I like how good and evil blur in GR (mild spoiler)
I think my favorite part so far is going Loyalist / Resistance and secretly working for the other side. It reminds me a lot of the plot of Equilibrium.
I wanted to stay in this thread and then Golden Girl started spewing out spoilers like a smashed fire hydrant. Slowly backing away...
Edit: To clarify, I'm calling you out specifically, GG, because the OP said "Mild Spoiler" before stating the premise of the game. You were the one that literally posted a list of the plot twists in Going Rogue.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
Some spoilers, nothing specific except location badge stuff, but still:
*SPOILERS*
In the game, the Wardens are clearly the people who will help maintain order and restablish civilian government. They have people all over the place, from government, to clockwork programming.
The Crusaders get the most press because they are the scary ones and the one's PC's seem to wade into the most. There is a Warden arc devoted solely to upending one of the Crusader's most ridiculous schemes. However, once you get away from Nova, the Crusader, Freakshow side (with a singular exception: Hatchet) gives away to the "screwed over by the government" foes. They are extreme, but their stories are extreme. I totally screwed them over. It didn't feel good, but it was amusing reading Marchand freak out about what the resistance AND the Praetors had been doing behind his back.
As for how bad things are, I got the "Knows the Truth" badge after wandering around the undergound in Nova being lost. I got the badge after finding the area where the PPD routinely brings large numbers of people for mass slaughter. I'm paraphrasing, but that's what the location description said. Of course I think the abandoned morgue under the Nova hospital is worse there are still corpses there.
There are certain things about Praetoria that are only open to interpretation if you completely ignore certain mission lines or haven't been exploring. Praetoria is messed up and yes, the Wardens, Longbow, and Dark Watcher and Friends will make it better, unless Longbow, Arachnos, and Malta make it worse in the process. (Yes, I meant to put longbow twice.)
However I still went loyalist at the beginning because I would rather work with Marchand to mitigate Crusader stupidity. Plus I got a badge for switching sides five times. After that I've kind of lost count after I turned off XP a few times so I could keep getting missions in Nova and Imp City. The only way to be truly "good" is to go back and forth and judge who deserves to be gaffled the most.

You seem to have a rather fuzzy idea of what exactly a spoiler is

I'd ask you to edit it, but it's already been quoted, so it wouldn't do much good.
None of those are plot twists or spoliers - they're all blindlingly obvious

"Blindingly obvious", you see, is relative and subjective.
Even with all of the more blatant trolling going on in this thread, I must agree. And within three posts of the OP too :/

Plenty of spoilers in that list...things i didn't know about yet in the story, is the definition I'm using by the way, GG.

You also confirmed a common theory that was not yet public knowledge. So yes, you did rip open something that I didn't know at all. Which is screen punchingly annoying, too, as I've been avoiding spoilers and playing as Responsibility Loyalist specifically to reach these revelations the same time as my character did. I understand that such a goal was my own and I couldn't ask the world to stop talking while I played, but to have all of it thrown out like this is more than a little frustrating.
C'mon, double G's. Don't you want everyone else to experience the game with the same wonder that you did when you got into Beta?
At this point if people don't want the game spoiled, forum ignore is a viable option if it weren't for those who quote

For heaven's sake, put "Spoiler Warning" in a thread and you can post whether Snape is good, who shot J.R., the identity of the Smoke Monster, and why Count Olaf hates the Baudelaire orphans for all I care.
To do so without a warning is crass.
I think the classy thing to do would be standard spoiler warnings. As I said before, the OP said "minor spoilers" and listed the first twist. GG gave no warning. That's why I'm upset.

Even worse, to do it with the intent of "winning" an internet argument.

I won't repeat it here for the sake of people that skip to the end of the thread, but at least one thing you said I didn't even remotely expect... probably because there's no indication of it anywhere.

That's not what Tyrant's doing - he's trying to make humans behave like robots - he's decided that humans can't be allowed to be humans and make the mistakes that are part of human nature - so he's stripped them of their humanity, and reduced them to the level of drugged zombies who don't even have the most basic human rights like freedom of speech and freedom of thought.

