Yep, still room

There's still 4 computers up for grabs at the place, and so far 6 are bringing their own laptops (7 including yourself)

Not at £9.50 per journey Jamie. You only need to look around and try booking online in advance. I'm Crawley > London Bridge > London Euston > Birmingham.

Just to say that train tickets and a hotel booking will be done for me early this week, however my main reason for posting is this.....

Recently there has been, shall we say, "A Spirited Debate" going on involving members of the Union server. And it is still ongoing it seems.

Now I've been holding myself back from diving into that said thread and foot stomping on full fury like a mad man just so I can post here first and even then with some restraint here.

It would be appreciated that those coming to the meet up leave some certain types of "baggage" at home and not bring it to Birmingham with them. If you all must carry on with the debate or any other dark history between yourselves, leave it for the forum and other forms of digital space. If you can't keep any potential conversation with someone on the other side of the fence quiet and civilised, do not bring your issues with each other to a real life meet!

There are going to be people coming that will be spending considerable money and giving up a lot of time and energy to get to Birmingham and the last thing they probably want to see is a mass argument and nerd rage.

If you choose to do so then don't be shocked if you suddenly get asked to leave the premises by those that work there.

And I say that to everyone! Regardless of which side I might take in a debate, if you start any trouble, even if I agree with your viewpoint, I'll be voting to have you removed from the building by it's staff.

That is all

All the best and see you down there.

Um, wow. That's quite a hefty post right there. And I'm a little disheartened at the aggressive tone as well. I think it goes without saying that anyone being an idiot should take it elsewhere and not ruin the weekend for others. No need for threats of eviction really.

Just um.... wow, still taken aback at this...

Don't worry Dante! Everything will be fine! I hope... gah.. why did I say I'd do this thing again? What was I thinking! *runs around in a panic* Only 17 days to go! ARGH! I'm terrified!

No one will be getting thrown out as I doubt anyone would be silly enough to start an argument (unless it's over pizza toppings!).. besides, I'll be there with my cardboard box and wheelchair of doom* Please lets just not talk about any controversial forum topics and all have a good time meeting folks and putting globals to faces

*Now hoping it doesn't sound like I'm coming as Captain Pike or Davros!

I cant talk about controversial topics?

Hmm, sounds like a chance for the chest waxing to come back in force then...

Those who *DO* start anything will be forcibly waxed....

You could always come as Barbra Gordon/Oracle... she has a wheelchair and she's a babe. Two birds with one stone!

Gahhhh! You can, just not about the one regarding roleplay on the other part of the forum that's caused chaos. I think I will bring a pot of wax... just for you Gangrel

I give up... I'm gonna go hide in my box now.

Awesome! Tyger's coming. \o/

We're at the Paragon Hotel for a night. Only £36 for all but distance was the deciding factor because I hate buses, so it's not far from the Net Cafe.

I'd actually seen the Paragon hotel on the Googlemap just because the name was so apt for a City meet.

£36 sounds good to me. Oh and for how long are we staying on each day?

The place is open 48 hours over the weekend, so if anyone wants to do anything over night they can do. Although got nothing planned as yet! If any of you coming along have got something you'd like to do... a TF or something?

I'll probably be doing 9am Saturday till 5pm or a little later depending on how I'm feeling health-wise, and same again (or a little later start) on the Sunday.

It is closing in!

Yes, no heavy arguments please. As far as I am concerned thatother topic is closed and done for.

NO... I am not turning up in a dress... Liz will send a stooly in stead. Male ofcourse. Unless I could quickly make one of my male characters as costume. Which I dont see happening as I am currently on vacation with some flu to boot.

Probably just the daytime for me. I'm gonna do the social thing rather than play I imagine, get to meet some of you and stuff... I can then TF happily with anyone from back at Shocker Towers in the comfort of my own domestic bliss.

I'll head over in the morning and be around until the evening on both days, but I'm coming to chat and see folks in person more than playing. A TF together could be fun though! Maybe even set up an impromptu TF challenge or race between a couple of teams.

The Square Peg is just round the corner for a pie and a pint during the day too.

I'm also at the Paragon hotel for 2 nights. Too much driving to do if I don't stay at least that long!

It looks alright though, leaving the other half to do as she pleases while i'm at the meet!

Is there space for one more? I can bring my laptop!

I will only be able to come on the Saturday I'm afraid tho, as I'm off to a wedding on the Sunday

I am waiting to see what is happening family wise that weekend before committing one way or the other. That weekend marks my son's first week at uni and he will probably be coming home (the dirty washing run).
