Sadly, it seems that the Asian mindset runs to this sort of thing. From soiled girls undies in vending machines in Japan, to the ever present over-the-top hentai juggies. It makes the occidental (western) mind reel a bit, and makes this Forumite wonder just WTH happened to the oriental (eastern) mind to bring it to this amazing low. Sorry for the hint of morality, but it is really quite strange to have a region which espoused such a paradigm of honor and respect change so dramatically in relatively recent historical times. It honestly looks like "they" are seeking to control the market by enforcing the least (and least savory) ideals of the social conscious (or should I say lack of same?).
  2. I will be there. with Ninus (Bots/Dark/Soul Mastermind) still have all Ultimates in my Inspiration trays.
  3. So when is the next run? What are your thoughts on how we did on Saturday, Omega? Be brutal. What is your critique?
  4. Well, so far has anyone's sub "run out"?
  5. Shoot. Been busy with long hours at work and trying to kill myself with injuries so I hadnt read this. Argh! DO my best to be around, but mom's birthday is today! Double argh!
  6. Man, I've been through this once before when GameAmp (the best MMO website) shut down waaaay back when... and I was an Admin for City of Villains there! I have enjoyed playing, faceplanting, and arising victorious with all of you. Guardian IS family. Perhaps somehow they (or someone) can get a lone Server up for this game somehow, somewhere. Until then I intend to send this game off "the right way". Time to play!
  7. I am all ticketed and such. So the Rogue Island Red PT Cruiser will be cruising up to Palo Alto on Friday the 27th.

And just a Note: I almost choked when I read "Registration will begin at 8:30 AM 11/19/2011 at the event." on the Ticket Purchase Confirmation page. Does this mean someone will be dropping an Ouro Portal for us to flashback to registration?
  8. Mo' COWBELL! err Mo' MoKeyes pleeeeeeez.

  10. I will join for some Mo's. Need to finish Keyes and TPN on my Main, and my Alt needs some MoTrial luv too.
  11. Thanks, D.E. And for the record, I have begun amassing stuffz for my next soiree and giveaway. Giving away game time codes will, of course, be a part of it again plus whatever trinkets I can pick up along the way. When I got Dash's code to him I think I have figured out what the next run "til my eyes bleed" will be. In order to set a new land-speed record I will have to talk with Omega first though.

Next time, I think we can let the Heroes in on the action too.
  12. Argh! This one I dont think I can make it to (poor sentence structure and all), as I am finally planned to move to Georgia at the beginning of the month of April. I will be back to the home state for a Fall Player Summit though even if I have to walk. This choice is a close one; two years not seeing my daughter and estranged wife>Going to the Spring Player Summit (with no more Avatea). Soooo close. *sigh*
  13. I bid 50 Quatloos on the newcomer.
  14. Well, 35 runs of the WSF Treespec-style with billyuns of participants from around the world! Okay, not that many; but you were warned and informed plus I did my usual pimping of the runs on Guardian channel and The Level 50 channel. I did my level best to get everyone who wanted to run it a chance and I don't think I missed anyone. If I did; I apologize sincerely.

I recorded and posted the drawing so that it would be visibly fair. The drawing was taken from the list of participants I wrote down during each run, and each run garnered the participants with a chance to win. Run it 10 times; you had 10 chances to win. So here are the results.

SDCC 2011 Mk VI "Victoria" Costume Code for @Raven Zap

60 Day game Time Code for @Dash no Chris

SDCC 2011 Mk VI "Victoria" Costume Code for @Anne Marie

60 Day game Time Code for @Dark Energon

The winners have been notified ingame, and now here. Prizes will be awarded as soon as they get back to me. Thanks guys. I am thinking about doing more stuff like this in the future. So keep an eye out.

Whups! I forgot. Here is the link to the video of the drawing.

If the GMs are quoting wiki at you (as they LOVE to do) they are just as clueless. It is funny when Ghost of Scrap can spawn back to back, all day long, yet others just never show.

Just remembered...this reminds me of the Archnos Flier GM, that was 'meant' to spawn in GV. Yet it never did. And yet, GMs would still claim you just had to wait for it. Then, someone finally realised it was broken, and fixed it. Would not shock me if Caleb was the same way.
Sorry, but you are dead wrong, or at the least misguided. Each and every time I have gone about spawning and finding and (almost all of the time) taking him down; I have been successful. It's not hard to spawn him, but it can be a stone cold ..... to find him and keep track of him. I use the standard Hunt macro and feel it is necessary because of how and where he usually spawns and how easy he is to lose. In fact, if I hear someone talking about hunting him I will come and join the hunt to ensure success.

Just last month we had a rotating team that spawned and hunted him 3 or 4 times in a row one day. He's not hard to spawn, but a bear to find. If you need a hand and I have a toon that can help on your Server; I would be willing to help.

    Flying East!

*staggers into thread* The sky... it is so much duller now. Even my cold cereal doth taste of wormwood.

High drama aside. I am glad I missed this post for one more day with Avatea in her place, but I do wish you and your husband all the best, Tia. Go get 'em, Tiger! They wont know what hit 'em over there. And with you two in China; there just may be some hope for them yet. You have been the best, and thank you for being here. Blessings!

Now I am going to have to travel to China to get my yearly pic with Avatea?
  19. Just to clarify. The first run for this little soiree will be 9pm PST on Friday 30 December. Thanks.
  20. Darn. Well, I did say Saturday morning which could include 9pm Friday for me which is 12am Saturday for the east coasters, Shadow. Im not adverse to starting my birthday early. Plus that does give more people a chance to participate since it may be pretty quiet on New Year's Eve what with people going to celebrate my birthday all over the country. (I'm not too egocentric... lol) So, new start time for the first run will be 9pm PST/12am EST, Friday 30 December. Please make a note of it.
  21. Okay. Maybe it's not chocolate ( you gotta believe!), but hear me out.

