Discussion: What's your Origin?
5 capes and 10 auras. Several of each will be perfect for some of my alts.
$9.99 USD. Same price as the other super boosters, but a bit less variety in what i get.
Close call, but this is another pack that i almost certainly will be purchasing. Mostly for the auras, but a couple of the capes are something i've wanted for certain alts for a long time.
i definitely like this pack more than the last one.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
I dont think you understood me.
I got all the origin packs, + wedding,+ Mac edition. There were some requested pieces for those packs, like Organic armor with skin for mutant pack, that could be added to this Origins booster. Cyborg pack didnt had a costume change emote neither... Those kind of things could be added to this pack so we can have a better boost to our original boosters. |

Unlike the last booster i'm going to get a lot of use out of this pack. I was already planning costumes before i'd finished watching the trailer. Two thumbs up. (b^_^d)
Now @Eskimo-Spy
I'm not evil.
I would pay $10 for this more readily than the Party Pack.
10 Auras and 5 Capes = 15 Costume pieces.
And if I read correctly; there's an option to make Aura's normal or combat specific?!? Is that something that is coming to us because of the pack or independent of it?
[Having these available at lvl 1 is awesome (despite arguments against); being that we're paying $10 for it]
And you can customize them so they will show up on specific parts of the body.

How specific?
Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

I dunno if this answers your question, however it was stated that once this "pack" has been purchased and applied to said account it will be available for your characters from the start.
So yes you will be able to apply these from level 1 in character creation.....

I know from having purchased the "Cyborg" pack that the Auras can be set to either be on all the time or only for combat. It will say so when you choose the aura itself.

Ten bucks is high for something that only contains 5 new capes and 10 new auras compared to the previously Origin Themed packs (where were very much worth $10). You would have thought Marketing would have learned their lesson with the failure of the overpriced Party Pack. Few bought it because it was overpriced. This pack will suffer the same fate.

But why not strive to have those things added to the original boosters? Makes a lot more sense to me.

Now we got a chance if we push this a bit.
It makes perfect sense too,
We got the wolf tail pushin a bit with the mutant pack... Why not with this?

Since Issue 18 (last issue). At the tailor, at the end of each aura's list of various options you'll find all the same choices with the combat mode option.

Just logged in and checked it out... pretty cool.

Can someone open an Ouro portal for me to go buy this pack?

That's not true. Issue 19 and probably 20 include content that do not require Going Rogue.
More tip missions, merged Trains, inspirations in every hospital, 2 free auras, Calvin Scott Task force in oroborous, One brand new story arc for each side, alternate power animations, inherent fitness, the ability to log out to character select, and new badges are ALL FREE. [EDIT] Furthermore, if you continue to make the assertion that issue 19 is nothing more than tacked on additions that they couldn't add to the release because they "rushed it", then that logic also applies to the first 18 issues doing the same thing for heroes and the past 12 for villains. Which is just silly. |
[edit]I'm pretty sure my memory is wrong. :P
I dunno why I thought everything was 20 all of a sudden lol |
...
I wonder if they could add an aura for cape only? Flaming capes, capes with steam billowing out of them might actually look pretty cool. |
It could be rather cool... In my opinion!
Okay... it sounds like her!!
(haha, for the record, it isn't really her)
Very true. It still matters how that critique is presented to be helpful or not or even read by the people who need to read it. There's good and bad ways to express an opinion. So.. I agree with you but I agree with others who have issues with how said comments are given.

I've voiced criticisms, but I try to do so with respect and sound reason (Which I "borrow" from my victims).
Saying things shortly and rudely is never a clever thing to do and rarely helpful, other than to indicate to others that you (such a person) are rude.
and round up everyone that knows more than they do"-Dylan
Well, MOST of the people on the forums were vehemetly against the party pack. It's not horribly illogical to assume that only a small portion of the playerbase bought it... I've seen a handfulll on virtue who have it, but that's about it.
I dunno if that classifies as a "failure" though. If the Devs set the earmark for only a hundred or so purchases, then i'd still think it's safe to assume they met that goal. However, if they assumed over half the playerbase would buy it, then i'd be hard pressed to beleive that they succeded (without seeing their numbers, anyway).
Conversely, this pack has received a slightly warmer welcome so far. Still a good number of peoplel who say they won't get it, but those who say they WILL get it seem a bit more enthusiastic. So i think this pack will do just fine =)
