What bugs me about it is that people buy it and use it because it gives them a pseudo-travel power at level 1, and so you get the same thing everywhere. It's the only such power you can get hold of, so it's going to be ridiculously common. I guess the solution is maybe to make a few more in other booster packs so we start to see some variety. Unfortunately if you take it too far, you end up with everyone having a travel power at level 1.

I'm not sure if that's bad or not, but it's certainly not in the CoH tradition - except for epics of course.

I'm only at level 15, but I've taken out a couple of Elite Bosses solo without any particular difficulty - a few insps to help things along. I'm hoping I can carry on doing that after specialisation...

What makes me excited about the VEATs from what we've seen is that it's a combination of powers we've not seen before. Sure, most of them are from existing player power sets, or from NPC power sets (but those Crab Spiders have always looked really really cool), but we're getting combinations of things we've not had before. These EATs seem to me to be variants on the idea of the blapper, and having a blapper AT on the villain side... that's good, that is. NPCs have always had the advantage over us of having both ranged and melee attacks. Kheldians do that too (although I tend to spend all my time in squid form - that's the real failing with Kheldians, you get all those powers and then you hardly use most of them) but this looks like a chance to do some serious blapping.

I for one am very interested.
