Release notes for build 1800.201003300904.25T5r.

COMBINED

Mission Architect

  • Fixed a bug that was causing the damage done by certain allied critters to not affect rewards.

Auction House
  • Fixed bug that was causing very large transactions to be miscalculated.

Gameplay
  • Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred when toggling 3 D Sound.
  • Fixed a crash when certain characters are included in the comment box while using the LFG system.
  • Fixed a crash when a player selected ‘Back’ during a respec.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing input lag for some players.

CITY OF HEROES

Tasks

  • Fixed a gap in the wall of the last mission of Positron's Task Force, Part 2.

CITY OF VILLAINS

Powers

Masterminds

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Masterminds in some missions to Malefactor down and retain high level pets. Now pets will be lost whenever the combat level of the Mastermind’s team decreases. This also resolves the issue of retaining 2 or 3 tier 1 pets while Malefactored down to the point where the Mastermind can only summon 1 pet.

I;d see, since they're not listed, that the respect and LGRF issues haven't been fixed yet. As too:

I found this when searching for a solution for my vent issues and increased cpu usage with the game.

The thread suggests that the fix on the training room runs this at a lower priority.

So hpoefully these are just incomplete patch notes and that same fix has hit live.

I'll test it out later. But even with this, the respec fix isn't mentioned above so I'm not sure if there's a disconnect between fixes being rolled in and what's on the announcement above.

So far so good! The game is running at Normal priority now and I can stream music like I used to do without any sound stuttering or lockups.

Needs more playtesting but this is first impression.

Why is there still a problem with the patch notes process? This is a management issue..not software. I cant help but think proper process control wouldnt make life easier on the devs. I mean, they are fixing things and not even giving themselves credit in the notes.

Still no enhancement screen fix =(

Still having a hard time slotting my toons =( And it just annoys the fire out of me. The screen makes me grit my teeth every time I check my enhancements.



Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Pine, I had this problem a while back and found out it was my own computer doing it, not the game. Try adjusting your monitor resolution to a couple of different settings and seeing if it helps you out. It did for me.

If on the other hand you are talking about the screen being "shrunk", I believe that is to make room for a 7th enhancement slot since there is now room for it by my estimation. Probably how Posi plans on making 50's more powerful w/o adding more levels. (Just a guess though)

Soooo grateful for the fix to priority settings. Streaming music makes things much more enjoyable for me, and as I had kinda guessed, fixing that cleared up the ridiculously common map server alerts, and high (1500+) ping times. However, with the new patch, my frames per sec have gone from roughly 30 average, to 10-15... :/ I'll take that over the lag any day, but it would be *lovely* to have both.

-Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred when toggling 3 D Sound.

I was hoping this would fix the issue with the game locking up when 3D sound was enabled with Creative Alchemy running to enable 3D sound in Vista/Windows 7. Unfortunately it did not. Any chance there is a fix in the works for this? I'd really like to have my 3D working with Windows 7.

Thanks for updating the patchnotes Avatea. The input lag fix (lowering the priority and whatever else they did) is absolutely fantastic. I've been able to dual box, stream music, do everything I was able to do before with UM settings bumped up.

Great find and great fix.

Did you fix the seemingly rare bug in the last mission of Post pt1? I would think the GM who got us past the City Hall door would have reported it... Also we found it was further bugged by no shadow duplicates...

All hail the devs for this one. Sure enough, the process priority for CoH is now 'Normal' when the game is in focus, and while it probably lowered the framerate for a few folks, I'm just enormously glad that the game is playable again. *provides an offering of pizzas in return*

so LGSF is fixed now or ?


Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.

Looks like the entrance to Cimerora was fixed too.

And the vendoring recipe screen. Trying to tell the difference between my lvl 20 and lvl 50 vendor stuff is difficult.
Normal recipe window is fine, just not at vendor, like normal enhancment tray is fine, just not in manage.


I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

I'll note that I *STILL* can't regain access to several of the Natural Booster costume options, chief among them being the hair styles on either models. It's getting annoying.


The Beta is full of bugs? How can that be?!
