Knockdown/Knockup Mechanics: Little Confused
Short answer: No.
Long answer: KD is literally nothing more than a low mag KB. Mag 0.67 and down to be exact. KnockUP is its own beast. The higher the KU mag...the higher stuff flies upward...but that mag has absolutely zero impact to KB mag.

Someone say something funny.
That'll do, pig. That'll do.
On top of what RaikenX said, Whirlpool cannot take Overwhelming Force since it does not allow damage sets.

Geyser is knockup, so it will never turn into knockback.
Water Burst is knockdown, and theoretically if it hit on exactly the same server tick as the OF proc the two magnitudes could stack to cause knockback (I think?), but that should not happen very often at all.
Is the OF proc still not functioning, though?
As I understand the mechanics, KnockUp is Knockback with a different angle (UP of course). I haven't tested it myself, but the OF proc would presumably convert KU into KD. Which wouldn't appear significantly different in practice.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
That is excellent news, thank you.
Oh darn. I even wrote Whirpool and was thinking Whirlwind from the Super Speed pool. Carry on, carry on.

Y'know, looking at the math, it doesn't actually seem like a great idea to slot both of those procs in Whirlpool. For some reason I thought the Chance to KD was 33% (Purple Damage Proc rates; I know, I know, OF isn't a Purple Set) in those things, not 20%.
Aloha.
I'm wondering how KD and KU play together. I was thinking of slotting the OF and Ragnarok Procs in Whirlpool. Will combining those with Geyser's and Water Burst's inherent KU effects stack and cause KB?
