Sounds like this is actually going to be quite a big meet. Are you sure this place is prepared for a sudden influx, Kall? We might need to go into the place in shifts!
*Runs around panicking* It should be okay, I told them when I booked that it could be between 15-20 folks showing up, maybe more, but some won't be staying all day and all night, so it should all even out.

I've got to phone/email the place a couple of weeks before the meet just to give them a heads up on final numbers and let them know we're all gonna definitely be there

Looking forward to meeting everyone, although I may go disguised as a box anyway.

I've been updating it as people have been saying they're coming

It looks like there's going to be around 16 people coming (4 with their own computers/laptops) leaving 3 computers free, and I've got 7 who aren't sure if they can make it or not yet.

Well, seeing as I might be the only girl currently going it seems like the box idea would be for the best. I was even going to cut a slot in the top so I could wave my exclamation mark if anyone got near and make the 'noticed noise' from Metal Gear Solid should anyone approach...

Or I might just come as Kall, seeing as the clothes aren't too dissimilar to my usual attire :P

I live about 15 minutes outside of Birmingham so I was all excited when I saw this thread, until I noticed the EU beside it.

I live 15 minutes outside of Birmingham, Alabama...

All the same, hope you have a great turnout!

LOL.. I doubt I'll be doing dress-up, but I'll bring along my Hellion t-shirt* if you want to use it as a raffle prize!

Not exactly dress-up but I hope to come in a white shirt and a skinny black tie, like Priest.

I was thinking of coming but when I asked someone I thought might know all I got was...

"I'm a Bunneh!!"

*Hop...Hop..Hop*

He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Dress up? Does getting out of bed and putting clothes on count?...

I shall most certainly be bringing my own laptop aswell!!

Should anyone need it, I can bring a second one but tell me before I leave.

given my last driving endeavour to brummie took so much longer than expected, and the carparks there (and hotels) are all clearly owned by the devil.

I'll be giving this a miss. But if anyone one day organsies one near somewhere interesting I'll be up for it *is finished slagging of brummie for now*

Simple answer, don't drive then! :P

If you feel you can organise something better yourself then I suggest you do it instead of moaning

(p.s. This event could have been held in Halesowen but I thought a more central location with more transport links, shops, pubs and other places would be better. Plus it's just around the corner from the old Omega Sektor)

Driving would be cheaper for me, considering how close I live to london, its stupidly expensive how much I have to pay for a train into that stupid city (i like to complain alot)

In all honesty, if I wasnt working that weekend, I would probably come, as the drive isnt as bad as I made out, and brummie was actually alright, except for the parking

Although I can easily bring the rough trousers and pagan T-shirt of Karnac, I doubt I'd be able to grow three foot taller and the same again wide no matter how many bench presses I manage...

I'm the same with Zortel, however it will take me 3hours 20m, each way from here to Birmingham.

However have fun at the meet!
