So, what are ya' doing this Halloween?
Nah last night was the big night. In Kent we have a huge downtown party.
Costumes included Gumby and Pokey(multiple ones), the toys from the Kia commercial(robot, sock monkey, etc),multiple Jack Sparrows from Davey Jones locker,a human keg,the old man and the little fat kid from Up,a huge dragon,a bunch of sluts/bimbo's,and hundreds of others.
Sorta a tradition it usually ends in riots but this year was pretty quiet, tonight will consist of recuperation,CoX, and the Walking Dead show premiering.
Just taking my kids trick or treating. My son is going to be Spider-Man. The two previous years he went as Superman. I'm curious as to how long I can keep him interested in the superheros.
@Joshua.
went to an awesome grownup party last night (costume of the night went to the gal done up like Tippi Hedren circaThe Birds, complete with attacking crows and movie soundtrack accompaniment), tonight is all about trailing around behind my little guy while he trick-or-treats and visits a spooky haunted house kid party.
Should be fun!

My City Was Gone
Same as prior years. I man the door while the wife and son go out T&T. However, at 9pm, I sit down to watch The Walking Dead. My lady will take over door duty at that point.
Be well, people of CoH.
Went to a Halloween Party last night, I'm the Chilean Miner (on the right) and my buddy went as his Facebook Profile
Working, like I do every weekend. Quick, someone bring me candy here!
Goodbye, I guess.

The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.
I went Trick or Eating (along with some of my form-mates and lots of other students) and got caned goods to donate to my univeristy's local food bank. That and we got candy. Food for the soul and food for the stomach.
Froze my feet by sitting outside dressed in a quickie Jason costume handing out candy to the kids/teens for nearly three hours. Now on a sugar high.
Oh a question for all you ladies out there. The weather is forty, forty five degrees and you are wearing wicked witch stocking going up to your rather short witch's skirt. How do you stay warm? Electric corset keeping your core temp up? Several saucy young women wandering my complex sans little kids. Must have been a party somewhere.
Cutest thing, a little tyke, must be three or four, comes up to me and when I offered him candy, he took one from my bowl and gave me one from his bucket. Well a bag of mini nilla wafers. A little too young to grok what's going on.
Mental note, mini bags of Skiddles much more popular than traditional bar candy.

As a Canadian who has ToTied with his parents as a kid, I don't understand why parents would subject their kids to meeting strange people that you don't know and experiencing subzero weather. Moving the date to late August or September sounds reasonable.

Went to a Masquerade Ball hosted by my school on Friday. It was a ton of fun, had a bunch of people compliment me on my costume, and also had more than one girl just randomly come up and hug me while gushing something like "OHMYGOD OPTIMUS PRIME I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
Went with a friend and her family while she took her daughter T&Ting. Was fun, went as Captain Adam *scrambled* of the starship Endeavour.
I'd like go as myself (points to avatar) one of these days if I can get all the materials together.

Beware:NERDS ARE THE WORST FANS!!
opened the night with taking pics of my godson(4) and nephew(1 and 1/2), who'd both been dressed up as Superman before their respective parentals (and a few friends who used the two of them as an excuse...) took them out into the new neighborhood to do some T&T. then it was spending the night with family and friends celebrating Samhain remembering those who've gone on before us. it was a good night.
the costume party & debauchery ends up being delayed until Saturday since most of my friends have jobs that mean they end up working on Halloween (DJs, magicians, Rennies, etc.), so that gets delayed for a week.
I dressed up as Super Woman and handed out candy to the neighborhood kids.
DAAAANG. Very pretty!!
Last night was probably the worst bunch of tot'ers I've seen, in quantity anyway. Same group of 4 kids from up the street - and that was it. FOUR. Kids.
Not even four GROUPS of kids, which we had last year.
So now I'm stuck with candy neither my mom nor myself can eat (snickers... oh how I miss thee, snickers, but you have milk products in you).
I AM DISAPPOINT.

My City Was Gone
Yes, yes ... aside from playing CoH.
I'm actually not doing that much at all this year. In getting an early start in preparing to move back to the U.S. early next year, I've kinda canceled holidays for the remainder of my time abroad. Besides, Halloween still isn't as big a deal here in the U.K., so there really isn't much impetus to go all out. I am about to sit back and watch the 4-hour Nightmare on Elm Street documentary, "Never Sleep Again". That, and start planning out construction of my costume for next year:
