The Awfully Nice Chaps, or TANC as we old chaps like to call it is opening it's, oh so exclusive doors (what doors some may ask),for new recruits.
We have lots of good and long time players currently in our ranks so getting help or your questions answered shouldnt be a problem. Most of us tend to be a bit more mature players, but there are no reason why we shouldn't have younger chaps also.
There are no rules here that you are required to follow. If you are a lonely wolf who likes to solo most of the time or a team oriented social freak you can surely find your place in here. Well erm... we may not have rules here, but the general guideline seems to be that "Be nice (well I tend to put the emphasis on the Awfull) and tolerant towards others and tell stupid jokes"

So, I'm looking for people to join me in the fight to save our great city Levels 10 - 15, any AT.
All I ask is that you are an active player (i.e on at least once a week), that you play to have fun and don't act like a noob. If possible, I would like your character description to mention that you live in Paragon city, to fit with the idea of the SG (although it's not important if you already have an idea for your description).

Greetings friends,
The Astrum Rangers Supergroup is now going to actively pursue the recruitment of more rangers to join in the fight against crime.
We are a very active group, with some level 50 heroes and many lower level heroes and alts.
All we ask before you join is that you are willing to team with us and have a good sense of humour.
We try not to take things to seriously, though we have a few level 50's we are certainly not elitist. We are accepting heroes of any level, as we are always willing to help no matter what level you are. We also have our own website here and we have a teamspeak server for use by anyone in the SG.
The way it works here in the Astrum Rangers, is that you will be invited by one of our Preceptors, or one of our Champions. They will be responsible for you primarily, any help or advice you need, they will be the first there to help. Many of us have played since the beginning of the EU Beta test, so we like to think we know enough to educate newer players now. Obviously this will apply less to any more experienced heroes as they will not need as much help as some who may have just begun their journey.

The idea behind it is regular teaming with other people, so anyone can join but the group will function primarily between 7 and 8 pm (give or take ten minutes) on a week day and 10 until 3 on a Friday night (give or take an hour).
It will be perfect for those who:
- Have an alt that they want to develop but want to spend more time on their mains
- Have a limited time that they can play due to out of game commitments
- Want a serious blast through some mission with a dedicated team for an hour
- Want to regularly get the opportunity to do Task Forces. Friday Night Sessions player level dependant
- Believe in sharing enhancements with those in the group who may be able to better use them
- Want to laugh, mess around and be silly but get missions done fast
- Want a group that understand that sometimes you just cant be online and wont kick you for not showing up
- Dont feel the need to rush off for 10 minutes as soon as they level up but will wait until the end of play to do so.
- Enjoying teaming for the heck of it without moaning that they have to do their mission, it will be done
- Work through the game with a group of people playing with them regularly
The criterion is simple. You have to have a character of at least level 5 and want to get stuff done, any origin any archetype
Colours are black and a blue tinted grey to reflect the business like approach, the logo is the scales to represent balance or in game and out of game life.
Ranks will be: PDP Doulos (level 11)

The Scourge of the Hollows (as the name may suggest) is a low-level training SG, or Academy as other SG's have called theirs operating principly in Atlas and The Hollows. Our aim is to resurrect the community aspect of CoH by encouraging and rewarding newer players who we feel deserve a spot in Paragon's most famous SG. Ok second most......third?
Door's are open for any character from lvl 1 to 14. Graduation occurs when you choose your travel power and may involve a final exam (Positron TF). Graduating students may find themselves inducted into the full Scourge, just to warn you ahead of time, so if you don't like beer and bad movies (we're talking Howard the Duck bad)......
Power-Levellers are banned. Entry requires that you get involved, and at least try to make me laugh (which explains why several lvl 2's didn't get in last night)

Why three? We've found that we would have filled up quite quickly if we kept to one SG! So we spread our members out by level into different SGs, but they are all in coalition so it's easy to stay in touch and when you outlevel the cap in one SG you move up to the next automatically.
A little about us: We're a long established, rapidly growing family that takes pride in it's members enjoying themselves and having fun. We have alot of active players across most of the level range and regularly run TFs/Trials/Respec teams as well as other more 'out there' events

More accurately, we started out as a small group of mutant characters, who teamed through a couple of taskfroces & kicked 'em in grand style with no debt
