On the flipside, you can have your account suspended for frivolous petitions. Use judgment and all will be well.
It's standard for any online game these days.
Now, that being said... All the people who are saying they'll perma-ignore people who make "pee jokes", or one star them, or whatever... Honestly, the people who you are 1-star'ing will probably not want to be around you if you can't laugh or ignore the banal humor, so it won't change too much. Personally I'm just going to shrug off the urine jokes, even the rarer "milk" jokes; save my complaining for the really awful ones (IE pedophilic or ****-tastic in nature)
The game's rated Teen, which is like between PG-13 and R. Not G. Tongue-in-cheek and bathroom humor is going to happen. -
In the beta in the past, I have seen the locked-but-purchaseable sets show up during character creation, they just had the little Store icon/link on them and couldn't be selected, only viewed.
I remember seeing it with Staff Fighting, seeing it with the new MM set, etc. Just that it doesn't show up now (but I can't recheck again because I've "Purchased" it on beta already) -

Get to a high enough level to get the first "gimme" costume slot that VEATs automatically get via a small story arc. Bam, instantly fully viable costume, not that a uniform can't be made into solid gold with the proper backing/bio.
And honestly, adding customized weapons/power colors to the mix doesn't spice things up that much, as much as I myself would love to be able to color tint my Kheldian's powers.. It's cake decoration; it makes things prettier but the main point is the cake. Savvy? -

For I21, after the (redacted) changes to Atlas Park (and other zones? Or things? Or characters?), lets have one old man who is the only NPC to remember the old appearances.
And nobody believes him.
Kinda like the bum in Steel Canyon who sits outside the old Monkey Fight Club door.

Basically, my computer is acting like it normally does when I have to hard reset - not saving certain changes, but nothing too major. -

Can you access ncsoft.com from home?
the NCsoft sites have been loading up fine, and the other nationality/language versions of coh.com load fine, but anything that's just on --.cityofheroes.com (that includes boards, and newsletters sent via email & hyperlinked) are not accessible.
I have truely tried everything that I know and researched into. Everything that could block without permission/log has been cleanly uninstalled (and yes I checked for "zombie" processes/files still in there & registry.) I'm at a total and complete loss what else could be blocking just those sites, but kproxy not being able to access the sites anymore leads me to think this is not an isolated incident. It may be a combination of things (such as random computer error that caused a LSP or winsock corruption that won't "self-heal" (as MS states Windows XP can do), combined with DNS errors on the ISP or hub's behalf.
It's not the end of the world, but it's incredibly annoying. Official Tech Support has not been able to help me yet. -
I had done and tried that a long while ago. Hosts file and lnhost (so?) held nothing unusual and even manually adding the site IP and URL did nothing.
Safe mode attempt was also fruitless.
I'm honestly out of ideas on what else to try (proxy works but I don't trust proxies). I've tried everything I know and researched. -

Official Support has only suggested public DNS servers (google public DNS and OpenDNS)
those haven't worked for me (yes following all instructions to clear caches).

Apparently, from what I can discern (I'm no expert), there's a Comcast DNS problem. I'm using a Google Open DNS server on my router and computer settings but it's no help (yes I flushed my DNS cache and my browser cache). I would be able to log into the forum via 64.25.35.108 (in place of "boards.cityofheroes.com") but it auto-resolves to cityofheroes.com every time. I believe because the site (cityofheroes.com) is being used as a forwarder for "coh103.gtm.cityofheroes.com", but this canonical URL will also not connect properly.
All my NSlookup attempts to www.cityofheroes.com end up with similar results. The final answer is the same we all know, but it doesn't work.. and under the comcast portion of the query it doesn't resolve correctly still.
I'm ready to blame Comcast. Again.

I continue to have the same problem, have a separate thread on this same forum (see 1st page, it has many more details)
Nothing that has been suggested, searched, etc... is working.
I\'m beginning to suspect un-healable Winsock corruption -
Update #2. The nameservers listed must not be a major impact on coh.com as I got the same result from ping and tracert on the laptop wireless as I did on problem wired PC. Said PC also can't access the FTP.coh.com site. Wiring the notebook did not change connection ability.
This basically resolves the problem to an individual computer basis, but what that problem is I still can't tell. I'm out of resources here, guys.
