Just your run of the mill supergroup out to make finding team members easier. We're currently still small. But if you want in try to find either Nismorack or Atomic Flare.
A few important notes: Try to use normal language, be nice and helpfull, nobody wants mission quiters, nobody wants wipers either, nothing wrong with asking questions but please RTFM before asking, there's a big difference between being silly (which is ok) and being stupid (which is not ok).
These notes may seem a bit harsh (and admittedly they are a bit) but we don't force attendance and what not. And the notes are mainly to maintain our sanity (yours and mine).

What's On - Defiant (Updated 14 October)
TANC is opening its doors once more...
The Awfully Nice Chaps (or for ye villains who be looking at the wrong forum... damn your eyes... The Astoundingly Nasty Cads) are opening to invites once more! We've been closed to new applicants for a while now, but with the influx of our US counterparts (The Luminous Path SG), we've decided to open up again!
We do trial new members, and we hope to make it extraordinarily nerve-wracking and put new recruits through a fresh kind of hell, but it never works out like that. On account of we're a tad too laid back.
We are a fairly mature SG (well... sort of), and have fairly close contact with all our Coalition partners (please devs, let us coalition with more!) - TANC have been involved with Defiant since the UK beta. Our membership is large, and we look for active heroes (or villains) who don't mind (and who can contribute to) the SG/Coalition banter which is fairly non-stop at peak heroing times.
So, what are TANC's rules? Well... they're more guidelines really, but they basically run along the lines of
1) Chill, chaps.
2) Do you fancy a cuppa?
3) Grand, make me one while you're at it. With a custard cream biscuit, that'd be fantastic, ta.
Oh, and the other one is we try to stay out of anything remotely politic-looking; we take a fence-perching attitude to most things. That way we hope to remain Awfully Nice, long into the 1990's. Ahem.
So, what to do if you're interested (or wish to insult us most mightily for spamming the forums)? Well, we're mostly forumites - you may have noticed myself, WarEngine_One, hoplite, Laustin d'Woods, Dimension and co haunting the forums. Send any of us a PM and you'll get either fobbed off with excuses or passed onto the right person! Then we'll arrange you a trial or somesuch and see where it goes!

The Paravengers are a new Defiant based SG, we are aimed at patrolling and missions. Nothing too serious just looking to have some fun dealing out justice in a big group. And getting cool stuff like a base should be fun :-).

Much has changed since I last made one of theswe posts, so it was "suggested" that I make a new one at some point.
The Astrum Rangers Supergroup is now going to actively pursue the recruitment of more rangers to join in the fight against crime.
We are a very active group, with quite a few level 50 heroes and many lower level heroes and alts.
All we ask before you join is that you are willing to team with us and have a good sense of humour.
We try not to take things too seriously, though we have a few level 50's we are certainly not elitist. We are accepting heroes of any level and any length of time inn the game, as we are always willing to help no matter what level you are. We also have a brand new website recently updated by Hema; we have a teamspeak server, and now a spiffing, fully functional and growing new base for use by anyone in the SG.
The way it works here in the Astrum Rangers, is that you will be invited by one of our Preceptors, or one of our Champions. They will be responsible for you primarily, any help or advice you need, they will be the first there to help. Many of us have played since the beginning of the EU Beta test, so we like to think we know enough to help newer players now. Obviously this will apply less to any more experienced heroes as they will not need as much help as some who may have just begun their journey.
Our current Preceptors are:
Blackguard (currently playing as Aberration, Mind Forge, SOlon or Revolutionist)
Darkflight (Currently playing as Drogoth)
Energon (Currently playing as Hakon, Gomex or Random Hero)

Joining the Astrum Rangers is easy. All you have to do is make a post Here and you will be contacted by one of the Preceptors or Champions and invited to the SG. All you have to do is say hello, leave your name, AT and level and anything else you care to write, you can say as much, or as little as you like.
Once invited you will be given the rank of Trialee, which means we will team with you for a month before upgrading your rank to Ranger and giving you access to all of the forums. The trial period is just a precaution and you are most likely to be given Ranger status at the end of that month.
Alternatively send any of the aforementioned Leaders a tell in game and im sure theyll be happy to invite you to the SG.