Thanks for putting up with me for the past few months running Treespecs when they come around as the WSF (my how the time flies), and expect to see them on future Saturdays when they pop up. This month is special. As the Blue Moon appears once in a while; so this month we have two WSF Treespecs. So in honor of this and... it's my birthday... have I got a deal for you.

Starting sometime during the morning of 31 December, you will once again hear "the voice of one crying in the wilderness"... er... me in Nerva that is. And I bring glad tidings for those who have a few minutes to spare. I present for your consideration:

    WSF Treespec-style & Stufz!
    Server: Guardian
    Where: Nerva Archipelago (Ractespriel)
    Time: Saturday, December 31, 2011
Who: Vigilantes, Villains & Rogues Levels 44-50 (sorry Heroes)
    Hosted by: @Ninus

What? For every Successful speed WSF Treespec run that I lead, the participants will have one chance at one of four prizes which will be chosen randomly after the final run of the day through the tried and true method of ballots in a bowl. That means that if you run it three times; you will have three ballots. The winners will be notified via Ingame Email, and posted here, and the prizes doled out accordingly.

Prizes? And since I spent all of my birthday Inf on flashy costumes and trashy women; all I have left is RL game stufz to entice you into my little game. Just as a way to show my appreciation for YOU, my fellow gamers who make this place fun even when the rest of life sorta sucks at the mo. I wish I could hand out something way cool to each and every one of you, but these are hard economic times. But what I have is:

Two - SDCC Mk IV "Victoria" Costume Codes
    AND
Two - 60 Day Game Time Codes
So, for however many people who join in the runs, each will at least receive a Notice of the Well, Merits, a chance at Shards, a Respec (if you havent already gotten it before), and four people will come away with a special prize as stated above.

Most Incarnate Level Treespec runs average about 15-20 minutes from Go! Hunt! Kil Thornz! to Exit Mission. Join in as many times as you like/can stand on as many characters as can join with the Alignment and Level restrictions. Any time during the day; whenever you have time. No pressure.

I could be somewhere else, and so could you, but if you have a few minutes; join the chaos and take a chance. Tell your non-Guardian-centric friends that they are welcome to come over to Guardian for the day and join in.

Something else is in the works for a couple of our newbie Freem friends to make them a little shinier, but I dont have confirmation if I can do that yet. Cheers!

I think it was stated earlier in this thread; if you have the components to build them you could make all of the Powers that are available. As far as I know, the Devs have never said there was a limit. You can only have one Power slotted at a time though in each slot.

Aw, c'mon, Lothic. Day Job Badges (and their associated Bonuses) were installed to help quiet the RPers' desires to have a secret identity or alter ego for their characters. <begin channeling>"C'mon, you 'member. You 'member? You 'member." </end channeling George Lopez>

    0 shards (might have 1 or 2)
    20-some threads
    50 some Astral Merits
    5-10 Empyrion Merits

In the non-BAF trials I'm really feeling the lack of Level shift. I'm currently running Cardiac, but I've found that first Cardiac does all I need on my Brute, so long-term I think the t4 Musculature that gives me 33% End discount as well looks perfect. I slapped together the T1 Musculature from shards (which is why I'm out). But what now?

    <edited for brevity>

I can see I have to run the MK SF to get the Notice of the Well for t3. Outside of that, what's the most efficient way of getting t4 _FOR MY SITUATION_? Currently I'm looking at grinding out some BAFs and trading Astral to Shards and building the pieces from there.

Or is this a case of "Do MK and you'll have all the shards you need, no other TFs or conversion needed"? or are Astral Merits something you should treasure to get threads?

To give you an idea, In about 3 weeks of playing I've done...4-5 BAFs, 2 LAMs, and 1 failed-at-AV UGT. I expect my free time will not increase notably above this rate.
First off, do NOT rule out or denigrate the usefulness of the WSF/WTF for that Notice of the Well. Once a week make time for one especially if it is one of the Level 50 content TF's (which will give you a Notice PLUS Shards PLUS Merits PLUS an Alpha component). ADDITIONALLY, once or twice a month (this month in particular), the WSF Treespec-style is a quick half-hour-or-less Notice PLUS Shards PLUS Merits.

Secondly, dont forget Tin Mage and Apex which you can do with a larger available playerbase for an Astral (every 20 hours I believe) and Shards, and neither are very long as far as TF's go. Mortimer Kal SF is a given for any toon you plan on taking to 50 anyway (or do it at 50 for the Flames/Notice Conversion), and it doesnt take long as SF's go either.

BUT as it stands RIGHT NOW; you can be T3 (+1 Level Shifted) with the Salvage you already have. T4 is nice, but not necessary for good Shard/Thread/etc. earning potential in Regular Level 50 missions and the iTrials. T4 will come in good time; say in about a month of WSF's and missions in addition to your iTrials.

BEST thing for you to do is convert those Empyreans and/or Astrals into Shards to buy the Alpha Component Salvage you need to get to Tier 3 (and the Level Shift as stated). IT IS IMPORTANT to plan out your Incarnate slotting ahead of time so that you know what best to get from each iTrial/Level 50 SF you complete so as to not hold up your fellows too much. I've seen people griping about not getting a Rare or Very Rare component that they need because of bad planning. My problem usually ends up being the extra Commons and Uncommons I usually get saddled with because I plan my slotting.

Take a few minutes in Ouro at the Empyrean or Astral Vendors and get the Tier 3 Alpha; the rest will take care of itself rather quickly.
  25. Oh! I am off and can do one of these for once (since outside of work I have no life anymore). Put me down for a slot. I will probably bring my Corr since everyone else is being so specific about their selection also.
