Animated Tails are coming
I just had a thought...
will animated tails count towards the 1cape rule? I sure hope not, cause i'd be devastated if i cannot use the bat wings with a tail... eidt: yes i can't type... *mutters* |
I'm hoping that if tail animation was limited to generic movement cycles that they would allow us to have both at the same time. I agree it'd be amazing if these tails had full physics processing like wings and capes and got them to work with those, but I'm not going to assume that's the case until I see it.

All of this is great news, even though I had been against one character being able to bank-roll another without risk, I suppose with the new content, it really doesn't matter that much anymore.
I love the animated tails, but to be honest, I don't want to see animated hair until the character models get a few more pixels. I really dont to see long hair flapping like a solid mass. Now if we could get multiple auras for different hemepheres of the body, that would be great.

It sucks. It sounds like they are adding new hero content but not an equal amount of villain content, unless SM is being revamped with the Dark Mirror enemy too.

It's more 'throwing out the old sh*t that Jack Emmert left here, and finally fixing a horrible excuse for a TF.
There is a reason I only do ITF and LGTF Blueside. Because the rest of the TF's are made of phail.

But also there's the obvious nod to allowing us to have as many options as possible. While I have alts who will likely instantly upgrade to the animated tails I could see where there might be characters out there who would want a 'fake costume' tail for concept reasons instead of a 'real living' tail.

I was actually thinking they might eventually introduce these in an upcoming Booster Pack.
But getting them as part of a free Issue upgrade is just gravy.

To note, I'm afraid I couldn't see past the animated tails to read up on all the other stuff. I know that might make me sound silly, especially since I have all of ONE character with a tail (other than the two with a bunny one), but this is easily the coolest thing in I17 as far as my anticipation metre goes. Ultra Mode is cool, sure, but animated tails? THIS IS SWEET!

I've yet to make a char that has a tail, though in the cases where I was close to using one it came down to a decision of either having a tail or A SNAZZY BELT.
The snazzy belts win sorry, but hey if the new tails don't take up the belt slot then that would be cool.

I'm very worried the old tails will disappear and the new ones will be moved to the Back slot with no way to select both a tail and wings/cape. Shadowguardinal will become frozen in time because tail + scarf is her signature.
But I'll try to keep hoping.
The only thing that would make this better is if they finally fixed up our player models to properly support Backpacks/Scabbards/Quivers etc.
New Badges: Along with adding badges for 500 Badges Earned, 750 Badges Earned, and 1,000 Badges Earned, we are adding new exploration badges to city zones, almost doubling the number of exploration badges. You can learn new Accolades for finding all of the exploration badges in each city zone.
Increased Mission Count: You can now have seven active missions (previously three).
I'd start frothing at the mouth, but I'm watching a curling match... which just makes me apathetic to all of humanity.
