That's why they added your obsession with boobies so you will never remain focused enough to take over the world

It seems that way. What you do is grab a copy of the lyrics. Then, open up Notepad, and type them word for word. Once that's done, sing along using the copy of the lyrics you typed out. You'll pick it up in no time. The song seems slow to me now.

Of course, that trick doesn't always work. Take "Hardware Store", by Weird Al, for example. THAT is a feat of Herculean constitution.

That's been there. I think it was added in I11 or I12, I don't actually remember.

What is the story behind that? I love hearing about these historic recognitions. I've only been around for a short while, so I wasn't here for most of this stuff. I remember when I learned the stories behind Ascendent, and behind Coyote (I think about that every time I talk to the Coyote character). But I knew exactly what I'd found when I came across an old, half-buried, weed-covered statue of the Avatar somewhere in Perez Park. Now THAT was a character who got around! He was also the reason why, upon subscribing, I chose the Virtue server.

Troy Hickman, besides being frequently pant-less (or so he says), writes comics. One arc he wrote was for the City of Heroes comics that ran for a while after the game started - in his story arc, there was a character named Cyrus Thompson, who used to be a hero, but gave up because he was told he would (IIRC) basically fall apart if he used his powers (superspeed) too much more.

In the arc, he helps out the Freedom Phalanx, and in the end there's that statue to him in front of the Kings Row train station. However, it was until a while after that story (years, in the end) that the Developers put in the in-game statue we have (due to vocal fan support).

Here, read the CoH comics that tell the story:

ftp://ftp.coh.com/comics/topcow/comic_04.pdf
ftp://ftp.coh.com/comics/topcow/comic_05.pdf
ftp://ftp.coh.com/comics/topcow/comic_06.pdf

They were written by our very own Troy Hickman, and as with everything he writes they are very good.

You can also play the Ouroborous flashback arc "Smoke and Mirrors", which is the same story and also was written by Troy Hickman.

This is still by far my favorite arc in the game mostly for the evoking of the comic memory.

Makes sense. That was the issue Ouroboros was introduced, along with the "Smoke and Mirrors" arc from the comic added in game in there.

Ah-ha, thanks Sleestack and Rajani Isa. I recently collected all of those comics in print, but haven't started reading them yet (reading through Marvel's various "Noir" collections right now).
