Eh, I live clear across the world from you guys

More specifically, though, I'm really not a fan of social groups in general, and I'm not actually handy enough to build anything from physical materials. I'm more a story writer and programmer by heart, and ideally I'd like to study to be a bit of an artist, too.

I find the werewolf fascinating because, as a finished product, it's almost dissonant. On the one hand, I KNOW it's a costume with a crafty woman inside it (is it me or do more women walk on digitigrade legs than men?), but on the other hand, it walks and moves like something that shouldn't be alive and moving as freely. It's like a statue that turns to face you and chats you up

By the way come to think of it. Everyone is wrong about what the fastest animal is.
The question was what is the fastest two-legged animal on land/water?
Well the question didn't say they had to use those 2 legs for the movement.
So I would be us humans with the fastest land speed and fastest speed on water. Tehehe.
Though I can say so far we arn't the fastest in the water.

Yeah but there are some life like jellies that can move super fast without feeling the affects of moving fast. Yeah subs move fast but nothing compared to some surface boats and airplanes. Heck you can even go faster on land if you just sit backwards. The human body can take way way way more negative Gs then positive Gs.

I'm pretty sure that a nuclear submarine still travels faster than pretty much any animal

Doesn't help when they sign up Uwe Boll to direct it. :P

Well Grey Parrots are much larger than Quakers and have longer legs as well, which would explain that. The bigger the biped the better it must be balanced to keep from falling over after a single step.

Yep, while some of the new stuff was made up for the movie it was for the most part a "Casino Royalization" in that many of the ideas really did exist in the original stories. People just still think of the old Basil Rathbone movies is that the problem is.

This. Criticizing Holmes for the reasons stated throughout the thread is as criticizing Casino Royal for not being truth to the real gadget-loaded Bond.

I loved every minute of Sherlock Holmes and consider it far superior than that other movie that broke so many records.

Oh and for Transformers (or "Bayformers") the nostalgia critic says it best:
NC TF1
NC TF2

Say what you want about TF, but NC got it right, THAT is what i wanted from a TF movie.

That werewolf costume is pretty awesome. There is also a cheaper way that lets you stand normally by applying padding to a costume's butt, front thigh and back calf to give the illusion that the legs are reverse knee but on closer inspection the leg is straight. Doesn't give as good effects as that rig though.

My only real problem is that Holmes, while a slob in his surroundings (his home is always loaded with smelly experiments in the process of being finished, piles of papers in odd places, articles he's written and is in the process of editting before sending for print and clothes in odd places and varying states of cleanliness), Holmes is very fastidious about his personal hygiene.

He always kept himself shaved, always made sure that he wore clean clothes (though, as previously stated, he tended to just toss them around after done with them) and dressed well. Part of this, in my opinion, was that it made it so much easier to go about in disguise, and may have also been designed to minimize the amount of information regarding himself that he gave others.

People would get so used to see Holmes as prim, proper and fastidious that it was next to impossible to equate him with a fumbling old priest or a dirty, smelly bum

You saying that further reminds me of when the REAL Chuin bemoaned the horrible miss characterization of himself in the film. Chuin does not splash.

I think they can have a lot of tails with less work by letting us tecture the animated tails they already have various spots and strips and a white tip would be good for avariety of cats/foxes.... also if they add a fluffy cat tail it would be good for cats/ wolves/ foxes/ skunks depending on colour/texture.

That's not entirely true, though. Just look at Iron Man. In fact, when you think about it, you can't really blame hollywoof when it comes to movie adaptations of comics, seeing as how Marvel and DC have a longstanding tradition of constantly [censored] with their own established characters just to boost sales. Just look at "One More Day", the Clone Saga, Supergirl and Hawkman, the constant Alternate Universes, and the fact that DC seems to have a Multiversal crises that results in company wide retconning every other day.

Well i17 is supposed to go live in April. So even if that means April 30th, that's still a short beta period. Even if half of that is closed beta, we'll be playing i17 on test within a couple weeks.

Hmm normally it's two weeks for closed beta, two weeks for open beta then a live release.

So that's still not long and puts us in the first two weeks or so of April IF that's the case.

Makes sence, Demons is out at the start of April.

Demons/Dark MM tasty.

Personally have no interest in the swishing tails. I guess it's a step forward to moving hair etc :P

I just want to have a look at Beta, myself. Check out the graphics and mostly check out the tails. If they're good enough, I smell new characters on the horizon
