If you could make a new zone, what would it be?

Besides, In the thirty years of PnP lore in the other game, Atlantis has already been a zone for decades. As the other studio's enviromental artists search through the PnP books for zonal inspiration, in-time it too will be attempted online to sit alongside the other underwater zone.

I like the calls for a Norse-inspired Asgardian type of zone, as i do the calls for space and extra-planetary zones.
Ancient Egypt also has merit I feel should pre-history be attempted.
I think it will take some time for creating Atlantis. We've been saying that from the first year of this game and we never got a respond

BTW I JUST NOTICED. MOTHER'S LOVE? AWWWW ITS PHOENIX YOU REMEMBER ME?

My theory, for the longest time, has been that modern Japan in the City of universe is basically like every anime you've ever seen, plus some brutal deconstructions. (i.e. That cute, six year old magical girl who's just starting out? gets stepped on because a dumb, shonen mecha pilot was being careful while fighting the kaiju of the week.)

Could you tell me where and whom? I hope you don't mean the altered maps of what we have or different versions of Clockworks.

We have Boomtown, Perez, Creys, Shadowshard, Dark Astoria (and you could argue a couple more) that have not been touched in years and are ghost-towns on most nights (most populated EU-server: Union).

One could argue a possible cull, and / or reinvestment and reinvigoration of the content in those zones. The day we stop pushing for exciting enviroments being used to their fullest extent is the start of the apathetic slippery slope imho.
I said nothing of pushing for exciting environments. I am pushing right there with you guys. I just want these in the form of a TF or SF. We have many zones (and I agree...many are not used to their full extent) but when we play, we get into the instances. It'd be nice to hit these places and see things we don't normally see. Have these exciting new places in these TFs etc.

The doors would be swinging panels like in the movies, and every once in a while you'd see some tumbleweed drifting through the landscape. I imagine dual pistols players would frequent the zone often. Maybe you could even have a gun dual in the center of town (even if your toon didn't have dp as a power). Perhaps it could be an ouroboros destination, and the landscape could have a sepia tone to give it that antique feel.

So, if you could create your own zone, what would it be?
I think that would be cool as a mission map for an Ouro arc or something along those lines. Same with the prehistoric, and medieval ones mentioned earlier. A futuristic one would be cool as well.

I'm also all for revamping old zones, but my top 3 list for new zones would be: 1) Moon/Mars base, 2) Earth orbit (space station for example), 3) Underwater base/Atlantis type deal.

Hmmmm I'd rather see the old COH/V zones updated first, then go with new Zones.

I'd like to see a lvl 40-50 zone in Praetoria thats actually outside the sonic barriers. Seeing how the world has been ravaged by DE, and maybe seeing some Human/DE mutations that you'd have to fight.

Then you'd have your Praetorian Hami nearby for a Trial/TF.

Then just for kicks I'd love to see an Ancient Asian type zone kind of like Cimerora, fighting Shogun/Samurais and maybe even some ninjas. Then save the zone from a giant Dragon! YAY!

I think the ghouls/experiments already take up that position.

That's my beef with the game. It is redundant. Why do we need something similar to what we have. Why not go off in a completely new/original tangent?

Just like Praet zones - add as few as possible (I know we are supposedly going to get zones that go to level 50 and I just hope it's maybe 2 more zones). The new zones look great but do we really need another 2+ that are MORE city?? The 3 Prae zones are plenty enough but I will brace myself for more lol.

I'm pretty sure they've never said anything about that at all

Just a thought, but want to see a zone where Metronome killed everyone (as opposed to primal-version clockwork king)

....

Zombie town PLZ

But what I really need are zeroG space maps, perhaps lowG Moon maps, and underwater zones. I know it's a lot of work, so thanks for being such good sports about it. Thanks Devs!

one big zone that surrounds all of the earthly city zones outside the war walls. Let it be fully explorable, let it be very large and let it have random quest spawns so everyone doesn't just keep going to the same locations to do the same thing. so you have to be the hero on patrol, or the villain on the prowl.

did I say make it big, I mean make it really big.

I think Atlas Park should be the number one zone for a complete revamp. It's like sig. zone for the game really. forget the story to it, just revamp it all...

No one goes there anymore, it's too crowded...

An alternative to Mercy Island would be nice, I'd also like a revamp of port Oakes and Cap, add other ways to travel between them besides the ferry, since they are the same Island.

Revamping old zones should be high on the devs' to-do list, whether wholesale (Boomtown) or partial (improving the flow in Atlas Park and Galaxy City as starting zones to compete with Nova Praetoria's). To fill in some of the blank spots on the Paragon City map, a World's Fair-style exposition could be terrific addition to the game's Silver Age/science fiction landscape if it had as many sights of the 1964 New York one.

Mothers_Love's suggestions of maps from Paragon City's past to visit via Ouroboros is excellent, too.

No more-
They revamped TWO zones, and Hollows wasn't one of them. Due to the fact that it had exactly 0% geometry and mapping changes. RWZ and Faultline did, yes. Two zones out of a crapton blueside, a huge number of which are nigh empty.

In fact, y'know what?

Not only that, but from the producer's letter:

We’ve also dramatically improved the art, with some of the best animations, effects, audio, characters, and environments we’ve ever produced; early this year, we’re going to be giving you a pretty “wild” new look, and later this year we’ll turn up the pressure.
Turn up the pressure? Lots of pressure underwater...

...I forgot what experience means.

Well, it could also also be hinting at a frequently requested steampunk booster

I'd like the Atlas globe to revolve, the City Hall to get a second floor so there's actually space for the offices where the city is run from, fountains in the water pools, and the park areas to be landscaped instea dof the current "wild" look, so there'd be more walls and flowerbeds, like in Nova Praetoria.
