I guess i had better advertise my SG then.
Im a member of the Monkehs supergroup. Its not only a community on city of heroes, but a multigaming community with over 500 members. We also use a voice service, a Ventrillo server. Not sure on the exact number of users on it, but ive never not been able to access it.
In game we are a bunch of freedom fighting superheroes (Well, apart from Kayos, he tries to kill us all as we sleep 
), and Monkehs was one of the first SG's made on defiant...which wasnt hard, as the game was only released a few weeks ago :P
Good thing about using a voice server, is that we now know eachother out of game. Im from coventry, in the middle of the UK, and yet i regularly talk to people from places all over the UK, such as london + wales, and people abroad. When using a voice server you get to know eachother a lot better, and are more aware of eachothers playstyles.
Err, anyway.
Im Kaze Locke, a level 41 (At the moment...) mutation Ice/Ice blaster. Im a founder member of the Monkehs supergroup, and an oldskool Monkehs.com member (Apparantly.), and the atmosphere in the community is fantastic...until Jamus forgets to heal me and i die, of which i yell abuse at him (All in good natured play :P) and then procede to realise i already have 150k debt, what does it matter? :P
We just like having fun. Level range is 1 to 43, and there is always someone online to team with. Most of us have alts in the SG aswell, so we can team with the low level characters if they cant get into the high level area's yet.
We dont powerlevel new characters by the way, as you miss out of so much of the game. We will however be happy to sidekick you up if you dont have anyone to group with.

Everyone's welcome to join, but you have to do a testing run with a couple of the more senior members so that we make sure that you're not a muppet! heh (Mind you, we've not turned away one person yet.)
SG colours are the classy British Racing Green and white combination.
We have voice comms, provided by a matey called "The Blue Atom", who's currently on the US servers. But as soon as character transfer comes through, hopefully everyone from The Luminous Path shall be headed over to join The Awfully Nice Chaps. Our voice comms are primarily for PvP once it's available and will be testing stuff like that.

Legion of the Damned is a demonic/mystical themed supergroup currently active on defiant. I was lucky enough to have one of my characters invited (G'aia) and I can recommend the group as a really good, supportive community to game within.

We are a small group (by small i mean small )
But a "fun" criteria is that we wanna have some swedes in our SG(since we are so ourselfs 
), we are currently 4 ppl with chars from lvl 10-32. Always try and have as much fun as possible and to explore what the next lvl will give to the character 
. We use ventrilo qite often(as long as the router feel well) and thats why it's nice if you know swedish, but of course we don't discriminate anyone.
Anyone can join regardless of language or lvl.
But a must is that u have some sense and good/fun attitude

We are Legends of Old. A group of gamers that are 25+ years old. I know that may sound ageist etc and we really have nothing against younger gamers but we are part of TOG (The Older Gamers), and it is their criteria we are following, sorry.
Anyway, an active up and coming Super Group, with regular team events, and where members look after each other, so differing levels does not mean you can't be part of the team fun.
TOG is a worldwide community of nearly 4000 members (yes 4000!) that play pretty much most multi player/mmorpg games. Therefore, whatever you play, the chances are that there is a group ready and waiting for you to join.

Well, I might as well have my say, as well, then...
I'm runnning a medium-sized SG called The Dark Defenders, and we're always open to recruits, regardles of AT and level. We've got memebers ranging from 1 to 38. We've got people that are on literally every day, and some who can only play a few times per week.
As our name suggests, however, we aren't sacred heroes. We aren't bright heroes. We're not demons either, though, or villain-wannabes. We are simply heroes who doesn't fight due to some feeling of responsibility, or a belief in truth, justice, and brotherhood. We are driven to fight... driven by a dark past, or an even darker future. Driven by lust for vengeance, or lust for blood.
The greatest challenge is to fight the darkness from within.
To get back to the important information, though, we're not an RP SG, but we do encourage a good english on the SG channel. No leet-speek, and as little txt-spk as possible. Other than that, it's all about having someone you can ask for help when you need it, someone you can call on when you need another partner for that TF, or just some help for that toughie mission...
All interested parties are welcome to join, since it is my experience that those who do not fit in usually leave of their own accord fairly quickly...

