  1. Old Insidium Plant (E4)

With the girl thought to be Tomb up on her shoulder in a fireman's hold, Damsel sped out of the elevator just as it went airborne and raced towards the Northern shore. She knew her husband would head the other way, Eastwards, stalling near the plant and creating as much of a diversion as possible. Rescuing Tomb was on her now; the safety of the prisoner was her sole mission. Soon, the villains on the Island would inevitably give chase. Unseen, she raced towards the outer edge of the North Jungle, making a sport of avoiding both tentacles, flowing lava and falling fireballs.

    North Jungle (C3)

Misdirection. Blades of grass kicked up as Damsel increased her footspeed yet again, closer to the speed of sound. In the blink of an eye she was gone.

    Landborough Port (A8)

Clear sand erupted upwards into the burning skies as Damsel arrived at Landborough Port. "Destination analysis" she whispered, but didn't stop running.

    Eastern Cliff (F11)

She circled round the bend of the Island shores once again and arrived at the Eastern Cliff edge where the helicarrier was settled, avoiding the volcanic clouds.

    Hidden Submarine Docks (F11)

Damsel entered deep into the caves there and exited once again. It had all happened within sixty seconds and now she was back at Landborough Port.

    Landborough Port (A8)

Damsel believed her misdirection mission was done. She hoped to have successfully blurred or thrown off whatever scent or trails she'd left behind. She then leapt onto Miranda Payne's submarine and knocked on the hatch. "Open up! Open up! It's me Damsel" she yelled down to those inside.

Damsel didn't stop to see the weapons aimed at her but increased her footspeed to 500 mph. Time seemed to slow to a crawl, making her next series of movements appear like teleportation to the untrained eye. Whether the fields erected by the short girl loosened the madwoman's grip on Tomb, or not, Damsel wrapped her arms around the little girl and disappeared into the back of the elevator, looking skywards through the open emergency hatch to see her husband.

Quickly realising there was an attack coming her way, simple blind instinct pushed the immortal to rush herself to try and grab the girl by the throat to pin her to a nearby wall before the cone struck, without even realising she didn't have anything to worry about thanks to the pyromaniac that turned up in the nick of time. "NO YOU DON'T!"
Beneath the Old Insidium Plant (E4)

All hell had now broken loose. Everyone was fighting everyone. Alliances were dwindling and trust, even those already established was beginning to fade. Why was this little girl worth so much, Damsel wondered. For all she knew, the Federal Bureau and other government agencies had sent her and the Nighthunters to come capture her. Nothing had prepared her for this much competition. And who the heck was this madwoman holding the girl up against a wall?

"Damsel to Priest" she thought out, sending the message through her amulet. "I've somehow ditched the rock-man I was fighting. I'm back out under the plant and believe it or not, I have the target in sight. Tell everyone! Tomb is right here in front of me. Unfortunately, things are about to turn very ugly, very fast. So get down here before I blow a fuse!" With her superspeed, she moves in close to the girl thought to be Tomb.

Damsel wasn't quite expecting the doors to open for her and she stumbled in the air as she fell through it, watching on in horror as the doors slid shut and locked her out of the snowy arena. "Damn it" she muttered, turning around to search the room for another way back in. Then she saw her. The little girl. "Hey!" she yelled, rushing at the teen. "Freeze kid, you're under arrest!" she called out, accidentally blasting a cone of immobilizing ice at the small crowd.

Another epic attack blocked. Damsel was infuriated. "Pious, I'm running out of ideas!" she pleaded with her husband, over the amulet. "This monster, this unearthly Thing is too strong. He's resisted kicks, punches, ice, cold and lightening. Seriously what kind of creature is this?". Meanwhile, her hurricane continues to battle the Ox-man's sandstorm and the temperature in the room drops even steeper, nearing -20 °C as snow begins to form within the arena. Winter had come early and the structure itself may or may not cope with the increasingly severe weather summoning.

Frustrated and definitely pissed off, Damsel retreats towards the exit door and lobs a tiny pellet of ice at the man. "Fuc* off already you fat son'ova bit*h!"