Name: New Dawn Patrol
Purpose: Defiant's newest (and apparently only) dedicated RP supergroup.
Background: With Dawn Patrol in ruins after the Rikti invasion, the number of tasks that the group are able to undertake has been seriously reduced. The governments answer? New Dawn Patrol. A gathering of young heroes, dropouts and missfits, New Dawn Patrol are a group with a lot to proove. Working with the task of keeping Paragon City safe while the main Dawn Patrol rebuilds and deals with global threats, the team stuggles equally with internal conflicts. But make no mistake, New Dawn Patrol are dedicated to the fight for justice!
Currently have about 4-5 members, we welcome any RPer who would like to join up.

Looking for the right SuperGroup to join?
Well, The Ultimate Inferno is looking for new active members. We were founded on the 26th of October 2005 but are still missing a few active players, especially in the level 40 range, but all levels are welcome to try us out and see if we can offer you a fun experience playing CoH.
There are currently 45 members ranging from lvl5 to 46.
We currently hold SG activity evenings every wednesday starting at 8pm GMT, but i am trying to start 1 on tuesdays at the same time and 1 on the weekends--primarily consisting of various badge oriented missions or badge hunting in general or just giving us a chance to team together on a regular basis to have some fun.
Interested in hearing more? I'm usually on most days or send a broadcast out to members of The Ultimate Inferno. Or as mentioned we're around tuesday and wednesday evenings.

The Terrortheun guild of Light is welcoming new mystics.
only just formed today, it's single member is making his Debut as a leader. The base is small (heck, it's only one room, and even thats small) but decorated in an arcane fashion which is in this year.
until the ground rules are set, the SG will allow the first five people to arrive to become Users of light (2nd from top) the next ten will be Paladins (next one down) the next 15 will be mages (next one down) and the rest will be gaurds (bottom rank).
during your course as a Light gaurdian, you will promoted to the next rank by gaining 20000 prestige or reaching lvl 40.
Arena events will be organised by the Keeper of the blade (top rank) and the users of light. events may include PVP rumbles and raids (heh, if we were raided right now, we'd be wiped in seconds)but these events wont be established yet
if you're ofline for 45 days... we'll wait longer. another 45 days later and still not online, we'll assume that you're gone for good and kick you from the SG.

ok, I scrapped thamy last SG when everyone quit and I couldn't pay the base rent, it was going downhill from day one, so the Paladins of Paragon will be its replacement
just like anyother SG its basically "join and earn prestige" but I'm adding some relief and I'm not going to pressure you to do it, you can do it in your own time but I would ask you to do it once in a while
our promotion system is a little different to other SGs though, you have a choice, you can:
A) choose to get to the next 10,000 prestige marker (eg, if you have over 10,000 prestige already, you'll have to get to 20,000)
B) go to the arena and beat any member who is a rank or more higher than you. This proves yourself by being able to sucsessfully take on another SG member
Raids and other events will be organised if the majority of the SG is availible and up to it, not when one person feels like it and causes us to die
the base is going to be a magic based one but all chars are invitable. just find Acenra in game and asked for membership if you want to
Generic Supergroup 101 is recruiting but slowly. We want the SG to be a wide variety of ppls & levels. Both beginners and experienced plates are welcome. Liutenants & above can recruit. Membership is not something to take as granted. We do try to help out each other primarly. We also try to teach the new players some common sense in MMORPG:ing. Basically, we're just a relaxed bunch of men & women that play for the fun of the game. Recruiters are most members that are online. Our SG colours are yellow & blue and most members are in SG colours. Leader: Cunundrum & Cuteyhoney.

I'm trying to find people who would be interested in starting up an Role Playing Super Group on defiant.
It would involve pleanty of teamed [censored] Kicking, Task-Forces, and general Fantasic Four/Justice League style comradery.
I'm aiming more at the more mature player who maybe likes to think of themselves as an origional Anti-Hero with a good backstory who feels a little annoyed by thier current SG and wants to try something different.