Yes Legion of the Damned is a great group.. it consists only of demon like costumes.. (when u get 2nd costume etc... feel free to make whatever u like.. one costume only needs to be demonic)

We are looking to increase our SG roster with new members of all levels, archetypes and origins, we have members ready and willing to lend a hand.
We are currently working on a website which is located at coh.robsroost.co.uk at time of writing it's currently a work in progress. You can view a list of members on the site. if you are interested in joining give me a Tell in game, i mainly play as The Grid but can be seen regularly as one of my alts. If i am offline pls contact krom or native-flame who i co-run the SG with.
We have a small SG known as the Indefatigables, which was started by three of us who had played Asheron's Call together for 4 years, and moved to CoH together. We now have five members, with characters of various levels up to level 34 so far.
The big deal for us is the use of voice comms via Teamspeak (huge thanks to the Monkehs for setting us up with this), and I can tell you this makes a great difference to teamwork. We currently have 3 seperate sub channels for 3 different teams, plus a general chat channel. We are online most days, and have a liking for missions and story arcs.
If you're interested, look for me in game as Camp David or Dark Fury, or contact Dr Lugubrious or Jem-El, and we'll see what we can do.
Zero Meridian has been a Supergroup on the US servers since the launch last April. We are now opening a new branch of the SG on Defiant server and are looking to recruit new members.
The SG is very focussed on providng help and support to our members, whether that be in getting teams together for missions and task forces or just advice on what powers are good for your character. Between us we've pretty much tried everything there is in the game so theres a lot of experience to draw on

We have a web page (nothing new I know) at http://www.theforgottenwarriors.co.uk and a forum. Some of the mebers include Miss Chief and Darkest Knight (my characters), Midnight Cat, Mokira, Silence, DarkGreenBlade, Winged Wraith, Tox, Canary/Canarie/Canari (for his sins he's a Norwich fan, poor guy), Buff Love and many others!! We're always on the lookout for more members, any level as we all have about 3-5 alts on the go for all sorts of missions, so if a lower level member asks for help we can either exemplar or log in with an Alt. All origins are in the SG, along with all Archetypes, but this does not mean that no one archetype is not welcome!

We arent a power leveling Super Group, but we do have a rast range of levels, who all love doing missions and are willign to help out the lower levels
We have quite a few on our books currently, but we have a fair few which are '2nd characters' for other members, eg: Crushinator * XII are both mine - we have 'Cheesy Healer - Cheesy Tanker & Cheesy Love'. So it would be nice ot get some fresh faces

Helping Hands is a defender only Supergroup
We currently have 26 members ranging from level 4 through to level 33. We are always more than willing to welcome new defenders into the Supergroup and also to find defenders for teams who need then - emphasis there on the word defenders (if folk want a healer then they need to be specific).

Well seeing as Union Forum has a Sticky for recruitment, how about us lot here on Defiant?
Would be Jolly nice If we had a sticky so as all new player can see the SG's that are recruiting on these boards without having to trawl through half the board
So let me start it off.
Insanity Corp was the first Super Group created on the Defiant Server and it is my intention to make it one of the best.
So Insanity Corp have thrown open the doors to their secret underground lair (Lost Ninja's Basement) and are welcoming new members into the ranks.
We are a group of hero's that enjoy hunting and missioning together with fun being the main objective. It is a social Group and with that in mind we also have a dedicated 40 man Dedicated server that has no Codec/bandwidth restrictions so makes it nice and clear
We are NOT a Power levelling service. We believe that the journey is more important than the destination and will not actively power level players. Having said that we do help each other and also group hunt at all levels so there are plenty of oppotunites for advancement.