The sand at first began to jump before it rose into the air, rubbing and spinning in circles as the room began to fill with a sand storm, a counter source of heat rising to battle Damsels chill. “Like sand rubbing against sand, causes friction and friction causes heat!”
Beneath the Old Insidium Plant, North Arena (E4)

Watching the wrestler's rock-hard armour crack but still resist her attacks frustrated Damsel greatly. She gritted her teeth and began spinning angrily in the air with incredible speed, collecting the cold winds around her and allowing the sandstorm to heat it up until the spinning wet winds grew into a massive hurricane.

Cyclones usually strengthen when evaporated water is released upwards. The hot sandstorm melting up the iced arena was literally feeding Damsel's hurricane. The saturated air rose within it, resulting in the condensation of water vapour, causing small droplets of rain. As both sandstorm and hurricane pitted battle, the thunderstorm forming behind Damsel blossomed inside the extreme weather and bolted down earth-shattering lightning, influenced to strike the iced Golem.

All the while, the building shook. Damsel could tell as several load bearing walls and structures up in the plant collapsed, sending echoes and dust falling from the roof. The storms of sand, ice and lightning would also probably be noticeable from outside the arena door, which by the sounds of it, was being struck at.

Stay in touch" he finished, before having a worrying afterthought. "I love you" he added solemnly, before heading back up through the elevator
Beneath the Old Insidium Plant, North Arena (E4)

"Yeah, I was afraid that might happen" replied Damsel, communicating through her amulet. "The way the doors slid shut earlier, it did sounds very much like a locking system. Oh well. I'll execute the plan on my own. Finger's crossed" she finished before having a worrying afterthought. "Oh and er... I love you too."

With that said, the little woman floated up into the air and began swirling her arms in slow circular motions. Somehow all the ambient energy contained within the room began to flow into and through her. As she energized, her power returned to her. She continued to steal the environmental energy and eventually the room temperature began to drop. As the air cooled beyond 32 °C, Damsel expected her opponent to to begin suffering mild hypothermia, shivering with sympathetic nervous system excitation and hypertension, typical physiological responses of the human body trying to preserve heat. Beyond 30 °C, Damsel expected violent shivering, muscle mis-coordination, slow and laboured movement, stumbling speech and mild mental confusion. His body may try to focus its remaining resources on keeping the vital organs warm, so skin becoming pale, lips, ears, fingers and toes becoming blue.

As the air cooled beyond 20 °C, Damsel expected her opponent to undergo severe difficulty in speaking, sluggish thinking, inability to use hands and feet and possible amnesia. For her own entertainment, she hoped her victim would exhibit incoherent behaviours of severe hypothermia such as terminal burrowing while in a stupor and paradoxical undressing, usually caused by overworked muscles becoming exhausted and relaxed, leading to a sudden surge of blood to the extremities, fooling the victim into feeling overheated, and thus discarding clothing.

As the air cools beyond 0 °C, ice finally begins to form, encasing the arena with glistening ice crystals. Damsel fully expected her opponent's pulse and respiration rates to decrease significantly as major organs fail. Usually at this point, clinical death occurs. However, she presumed this rock-based metahuman would be far more resilient than that, so she continued her area of effect ice-based attack, with ever-rising severity. Hovering there in the air, an aura of cold winds now circulated her body, shards of ice protruding from her joints that caused her to look fearsome and inhuman. Her eyes fired up and began to glow white as snow, a thundercloud seemingly forming above her. "Listen to me Oxy-moron" she taunted with an echo in her voice. "This here girl is too cool for a fool so you aint touching this. There won't be no wrestling. Give up. Pass out in your human state or be recrystallized and shattered in your rock-form. Hm?"

Damsel leapt off the ground to evade the spikes and landed on a large boulder. She stayed there resting quietly, hidden in the corners where shadow escaped light. "Well of course," she muttered to herself, like a person loosing their mind. "He's a meta. Of course he's a meta. Shrugged off my blows like some kind of rock. Just my luck, just my luck. "Ooh a boss fight" said Damsel, pacing through the dirt and circling the big man. She picks her target spots and starts jogging like a boxer, gathering her energy. "This is actually pretty exciting. Must be close to the final level... Yay me!" She stops jogging and begins moving her arms in a circular motion, focusing her chi. With a final pose she beckons the giant over in a daring taunt. "Bring it on big man, bring it on." With that, she disappears in lightning speed, reappearing behind the tall wrestler. She knew the only way to win this fight is to end it fast. If this man ever reached her, she would take far too much damage to stay conscious. Very quickly, she leapt into the air and unleashed ALL of her power into a series of kicks, punches and powerful strikes.

