Nemesis, Silmon and Silos: OH MY!

(I did not see an active thread discussing these characters and their possible involvement with the Coming Storm. If there is, feel free to ignore this and direct me to it.)

<<SPOILERS WILL PROBABLY ABOUND BEYOND THIS POINT>>
With that said, what do we, as players, know about these folks? What are their connections, if any? What role do they play in the greater picture of CoH/V Lore? What is the Coming Storm? Might it be the invasion of our world by Tyrant? Is it an invasion of not-Rikti aliens whose ships run on Kheldians?

Basically, I invisioned this thread as one in which all of our collective ponderings could kinda go crazy.

For those unfamiliar, here are some Wiki links that should cover most of the basics. Also, a bit on anagrams.
I think we all know that Lord Nemesis anagrams into Mender Silos. We also know that Leonard Silmon can't get us to Nemesis, we are short by "ES" and have an extra "ALON." If you take the word "Mender" out of Leonard Silmon... you are short an "E" and left with "ALISON." So... is there some kinda anagram there too?

Dr. Aeon and Silmon:
Have we all noticed that Leonard's gloves are identical (outside of color) to Aeon's signature gauntlets... Does this mean anything? Also, is it significant that the gauntlets shift from pure black at some points in the arc to black with blue piping (similar to Aeon's white with blue piping) and then back to black again?

Your aim is true?

Sorry, I just don't have any real comment, but will be interested in reading this thread.

Dec out.

Not sure what to make of that...

If you are questioning why I included that little bit of uselessness, it is to make sure that that particular avenue did not lead to a Mender [Something] that we could then expect to find as perhaps the Mysterious Writer, or some such. Also, it would be kinda cool if we could get Silmon to form a Mender name but NOT Nemesis.

However, I am glad you will enjoy the read. I am hoping other folks with more outlandish or interesting theories than I have will chime in here.

Alison
Oh it's so funny to be seeing you after so long, girl.
And with the way you look I understand
that you were not impressed.
But I heard you let that little friend of mine
take off your party dress.
I'm not going to get too sentimental
like those other sticky valentines,
'cause I don't know if you've been loving some body.
I only know it isn't mine.
Alison, I know this world is killing you.
Oh, Alison, my aim is true.

Well I see you've got a husband now.
Did he leave your pretty fingers lying
in the wedding cake?
You used to hold him right in your hand.
I'll bet he took all he could take.
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking
when I hear the silly things that you say.
I think somebody better put out the big light,
cause I can't stand to see you this way.

Alison, I know this world is killing you.
Oh, Alison, my aim is true.
My aim is true.

Probably about as significant as the fact he's wearing a 1960s version of the Arachnos chest piece. He seems designed to be a red herring.

You might want to toss a SPOILERS line up in the OP, Thirty-Seven. We do get new players now and then(hopefully several as Going Rogue ramps up), who may not know of these ties.

Here, there be SPOILERS.

That said, I'd not had any connections to Leonard Silmon, and had to go read the wiki article. I'm not certain how he drags into your overall discussion of Nemesis and the Coming Storm. Is it the similarity of his last name to Silos that makes the connection?

There have been discussions, at least piecemeal, concerning these topics on forum threads in the past.

From what I've been able to gather, both from in-game and discussion, the Coming Storm appears to be an alien invasion with the Shivan as scouts. Based on comments by Mender Silos, who is probably Nemesis, it would seem he got nosy again, like he did with the Ritki home world, and attracted the attention of the Shivan's master/s. It appears that Mendor Silos regrets the results and is trying to change the outcome, but just like Nemesis, he's doing so to his own ends. The Letter Sender believes the goals of Silos to be as bad, and is formulating a plan and strike squad to counter. As to who is referred to as the Coming Storm, the guesses are many with four main contenders in the material I've read so far:
1. An alien armada composed of the same species that will later burn the Kheldians for fuel.
2. Rularuu of Earth Prime dimension and whatever armies he brings with him.
3. The Earth Prime dimension's version of aliens that interacted with the Ritki. I'm personally unclear whether this is intended to mean the aliens that altered the Rikti, or an invading force driven back from the Rikti home world. It has also been suggested that this alien force is the same as in #1.
4. An as yet unseen, undescribed alien race.

I am not certain how Doctor Aeon plays into all this, if at all.

Twlight's Son mentions this during the intro to Ouro arc.

"Ask about this contact" says Silmon.

Well done.
I have a 50 in every AT, but Scrappers and Dominators are my favorites.

Considering Nemesis' prediliction for time-travel, the nature of Ouroboros, and the tone of the letters from the mysterious Letter Sender, I like to ponder the prospect of the Coming Storm being a Time-Storm. Danger from all points in time coming together in the present-day Paragon / Rogue Isles to cause chaos.

It's easy to imagine the devastation this could cause to Paragon (and the fun events to be had in-game) and also the flow on consequences of such a thing that might make Nemesis decide he has to stop it. How do you counter a Time Storm, obviously you need to have a base of operations set up outside of normal space-time...oh, he has! Next you need to recruit heroes and villains (anyone with the strength to do it that has been entrusted with the secret) to hop through time to course-correct (thanks LOST) the timeline.

As far as in-game events go, I could imagine the Coming Storm being a mixture of enemies from thoughout the timeline, 60's Arachnos leading raids on the present, Cimeoran troops led by Imperious attacking Atlas Park, new enemy groups from the future travelling back to endanger the present day. It'd be neat!

I don't know. Mender Lazarus slips at one point and says 'invasion' instead of 'coming storm,' and the Shivans are known to be scouts for whatever the 'Coming Storm' is (it is a Shivan meteor that starts the whole event). So whatever is going to go down, it involves a tangible hostile invasion force.

Goodbye, I guess.

Both his similarity of name, as well as the fact that the Mysterious Writer's letter appears in his arc... and that he mysteriously has a clone factory? There are a bunch of unanswered questions about him and Thomas Mane, as far as I'm concerned.

I didn't see Cimerora mentioned. I assume that Cimerora also plays a part in this, as the letter sender planted a letter there as well.

And we have yet to see who the master of Romulus is.....

EDIT: Saw a small mention. Still, can't overlook how Cimerora ties into this.

The Cimerora letter is the creepiest, since it's there to tell you that the Letter Sender can find you anywhere/when even if you're not using Ouroboros' main Pillar. There's also the implication that the Sender thinks you were using the Midnight Squad's crystal to time travel and somehow evade him/her.

It also poses the question of how the Midnight Squad got their crystal away from Ouroboros, but the main point is that the letter sender will always be able to find you.

Goodbye, I guess.