total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
Ya know, I spend all my time lurking on these boards never really posting mostly just observing and taking in the news. But now, I find I need to contribute a bit to the topic at hand. No, not Going Rogue and its morally grey content or thought provoking material, but rather a poster. Golden Girl, I find her(his? probably her) ways strange and cruel and I believe I finally figured her(him?) out.
See, I have a theory here, a theory that reads that the obtuse facade that Golden Girl puts up is just that; a facade, an illusion that beguiles her true face. This illusion serves to ensure her victory in discussions such as this by blindsiding everyone else with nonsensical single sentences. Pathetic one liners and nauseating faces that serve to both pad her post count and infuriate the opposition.
It's not that she can't form a concise argument, no I believe she is perfectly capable of that; rather it's that she's afraid to. Her fragile and precious ego must not be broken and if somehow anyone were to prove her 'wrong' or have the audacity to express and opinion different than her own then that carfeully built world filled with self rightousness and white knight justice would be broken.
So, what to do to prove how Golden Girl is right and you're wrong? Simple: Drop any semblence of civilized discussion, resort to childish slurs and namecalling along the likes of 'facist' and 'stormtrooper,' throw in some of those lovely winky oneliners that dodge the question and repeat what's already been annoyingly established, and to top it all off do it with this cheery innocent childlike tone.
The result? Victory, at least to her. Those that recognize the kraken attacking their beloved ship will likely abandon it in a desperate attempt to swim to safety. The rest are stubborn, they will continue to fight and attack it with their scabbards and paddles, engaging in a sad back and forth seemingly endless tirade of shame and nonsense that spirals into a whirlpool, a dark cold pit where ambitions and dreams go to die.
Of course they manage to escape this dark abyss under the realization that there is no reasoning with the mighty Golden Kraken and desparetly flee for their lives with thier sanity (hopefully) entact. Untill all that remains is the Golden Kraken alone and unoppsoed and that obviously translates to victory.
So here we are; everyone has been chased away, the world is safe from the evils of opinions not her own, and the moral fiber of the world is safe and sound and colored in Gold. Of course I have no idea how she justifies her actions and the notions that she's right and we're wrong and how we should all just shut up and get behind her. Insane Troll Logic probably

Why MA ratings should be changed from stars to "like" or "dislike"
A better algorithm for ordering MA arcs
I am reminded of the July 4th scene in "The Great Escape" in which the 3 Americans are celebrating with vodka they have distilled themselves. The English all join in. The English CO takes a sip of the homemade spirits and asks the party's hosts, "So... how are you all getting along over there now?" It was a charming moment.
To invoke John Cleese, the relationship got better.
As for myself, I have a strong affinity for "the Special Relationship." On 9/11, the British band that usually played "God Save the Queen" near the US Embassy played the Star-Spangled Banner, which was greatly appreciated.
Good on the Brits.
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
To be somewhat more on topic, it's important when playing through GR to maintain separation between what you as a player know about Praetoria and what your character could be expected to know about Praetoria. From the perspective of a Praetorian citizen, Marcus Cole is the savior of humankind (from a real and present threat that many Praetorians experienced directly). Praetoria is one of the last bastions of civilization in the middle of a horrific wilderness. Under these conditions, the Praetorian laws are strict, but not inconceivably so - compare with measures such as food rationing, conscription, communication surveillance, and censorship of news in wartime. Note that I am not endorsing any of the above, but I am pointing out that citizens of a democracy have accepted such measures before. This is a historical fact, and it is relevant.
Yes, I have read the Praetorian Atrocity List. However, I emphasize once again: the average Praetorian knows none of this. If you sign up for the Resistance, even the Warden path, your first step in this direction is to kill, or at least beat into unconsciousness, two police officers who are in the middle of arresting a terrorist. Then you talk to the leader of a group who you have been repeatedly (and accurately!) told are actively tearing down the fragile foundations of your refuge against savagery.
How this can be construed as the obviously heroic thing to do is a little beyond my reckoning. But then again, maybe some people just don't know how to put themselves in other people's shoes, and instead act on what they, the player, know, and not what their character would know.

The heroic path is simple (some spoilers, but keeping it purposely vague):
1. Follow the laws, arrest the terrorist in the tutorial.
2. Work for the chief investigator and put criminals (syndicate) behind bars.
3. Stop the resistance from bombing a hospital.
4. Reluctantly execute a resistance spy whose connections would enable her to escape the justice system and continue spying.
5. Stop a serial killer in imperial city, find some hints that the Seer program isn't completely on the level, but no definite proof.
6. Stop rogue clockwork from killing people.
7. Take down the Praetorian equivalent of the mafia.
8. Help people that Neuron has been neglecting.
9. Stop seers from being used as psychic bombs to kill many people.
10. Realize that a certain praetor is completely nuts and choose to let the one person keeping her in check go free. (THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOU SWITCH SIDES)
11. Investigate why strange people in funny costumes are breaking into labs.
12. Stop even stranger people in different costumes from setting off bombs around the city.
13. Meet DW (no, not Darkwing). Figure out that not all of the weird costumed people are the enemy, and let them know that not all Praetorians are.
14. Stop plot to destroy Neutropolis, defying Tyrant's orders in order to do so.
15. Take Kang's advice and get the word out about what Tyrant is planning. (this technically switches you to Resistance, but there are no more missions anyway, so you never have to work with them...)
16. Portal to Paragon. Find a tailor and some spandex.
Obviously the heroic path. It's as simple as that. I'll even throw in a GG to fuel the fire
My heroic character hasn't found the warden path because he hasn't had any reason to join up with the resistance who he sees doing all sorts of evil things.
