My character stable is full of names I was surprised to get, mostly because I get hung up on names, and won't play a character unless I really like their name.
All on Virtue:
Starboy
Skyboy
Baron Winter
Judge Midnight
Mister Wizard
Kid Goat
Moxie Danger
Doc Steam
Crime Queen
Doctor Deathtrap
Pigboy
Found but traded/released:
Pillar
Rocketman
Mama Juju
Timehawk
Medicine Man
Dinoboy
Zooboy

Yep, they can do that. Probably the easiest way is to look at the list of who's online now, and PM a redname. They usually respond pretty quickly.

Ok, thank you.
(sorry about the double post, not sure how that happened) -
Just a quick question; I had been under the impression that Hasten could self-stack, but it looks like it's flagged in Mids as "effect does not stack from same caster". Anyone know from experience which of these is correct?

Quote:Set your Sarcasm filter to "on", fellas. Also, If you're a 6 year vet, you should know how trivial debt actually is in the game now. I haven't had more than three bars of debt in...years. And that was gone after 2 missions.

Hello; I have a new main, so with that, comes new art.
Kicking things off with Tovio Rogers
(It's cool; they're Rogue Island Cops, so they had it coming)

Once upon a time, someone made this for me. I don't suppose anyone has the resources (I think she used Fraps or something similar) to hook one of these up for me? I play on Virtue, if that helps, and I could offer some Inf if that helps some more.
Thanks,

I haven't got the time for this, but if I did, I would completely be on board.
If anyone wants the name "Doc Golem", let me know; I always liked it for a noir/pulp monster detective (or detective monster) type. -
RP: The D is probably still the "center" of off-the-cuff RP; if that place isn't your cup of tea, though, it's worth poking around current and slightly older threads here in the Virtue Forum to see if there are any groups or concepts out there that pique your interest.
Leveling/Teaming: DFB is all the rage, and probably rightfully so; it's an easy, canonical way to quickly bypass--at the very least--the Training Origin Enhancement levels. However, there are some pretty neat new low-level arcs dealing with both the destruction of Galaxy City and the Praetorian War; you can access those via Ouro (which is in turn now accessible at level 15 rather than 25), so don't worry if you zip past Twinshot (a new level 5 Contact; but really her teammate Dillo is the star of that show). One of the nice upsides of DFB is that there seems to be an increase in the amount of Positron TFs being undertaken, a TF which is now Less Horrible due to being split into two separate TFs, and completely reworked. There are also more Synapses being run, and the sometimes laborious Sister Psyche TF has been replaced by the always awesome Penelope Yin TF (because Reasons). So it's pretty easy to blast through half of the requirements for TF Commander, while having more fun and less Urrrrgh than previously. -
If you're going so far as to 6-slot Farsight for the 2.5% Ranged Defense Bonus (as well as picking up all those other Ranged Bonuses with sets like Thunderstrike, Lockdown, etc.), it seems counterproductive to fight in melee. If you're going for Farsight+Time's Juncture debuff to hit the melee softcap, then that makes sense, but it's also worth mentioning that Howl--like most cones--is a less effective attack when not used from Range. With this combo, the only (mechanical) benefit to being in melee vs. being at range is the -Dam, so it would be up to you if that's worth the trade-off (mobs tend to have a larger number of melee attacks vs. ranged attacks, and they tend to hit harder, plus you open yourself up to melee mezzes as well as ranged and AoE, yadda yadda).
I see value in both sides of the issue, but if you enjoy a playstyle wherein you scream right in people's faces (or pew pew right in people's faces), then Right On. -

If I'm reading the wiki notes correctly...you can now take just Tough and Weave, without the T1 prereq?

How anti-Purple IOs are you? Reason I ask is that the Contagious Confusion Proc, by itself, makes WoC a much more viable mitigation tool.

Kid Kahuna is a Water/Rad/Levi Corr. I colored Water Burst and Geyser so they look like lava, colored Rad's debuffs a very light blue and its buffs a sunny yellow-orange, and slapped a tiki mask on his second costume. I love it.

Y'know, looking at the math, it doesn't actually seem like a great idea to slot both of those procs in Whirlpool. For some reason I thought the Chance to KD was 33% (Purple Damage Proc rates; I know, I know, OF isn't a Purple Set) in those things, not 20%.
-
Yep. It works out pretty well, actually.
-
That is excellent news, thank you.

Aloha.
I'm wondering how KD and KU play together. I was thinking of slotting the OF and Ragnarok Procs in Whirlpool. Will combining those with Geyser's and Water Burst's inherent KU effects stack and cause KB? -