She knifed her palm and attempted to stab his suboccipital muscles behind the ear, then quickly threw a jab at his lower cervical spine behind the neck before striking with both fists towards his upper trapezius behind the upper shoulder and his supraspinatus behind the lower shoulder. As she began to fall, she tried a hard strike at his right lateral epicondyle behind the elbow joint. She landed gracefully and stared hard at his well-developed gluteus maximus, looking rather impressed. Didn't last long as she unleashed a powerful jab, strong enough to smash a brick wall, directly towards the upper quadrant of his gluteal region, just above the buttocks. Following through, she opened her arms wide and brought them swinging inwards with great destructive power at the greater trochanter, the upper femurs on both his outer hips. Exhausted from the string of explosive attacks, she allowed herself to fall back, launching a final double-kick in an attempt to smash the man's femur condyle, his lower femurs on the inside of his knees.

Quickly, she sprinted back and out of sight, waiting to see the results of her incredibly precise attacks. She had struck with literally all the power she had, the lightning-fast assault lasting only a few seconds. "Come on, come on, I've tried to hit you. Those are Masked Angel's killer moves. Your nerves must be shattered, your weakest bones broken. Structural integrity severed, you've got to fall," she whispered to herself, from her hiding place. "Fall damn it!"
  10. Central Room. Beneath the Old Insidium Plant (E4)

Damsel calmed her nerves and focused all of her emotions into constructive energy. The electric charge buzzed all around her, forming a shield as she began a series of slow, meditative martial gestures. The static field already in the room buzzed alive and became drawn to Damsel's body. With all her physical force, she exploded in a concentrated burst of superhot lightening that enveloped the room in bright white light.

"Damn it" she groaned, gasping out of exhaustion. Her defensive electrical shield sparked momentarily before fizzling out. "Note to self; lightening inside a metal box, bad idea, almost electrocuted myself. This is a bad. I'm having a bad day. I want my hand back."

Just then, she noticed the hand had actually been touched and displaced by the lightening. That's when it hit her. Something had partially phased the column out of reality. Yet it was somehow reachable. She refocused her energy and carried out a series of unique hand gestures which caused the air in the room to ripple. The dirt beneath her feel began to rise then swirl until quite suddenly, they pushed forward in a gust of wind. An electric blast carried forward in the charge. As the gale got more and more powerful, she could see her hand inching through the column.

"Ah!" she exclaimed, with a final push which brought her severed hand out of the phased column. With a victorious cheer she caught it and made quick work of reattaching the limb. With a sigh she abandoned the column and made her way through the Northward door.

Central Room. Beneath the Old Insidium Plant (E4)

The pain registers hard as Damsel looses her hand. Her facial muscles contorts with rage and anger. She bites down the instinct to scream and grunts instead, shaking violently with excruciating pain.

    "FU*K!" she yells. "SH*T!"

    "FU*KSH*T!"

"God! What the fuc* is in there?"

She fell silent for a while, having sufficiently expressed herself. She turned to the short woman and gave her a dangerous stare. "Fuc* you looking at?"

She paced around the room now, clutching her bleeding arm and musing quietly. Eventually, the bleeding stopped but she would need her arm back to reintegrate. When she finally stopped pacing, she sparked off some extremely high voltage electricity in her one working hand. "Better get your a*se into one of these doors girly. I'm hurt, I'm one-armed and I'm pissed off as sh*t! Right now, I'm about to blow a fuse and storm up in this purple rain son'ova bit*h. Sh*t's gonna get real hot, real fast. So unless you wanna be barbequed, I suggest you get the fu*k out."

I've found something down here beneath the abandoned plant. A set of blast doors leading in all directions and some sort of central column. I'm going in to investigate. Over." Damsel released her amulet, hovered to the energised column, peered into the fist-sized hole then proceeded to reach into it.

"What's your name and story kid? Why you here?"

It slowly stood up, its two front claws pounding the ground hard. The demon stretched out before bringing its head up, roaring loudly as it did. By this time the smaller demonling had made its way back, ready to join its fellow demon in guarding the plant from others like its master had told them to. As the demon roared Erez'Zul showed a fake look of surprise. "And i think thats our queue to run, come on, get in!" Both Erez'Zul and Screecher rushed into the elevator, ready to go wherever it would take them once Damsel stepped inside.

