Too Many Demon Summoners?

I have to say, I am guilty of creating a new character this weekend and it was a Demon Summoner. I was tooling around Port Oaks having just got to level eight when a blind invite popped up. Normally I refuse blind invites on principal, but it was really early on a Sunday morning and I was bored with soloing.
I accepted the invite and the leader was able to put together a full team of eight in about two minutes (that was very impressive considering the day and time). The funny part was, six of the eight were DS MM’s (the other two were Spiders). When we all met at the first mission I had to laugh because everyone was in a black and red color scheme and most of us had demon wings!
We started the mission and promptly emptied out several levels of old Dante’s inferno! We proceeded to pretty much destroy mission after mission with only the minimum of deaths (usually because the soon-to-be-victim went left and the rest of the team went right). But very quickly we got in a rhythm and the enemies never stood a chance.
The really fun part is every time one of the group had to leave the replacement was another DS MM! It didn’t matter, we were having fun and leveling like crazy. I ended up having to quit to run some errands but I had made it to level 16 in about two hours.
Just saying it was really fun to play again on a large PUG and I’ll be really upset when they nerf DS!

FoTM syndrome... it'll burn off in a while

I got one in storage.... I'll play her next month most likely.

But I am enjoying the upswing in red side teams even if its 6 DS 1 VEST and Random toon form me.

You'll see more costume variety later too, once more people start going beyond the "default" DS look - just like how now you see lots of DPs without trenchcoats

Teams of all DS MMs are really rather destructive. I was out Bruted, out Dommed, out everything. Heck, it was hard to get to the mobs sometimes.

And yeah, FotM dies down, every time It can be funny while it lasts though.
Although I am getting a tad sick of the Ember demon roar sound. Its...really a bit too loud, IMO. Cool ,but a bit grating after the umpteenth time ><

I was complimented a few days ago... about how I was the only MM around that wasn't a Demon Summoner. (Playing on my Thugs/Dark, my main villain badger)

Exact same thing happened when VEATs came out ... an all VEAT team is pretty impressive, and crazy deadly.

Oh yes, I'm Guilty of that on another server!

And I know about FoTM, i was just saying that it was a good group - even if we had no originality!

My DS/Therm that is waiting for the rush to die off actually looks like the vet non-combat pet impish demon. Tiny little red dude.

Well, my own Demon Summoner is still a demon, I mean I wouldn't have had it any other way, but I think I managed to pit a more interesting spin on him:



That's supposed to be a kid, by the way, and I'm looking for a more human costume for the same outfit next.

Proud to say that my DS/Pain is not dressed in red and black with demon wings.

Instead, she's in full-on schoolgirl attire complete with plaid pleated skirt, all colored red and WHITE. Oh, and she's a catgirl, with animated tail. And white angel wings.

Trying to think of some more cliches I can add in. Ooh, she can be an orphan too, will add that to the bio.

Funny enough, my demons are a SS/Elec brute and a Plant/Elec dom, and they're both wondering who started handing out day passes. They clawed their way out of the pit before it was cool, darn it!

My MM, on the other hand, is a Frankenstein monster girl. Don't call her babies demons. She made them herself and she's very proud of them.

on the upside, this indicates that gr's presales are going pretty well, dosen't it? and yes, i have one as well, but she is wearing white and red, consciously trying to make her look more businesslike, of course she is going rogue to hero as soon as gr hits, it fits her backstory(she is also my first concept transfer from co, just as i have rian and a space robot 5 there, now im bringing some of my chars from there to be re imagined here)

I invented a demon summoning character ages ago, but I think I'll rebuild her as a Praetorian. Angelica Darling, a mutant with the power to summon demons. She's so sweet she'll rot your teeth.

I plan on rolling one soon and he'll be a guy dressed in all white.

I doubt that; its not like there was a shortage of DS teams on Test, the devs already know what they are like. This is just what happens when you have whole teams of masterminds.

I'm actually holding off until GR comes out, though it's driving me a little crazy; my main purpose being that the burgeoning concept has them starting in Praetoria.

As for my DP char, I'm happy to say that I didn't make him with a trench coat.
