Actually I wouldn't mind if they had the run without the ninja.. Or I would like if when you stop running you stood up straight, or the option to choose so.. I find it a bit silly to have many just standing around in ninja pose ( looks more like count dracula without the cape )

Ninja Run with Inertia Reduction is a blast! I fire it off and tell anyone locally if they have Ninja Run, try it now with Inertia Reduction. Crazy people jumping all over the place. It's magic!

My only complaint, really, is that a LOT of outfits and hair and such clip badly with Ninja Run.

What bugs me about it is that people buy it and use it because it gives them a pseudo-travel power at level 1, and so you get the same thing everywhere. It's the only such power you can get hold of, so it's going to be ridiculously common. I guess the solution is maybe to make a few more in other booster packs so we start to see some variety. Unfortunately if you take it too far, you end up with everyone having a travel power at level 1.

I'm not sure if that's bad or not, but it's certainly not in the CoH tradition - except for epics of course.

Nitpick: level 4.

Just tossing this out there...

The Prestige Power Slide animation will override the Ninja Run animation.

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

I use power slide and NR on a lot of characters, pretty awesome combo.

Also, NR looks great on DB and shield characters as well.

....That's freaking awesome! Thanks, now I have a way to use that power without thinking my character is about to give himself a back injury.

Is there a way to get Power Slide besides that special edition pack? and how much does that costs?

Vet Reward... wait, Power Slide isn't included in that. Now I need to check to see if Power Dash, Rush, and whatever else that is included works...

I do not know. Would be nice to have it for my second account.

The other prestige sprints use the regular sprint animation with various visual effects. You'll most likely still be in the Ninja Run animation with visual effects added. Using the other prestige sprints that is.

I only have a couple of characters that use Power Slide instead of Sprint. That because of thematic reasons. I'm really liking power color customization. Because I have an Electric/Shield Scrapper with power colors that match Prestige Power Slide's non-customizable color.

And a special pack back in the day like the boosters. But it was a bit different if you bought it you go shipped a box with all the extra goodies and the code to add to your account. it was $20. That is how I got it. You can't get it anymore though. Best way to get it is search the internet for the Collectors edition of CoH. They are insanely cheap. But it is also a vet reward so I almost wouldn't bother about it and just pay and play then you will get it fairly soon.

It's been said but I'll say it again Prestige Power "Slide" is not a vet reward. You get other versions of sprint with the sparkles and such. Same running animation though. Only that one way to get the "slide". Which I would love. By buddy has it and he knows the fact that I can't buy it bugs the heck out of me. Heh heh.

Hmm sorry I thought it was one of the ones that was. Well good luck getting it. It is okay but meh I am just to lazy to use it. Plus it makes you feel like your moving slower. Sprint has the advantage of tricking your mind into thinking your toon is moving faster.

It's not a vet reward. Should never be one since people paid for it(like me). Same for CoV Collector's Arachnos logo and cape.

CoH Collector's Edition is rarely cheap. Unless you can find it in a bargain bin at BigLots!, it'll be above $50, more commonly around $80, and occasionally above $100.

Different tanget, shouldn't a Ninja running be stealthy? I know the power is unslottable to make people have to deal with the end issues to get the benefits, but I sure would love to slot a stealth IO in there. As a compromise can it at least be as stealthy as superspeed?

Ah, no? Personally, I don't like Ninja Run. At all. Powers that come with booster packs should be novelties, nothing more. Especially nothing that gives anyone an edge over someone who didn't shell out the extra cash.

I'm torn on the advantage-for-spending-money thing. Some of the enhancements give stuff I'm not using much (self destruct), others give stuff that's pretty much a gigantic advantage.

I think the intent is that they're optional, but useful. Yes, that is a sinister scheme to get money from us. I think, though, that the extra benefit is something people can live okay without, so it's not as bad as it might be. It's not as though people are saying "LFM ITF, must have Ninja Run."

I have seen it at big lots all the time. For $2-5. What about that doesn't see WoW.

No incentive to purchase then. I respect your opinion. I just disagree with it.

They want my money I want something better than a fluffy outfit. It's not like it gives me a I Win button. It just allows me to travel faster sooner. That is all. I don't see the problem with letting people get a good power like this for a cost.

Also if folks want to argue it's not fair they can skip a travel power...you can buy a jet pack...and still skip a travel power.

Actually, while I understood not allowing NR to stack with SS/SJ make since to me, I never understood why it couldn't stack with CJ, and really think it should.

After all, CJ stacks with Super Speed.

NR not stacking with CJ is the only thing that I hate about it. As I love to keep NR toggled on my Scrapper while fighting, because jumping about, doing backflips while fighting is just FUN! And I'd like to beable to use my CJ for added defense while I do so!

That said, I learn to live with it, much like not being able to use Hover on my Fire/Earth Dominator since Hover stops me from using some of the powers. :/

But CJ doesn't stack with Super Jump either. One jump power, one run power. Super jump and super speed stack too don't they?

I believe they do, but SJ doesn't increase Run Speed, and SS doesn't increase jump height, but NJ does both.