Damsel stared at Dominic long and hard, hardly fooled by his poor acting. She sighed and stepped into the elevator. As the door closed, she half expected to hear the annoying drone of elevator music. "You know Dominic," she said. "I have no qualms with demon summoning but what I do hate, more the devil itself, is pretence. This whole charade is a travesty and an insult to my intelligence. Drop the act and come clean or at least shut the hell up. Are we clear?"

"Fine whatever" Damsel shrugged, stepping in line to follow the two. Deep within her she felt guilt for what was criminally an unprovoked attack yet her stubborness stopped her apologising. She kept silent now, not wanting to reflect any more badly on her team yet she maintained the venomous persona.

"If you think you know the way, lead on."
  17. "Call me Damsel" said Damsel. "I'm with the Nighthunters hero group. We're here to save Tomb from herself. She's under arrest and coming with us... alive!"

Her uniform spoke louder than words. She turned around and stared at the vanquished demon.

"Thanks" she said, her intuition warning her to stay on guard. She squinted and studied the man before her very carefully before speaking.

"Fine. I'll let you join us but I'm not lending you my trust that easily. What can you tell me about this place? Have you found anything during your search?"

Damsel's fiery instincts had kicked in and she had lashed out in lightening speed, with a sequence of expert martial art blows that seemed to anger the green-haired one. His reaction was equally violent as he bellowed a deafening sonic burst. But it wasn't fast enough as Damsel's highly damaging lightening-ball punch tore through his attack and collided with his face, shattering his glasses and reverberating a powerful shockwave. "Enough" she commanded, holding a finger up at the blonde. "You seem like the most level-headed one of us all. Who are you and why do you want Tomb?"

As her consciousness returned to her, Damsel's vision cleared up and all she saw was green boots, dark glasses, green veins and green hair. Detective Mike 'Hellskiller' Grayson had just finished x-ray scanning the huge abandoned mining pit and explained that he'd found deep mine shafts, one of which lead to a large metal construct, some sort of functional operations base. That's when the avalanche hit, bringing down with it a snowball full of people.

"Hate to be the bearer of bad news Damsel" said Hells. "But I think your husband's in there. Along with the rest of the mountain team."

"What actually in the snowball?" she asked, getting airborne.

"Yes" he replied. "Problem is... the operations base I just saw hidden in the mountain? They've now gone and blocked the only way in."

"They won't be for long" said the Sentinel. "The snow and ice are already melting off."

"Woah, woah hang on a second" said Damsel. "Are you telling me that the snowball from the avalanche ate my husband?"

"Yes, Damsel" yelled Hells. "They are in the damn snowball!"

"Well then don't just stand there!" she exclaimed, watching the two men's eyes suddenly wander skywards.

"Jesus titty-fuc****-Christ" muttered Hells, mouth hanging open, cigarette dangling.

"What in God's name are you two standing there staring at? Let's go help them get free!" Damsel exclaimed.

"What are we staring at?" said Hells, pointing over Damsel's shoulder. "We're staring at that thing."

She followed the direction of his gaze and found herself face-to-tail with a real life gargantuan dragon.

"Doesn't strike me as a magical beast" said the Sentinel, matter-of-factly. "More of a cosmic creature, energy-based with technological armaments."

"Guess that would explain the big-ar** alien warship we spotted sitting in the harbour" Hells piped up, licking up his cig. "Must've dropped off this ugly sonova-"

"Well don't just stand there talking about it" Damsel yelled. "I'll free the snowball, you two arm up and kill it."

"Woah, woah hang on there missy. Just 'cos it's ugly don't mean we gotta kill it" said Hells.

"Yeah well I beg to differ" she replied.

"Mike's right" said the Sentinel. "This creature strikes me as a weapon and we don't know who owns it. We don't know who's on that ship or why they're here."

"At any rate" Hells added, "your husband called minimum force on this mission. Non-lethal. That means there will be no killing of any random sh*t."

"Hells, I am not in the mood for an arguement right now" said Damsel, lightening dancing dangerously around her.

    "Who's argueing?"

"Guess I gotta do everything around here" she retorted, flying fist-first towards the dragon.
