Leaving the Forums

I tend to always take things seriously. :/

When I 1st came here I was an internet noob. I lurked for weeks before I felt comfortable enough to post and even then the preview button was my best friend.
I would sit there and spell check and reread just to make sure it was the most eloquent thing every put on the 'Net.
I learned to avoid the 'Wall of text' phenomenon.
I learned how to ID trolls and others who just wanted to start arguments to make themselves feel powerful.
I grew a thicker skin and ultimately decided not to take myself so seriously.


With regards to you Lone Hero... Your like night and day to me.

I'll read a post of yours and think to myself 'Man, its refreshing to see an intelligent, well thought out and polite post. I like this guy, even if I've never heard of Kamen riders.'
Then I'll scroll down and read as your shoot yourself in the foot needlessly.
It's a defense mechanism ingrained in you from all those years/months spent elsewhere apparently.

My advice. Don't go anywhere, just relax a bit. I'd much rather have you around then someone like NetherGoat, who's sole purpose seems to be latching onto whatever everyone else is against at the moment and trumpeting it, even when it contradicts his own previous posts.
Or worse GG and her one sentence drivel.

I just want to echo those who are suggesting you don't leave. It's a forum, and generally one of the better ones out there. People are nicer here then most places, even when they're being mean.

If nothing else, you've shown that you learn from your mistakes and you're a better person for it. So why leave?

See... You should have taken MY method of handling such things. I keep putting out really bad joke lists until people start offering me money to leave the forums... I even got a Pay-Pal account for that happy day.

Problem is, Steel.. You write funny lists. We won't pay you for doing good things.

I have occasionally become disgusted with some aspect of the forum community and decided I'd ignore it all for a while. I recommend it to anyone. It's good for ya, gives you time to either forget why you did it or just gain some perspective, or if nothing else time for the wound (whatever its depth) to heal.

Not that anyone missed me at the time, mind you, just throwing out suggestions.
