Looking for a girlfriend who plays COH/COV

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
This is my idea for finding a girl friend who plays City of Heroes or Villains.
|
I have dated many woman that DON'T play any kind of MMO's. |
But at some point the relationship gets to be a pain. |
Eventually my girl friends have wanted me to either stop playing or play less. |
I don't think that is right them telling or suggesting me what to do. I leave those kinds of relationships because I sense too much control on their part towards me. |
So I was thinking I should maybe find a woman who understands about MMO's |
So I was thinking as usuing this thread as my idea to find a female between the ages of 32-46 of any race. |
I am a 46 year old latino father to a 13 year old little girl. I don't mind if you have a child(s). |
....
...I got nothin'
I live in California somewhere in the Los Angeles area. San Fernando Valley to be exact. That is about 15 miles west of L.A. |
So someone near that area or nearby would be perfect. I am serious about this and I just would like to make my next relationship easier. I don't want the hassles I normally have with explaining about being a MMO player. |
This ain't a joke? Seriously?
****.
I think my head just exploded.
The wrong in this thread has gone to plaid.

Looking at the tags, it seems we now have the official "Creepy Effer" thread for the forums!
GRATZ everybody!
There is no such thing as an "innocent bystander"
Googling (crap! I just verbed a noun!) apostrophes plural brings up this response at http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=499296 that in some uses, an apostrophe with an abbreviation is correct usage.
Not the way the OP uses it, of course. I'm just trying to point out that in my opinion, writing "I like to play various MMO's" isn't really as clear cut plain flat out wrong as writing "I like to walk my dog's." My apologies to all the grammartarians out there, but our language does contain shades of grey, especially when we are talking about an informal writing enviroment such as on an online forum.

Y'know, I posted the other day just as a joke, but I got to thinking... if this works out for the OP, then I'm going to do the exact same damn thing.
I did date a CoH player for a few years, but we wanted different things out of life. I wanted to get married and start a family. She wanted to go play WoW. We're probably better off apart, but it still sucks that we couldn't work things out.
(Also, to the dude that's looking to get a girlfriend for him and his wife to share: C'mon man, save some chicks for the single guys!!! Go get involved with a couple that wants to swing, too. )

Hey OP,
Does your new girlfriend have to be single? I'm 45, non-smoking, have six cats, no kids, play on Infinity, and have been happily married for 23 years. I generally prefer to play melee, but do dabble in Blasters and Controllers. Not much into redside, though I have recently found some charm in my newest alt, a ninja/ninjitsu stalker. Mr. Tealeaf doesn't visit the forums, so no need to fear his wrath! And we can even get him to join our team. He tends to favor playing tankers. Edit: I just read through the thread, and saw your second post saying that you're in LA. I grew up in Santa Clarita, but now live in De Soto, MO, pop. ~6000. I realize that 2000 miles might be a bit of con, but did I mention that I am a non-smoker? Plus, I make killer pot roast and meatloaf. Just saying. |
No, Fury, he isn't. 23 years, and never. But hey, that doesn't mean I'm not open minded or anything!

I'm not sure if this thread is good or bad now - or maybe it's both

This thread is like Domino's Pizza: it delivers. It's also like Domino's in that i don't especially want much of what it delivers, and think they delivered to the wrong address, yet somehow it's perversely enjoyable for all that.

I don't agree with much of what you write, but I do take stronger issue with this. Yes, apostrophes show possession. They also, however, show that letters are missing. I do agree that the correct form of what he is trying to write is MMOs. But.... given that we are dealing with an acronym here, that useage looks odd to my eyes.

Chad, a gf for a couple is waaaaaaay diff than swinging with a couple.... duh...

After this disturbing picture, I'm now imagining an even MORE disturbing trend -- people trying to breed toy and miniature Shar-Peis. Then every other celebutante will be carrying one around in their purses instead of hairless Mexican dogs.

I was thinking earlier about going to WoW instead. Finding a single female MMO player would be easier there then here. But one thing I have always known about COH/COH since I joined since beta. The community is alot friendlier here then on WoW. That alone has kept me here spending money monthly for over 5 years. I did play WoW for 7 months earlier in the year. It is too slow for my taste and outdoor hunting gives barely any xp. In that time I made 3 lvl 49's. I have not been back there since summer. I didn't expect any kind of success in finding what I am looking for on here. But at least I know now what to expect in the future if I ask this again. Asking for a girlfriend with similer interests isn't impossible but may be impracticle. Especially since there are not as many servers here compared to WoW. Oh well....at least I tried. Now it's time to go xmas shopping for abit. Laterz.....
