I heard Dr. Vahzilok can whip up a gamer girlfriend (or boyfriend or some of both) for you in a couple days.

USB ports are extra.

Make up your mind. Is it shrinkage or big and red... oh, THAT kind of big red ball.
Never mind.

I didnt expect and totally forgot that I actually posted this here on this section of the forum. I thought of this because I work with plenty of males & females that play MMOs but mainly WoW. Some of them used to play COH/COV but they got boyfriends or girlfriends that convinced them to switch to WoW. Since I know what it is like to date someone of the opposite sex that isn't a gamer. I figured why not ask for someone here on this forum that is looking for a guy like myself and plays a MMO or COH/COV? After all....MMO's are most fun with people you personally know. Most of my co-workers are MMO players that are related or in a relationship of some kind. That is all I am looking for on here. Nothing bizarro or wierd, just keeping it real and to do with COh/COV. I am not obsessed with this game or stuck on it. I just prefer to play this game over watching tv, or watching movies etc... I play a couple hours a day after work. Then sometimes I dont' play for a couple days and go out shopping for some pc gear or maybe even play some piano maybe. But I have incorporated this MMO in my usual routine for the past 5 years. I just want to find a female that isn't with someone and is looking for someone like me. I'm sure I can't be the only one that has ever felt this way. And if I am.......then that is ok too. P.S. It would be nice if the person would be somewhere within a reasonable distance to where I live. Somewhere around the Los Angeles area preferably would work well. Long distance relationships....well that is something I would have to seriously consider the pros and cons.

Well.. that... totally doesn't address anything that people have said or suggested to you.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

I think this is a good idea and wish the OP good luck in the search.

Personally, I have been blessed by a very understanding girlfriend who loves it when I play City of Heroes, because then she can join (on my secondary computer, on my third account), which she can't when I suddenly get obsessed by Poker or Magic: the Gathering

It can happen. I'm living proof.

I met my wife in CoH (on Pinnacle to be exact). The key to it is neither of us were actively looking for a relationship at the time. We got to know each other over the course of a year and a half. Since we were both here to play the game and not trying to find someone, our relationship got to develop naturally instead of feeling forced or artificial.

It can work like that, treating the CoH forums like a dating website probably won't.

With that said, good luck in your hunt.

That's totally cool Claws!

Ana and I met online, just not because of CoH. She got into City because she saw me playing it.

We actually arranged to meet at a local Denny's, and our first date lasted 3 days.

Hey OP,

Does your new girlfriend have to be single? I'm 45, non-smoking, have six cats, no kids, play on Infinity, and have been happily married for 23 years. I generally prefer to play melee, but do dabble in Blasters and Controllers. Not much into redside, though I have recently found some charm in my newest alt, a ninja/ninjitsu stalker.

Mr. Tealeaf doesn't visit the forums, so no need to fear his wrath! And we can even get him to join our team. He tends to favor playing tankers.

Edit: I just read through the thread, and saw your second post saying that you're in LA. I grew up in Santa Clarita, but now live in De Soto, MO, pop. ~6000. I realize that 2000 miles might be a bit of con, but did I mention that I am a non-smoker? Plus, I make killer pot roast and meatloaf. Just saying.

I'm Tealeaf, and I approve of this message.

Good luck, Myyst.

I think your second post showed you aren't one of those obsessive gamers who are on every minute you aren't at work or sleeping. Just make sure that some of that time you aren't gaming is spent doing stuff with your new lady once you find her.

I'm a gamer girl myself, a lot of our social life and friendship circles revolves around various gaming groups - and it was the same way with my first husband. True story - all of my PnP gaming groups have a higher proportion of females to males (except the one where a whole family is playing with us, all sons, no daughters).

Finding a shared interest is great. It may as well be MMOs, and looking in your preferred MMO is certainly not a bad idea. But I also have to say that while my husband got me started here in City, he rather quickly moved on to WoW - so mixed MMO marriages can work out quite well.

P.S. Trying to ignore the whole Hoff threadjack, but GG is making it really difficult.

I smell a good Penthouse Letter in the making!

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

First thought...

If you have a girlfriend why would you want to play a MMO all the time?

Posted

If you've got a girlfriend and you're still playing the game too much for her happiness, then, as BillZ so delicately put, you're not thinking about the nookie enough. Good luck though, there is someone for everyone, just look at Lemur(not that way)!

My husband and I met on Virtue. I had sworn off men when I met him.

We were living together within 2 months, despite me being in California at the time and him being in Tennessee.

We now have an almost-level-2 Anklebiter.

This thread is just...

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
