet reward. It's a vet reward that really doesn't break anything and not something anyone really needs.
Now I'm not against it becoming available some other way (I don't even get the vet reward for a year) but out of all the vet rewards, this being the one made available through other means is the least on the scale that should happen.
I'm more inclined to believe a new player might quit due to being locked out of certain costume pieces through vet rewards than this minor QoL vet reward that many people wouldn't likely use.
Now Belly Shirts and Hacker Design being locked out untill (15 months I believe) is something to quit over! Trench coats, demon and angel wings are in the same boat, as with all other costume pieces obtained through vet rewards.
As long as they keep away from putting in costume pieces I may want as a vet reward, all is good imo!

I always thought it should be an award for getting all of the wentworths / blackmarket badges. Although I was thinking another summonable object for you and your team mates to use like the portable workbench. Without a stupid 1 hour timer though since I don't see how such powers are game breaking...
Still wanting the workbench to have a quick recharge timer like ouroportals.
