Are OCR (and Marketing) missing the marks?

There was another one when the forums were separate - a guy who mostly only posted in the French section - Avatea was a more recent addition, sometime before the forums merged.

In all serious what I actually meant in my tin foil hat post was that now that the pressure is off from DCUO for the moment it means they can relax a bit and marketting will let them get away with a tad more than normal.

Expect everything to become very hush hush once more when DCUO is closer to release next year.

Back when the boards were separate there were at least 3 mods for the EU boards, Bridger followed by Ghost Raptor covered the English boards, Kerensky covered the German boards and another mod covered the French boards, but I'm damned if I can remember his name!

Then they all got laid off and Avatea has covered all three from the US ever since.

So she's doing the work of 3 people and still manages to be very supportive!

Not saying that the marketing people are good, mind, just pointing out that some of them do their best to help and be supportive. Avatea and Mod08 appeared unexpectedly at an in-game wedding the other day, it was lovely.....like they were on some sort of date....hmmmm, now there's some gossip for the boards!!

I must give Avatea higher marks than her American counterparts. Certainly, as Coin explains, she's not had the easiest job with CoH. Not only did she have to take up the slack of her laid-off compatriots, but she also had to move all the way from England to Mountain View to do so. That's some chops right there.

Speaking of lay-offs, je-saits sums up my feelings on the latest hot topic concisely. I understand that TheOcho really can't say much in terms of the leaving of one Christopher Bruce, but obvious Marketing quips are obvious.

we've gotten answers & clarifications on an assortment of productive topics over the last while.

I've never considered factual observation to be cheerleading, but to each their own.

You may consider certain comments to be trash. Fair enough. But that's an opinion, not 'factual observation'. Please try to remember there is a difference

That's not toally required - you can do it in hotpants too - but skirts are the traditional look.

when one opinion is firmly rooted in observable reality and another isn't, the wise man knows which to value.

When the arrogant speak, they listen to no one but themselves

Your observable reality is very different to my observable reality then, clearly.

To be perfectly frank, I'm not sad to see you go. Your doomcrying totted up to look "researched" made you a persistent negative nancy, and didn't do a damn thing to help the game or the community.

We are currently in the tapering phase as I19 winds its way to test.

Hmmm . . . . I'm not seeing the usual uptick in forum traffic that normally occurs after a release. Either they are burning the midnight oil to get something else out by Christmas, or their really has been a policy change on dev posting.

The winter event, probably.
