I got bait-and-switched!

I came in wearing my angry hat, prepared to dance around Moderator12, and instead found myself the angriest man at an ice cream party.

Well played, sir.

Well done.

The likely hood of this to succeeded (if that is the plan with COX2, and IF they are making COX2), based on the shear number of high profile mmos coming out this year, the next, and the next years after, isn't high.

I would shelf any release plans till after Star Wars, and the WoW expansion die down. I think I would wait at least a year, if not more.

I would rather see constant upgrades to this game, than a CoX2 any way.

I think you guys aren't taking into consideration how long it takes to design/create/test a game. If they're JUST NOW filling positions to begin on, say, the "concept" stage of it, I can GUARANTEE you the game won't be available in stores for a good 2 (if not 3 or 4) years...

All of these "CoX 2 haters" are just afraid of playerbase splits or things of that nature. They don't realize that by the time a CoX 2 came out, this game would have to have lasted ANOTHER 4 years. Now, I'm not saying it's impossible, but I AM saying it would be absolutely stupid and short-sighted of any dev to NOT look to the future of their franchise at this point.

If they bring back Jack and the rest of his Cryptic chums CoH2 could be in the shops by Christmas 2011

Mr. Legree, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry...

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

And suck as much as the other MMOs Cryptic has rushed out the door.

You know they actually acknowledged that they sucked in a recent interview when they were talking about their new Neverwinter game.

There's exactly zero chance that Paragon Studios' new project could possibly release in the next year. I would be surprised if they were talking about beta testing in 2012, actually.

Honestly, I wouldn't care if all my characters got wiped if it meant a brand new, updated version of City of Heroes. That would be the perfect time to start fresh anyway.

Well, I'll agree that bad voice acting is really bad and can detract from the game even if it's good.

Unfortunately can't point to specific examples...but I can sat that I think Seth Green, Tricia Helfer, Michael Dorn and Adam Baldwin are all awesome voice actors.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

And lemme guess, super-win graphics...

But using the NWN 1 sounds.

And I assume the new module maker will require about 5 programming degrees to use.

And you can dual wield longbows? (This space was originally a 5 expansions joke. But then I remembered how many the original had)

Yeah, Jack Emmert told the interviewer that Star Trek Online sucked. I found it hilarious.

A better Idea would be to have CoH2 allow you to have a active coh account, but not vica versa. That way, old players can still go back and play characters of yesteryear, but also entice players to play in the new world. Maybe have it like an extra $5.00 a month or something.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

Same here. And the idea of a CoX2 to seek out a new playerbase? What the heck? We ARE the playerbase...many of us old and many of us new.

Yeah, arrogance eventually leads to you eating a large helping of shut-up-because-you-look-stupid pie.

I find it hilarious that he has written off both games (CO and STO) as mistakes, like they occurred years ago, and not just in the last year. (CO's first year anniversary is in 4 days ;P)

If there will be a COH2 version that is completely seperate.. they will split up the COH players in two... as many will never stop playing the old version. Splitting up the player base is not a good idea. The merging we have now of COH and COV is proof that the devs see that problem too.

I would say evolve the game ... not start over and have COH and COH2 next to each other. I see that going wrong in many ways. People still play the 2 D Ultima Online as they dont want to abandon their old toons... do we want that effect on this game?
