FYI, a few days ago I rolled on all of my 88's toon's R-merits, maybe like 200 of them. I had horrendous luck...... I think I only got a 2 recipes worth a darn: an impervium armor: dam and another lesser one I can't recall off-hand. I should have gotten Fulmens to buy my rolls from me instead, in a sort of snake eating its own tail route for that influence to make it onto the burn pile 8-P

The numbers posted are pretty interesting. Looks like the quiet word is out that we are angling for #1. I've been playing this game for more than 78 months and I CAN'T WAIT to say that I'm in a Top 10/Top 5/The NUMBER ONE SG on a server. After that, I'm aiming for NUMBER ONE SG IN THE GAME.

That thread is hilarious. But I'm pretty sure much of the prestige jump he's seeing comes from people who, shall we say, have recently discovered their inner arachnophile. Which actually makes it even more hilarious that he's blaming us for it.

One of the pals I started the game with had an eb/dev blaster named GayCop (with outfit to match) and we always got a kick out of the great NPC dialog it generated.

Purely hypothetically, if there were going to be a SG on virtue that was famous for aggressive recruiting, kicking people off teams for not joining their SG, and so on, I would say that if you managed to anger their leader, it would be a glorious accomplishment.

The 88ers win because people are cheesed off and are spending their own inf on a totally pointless prestige war. Just like us!
The non-88ers win because this project gets a lot of us off the street causing trouble. Knowing where all the ebil market manipulators are and what they are up to has to be beneficial to them. Plus, we are all far too lazy and disorganized to actually, you know, *manipulate* a market as a group.

Okay, I've been on the fence about joining up and burning off my (not-so-)hard-earned inf (because I'm just greedy like that), but reading that other thread just did it for me. If you guys'll have me, I'll create a Virtue toon (or transfer one there from my home server) and funnel as much inf as I can over for destruction.
Like Dumple, I simply cannot wait to see the inevitable march to the top and (much more entertainingly) the accompanying cries of "Dirty rotten exploiters!" from some quarters.

The ripple effect is also very rewarding. It's quite possible that, due to the ripple, the 88s caused EVERYTHING leading up to that epic post.

looks like I'll be turning into a flipper by default, considering all the marketeering I need to do to get the salvage for building our new shinies.
I guess before long, I'll be tossing Inf. into the pit with the rest of you ;p

I've actually begun with that, using one of the Workshops right off the entrance, which I considered 'claiming' as Azure Albedo's 'shop and loft'
(salvage storage and worktables on bottom, apartment on top level)
But yes, the motivation to start marketeering as a sideline is there <.<

Alternately Id be more than happy to send you 100 million but youd have to promise to pay absurd amounts for all salvage purchased.
If you need anything TR give a shout- I'll be buying salvage by the truckload for Crafticus again, it'd be no problem to stock some bins for ya.
Also, I could probably turn stuff into components....doesn't that kind of thing count toward crafting badges? My eventual goal after finishing off Field Crafter it to get ALL the crafting badges.
