IF everyone that is crying about Free VIP until the end had been VIP from the beginning then we may still have a game to play. No sense in wanting everything free now for a month. Whats the point? Ive been VIP since 2004, and a 2nd account VIP since about 2006. After paying for the whole time, i really don't think anyone deserves a "free pass". It don't make sense to me. Maybe i'm wrong but it's my opinion.

Add me to the list of already paying for 2 accounts. 3 at one time but had a 2nd kid so went to 2. Maybe all the fuss everyone has been making will OPEN NCS's EYES! And see just how much this game means to people. So, yes, i'd pay 19.99 for my 2 accounts. Someone point them to this thread!

Nothing here. Im not into the wows, gw2 or any of the other wizards and warriors games. CoH is something totally different. Doubt i'll even check out CO or DC. I'll probably cancel my internet even. Just hit the gym as hard as i can since im paying for it and playing CoH instead. lol. Been here for so long, not really sure what i'll do after... IT FREAKING SUCKS!!

I read every word of that post. My eyes are a little tired, but i'll be ok. It almost brought tears to my a couple of times. CEO's and people of the sort have NO IDEA about how something as simple as a "game" can have MAJOR impacts on peoples lives.
My brother in law got me into this game in 2004. Since then, i've had 2 kids and gotten married to the "best woman in the world". lol. Well, "my world" anyways. My oldest son is 8. He was born in 2004. He remembered my account and password when he was 2.5 and started logging in and making alts. lol. He sits right here beside me now, making an alt. LOL. When i told him it was over soon, he said, "well daddy i gotta hurry up and get me a 50". My youngest is 3. He hasnt remembered the accounts, but wants me to log him in whenever his brother or i am not on the game. lol.
I really wish i had met a group like yours. I played solo 90% of the time. Only really met a handful of people i played with regularly. One i txt often to check on. He lives in cali and as you know, have a ton of quakes.
I don't know you, but i wish you and yours the best in our new journey after CoH. -
The Lotto! Tonight will be the first time i will buy lotto tickets. WHY? In hopes to win the lotto! Not for fame, fortune. Not for new homes and cars. TO KEEP CoH ALIVE! IF i win, rest assured that the DEV team will have jobs for a long time to come and we will keep our CoH communities and families alive! Wish we luck!

from the picture of everyone on facebook, it appears that were the only ones pissed.... why is that? why arent they fighting as hard as we are with the 5k in petitions? its sickening!

random always seems to happen on 2xp w/e's... thats why i get my 2xp everyday in AE...
-
It was supposed to be up and going by 6am. I was on earlier and all was good. Must be some type of repairs or something.
-
I agree. It would suck very bad to spend 400 points (a months worth) or more on something that is free for VIPs. This should have been looked into before launch, imo.
-
If you have an AE farmer then theres no reason to not have inf, imo. I rarely buy from the market but when i do i can afford to pay NAO prices. My last 50 (thanks to TopDocs farm, lol) i bought 3 sets of Kin Com crafted and some Oblits that i didnt have in a bin as soon as i hit 50.
Last night i made an alt on my wifes account. Its a claws/fire (again thanks TopDoc lmao) and my first 3000 tickets i got a lev 20 Steadfast Res/Def and a Rectified whatever it is. Not to mention crap drops and other good drops that are a little cheaper. So easily made 10's of millions on 2 IOs alone.
Also, hit PI for some purple drops to really boost your income. Solo moar for moar inf. Team moar for fun. Good luck. -
And in all his efforts, the market still functions the same way it always has.
-
Yup, play 4 hours a day and you, too, can has awesome lootz.
-
And thus the reason that some people want better ways of obtaining items. The market is too easily manipulated by people. I've been saying it for months, only to have people act ignorant and call me a liar and say that the market can't be messed with. And that someone can't make the prices go up and down because it's all supply and demand. BS. Time to eat that crow. Oh yea, i guess the market really wasn't messed with (by only 1 person at that)and i imagined this post. lmao.

Quote:I have 2 accounts and have no need to use toons to market. I farm or run mishes/tfs or whatever and sell the drops i dont need and have been able to purple out toons, softcap toons on both accounts without having to use any of them to sit in WW/BM and buy/sell large stacks, craft, or flip and still have several toons as inf holders at the cap.Wouldn't doing that just cause marketeers with two accounts to market on both? I already split mine up like this. I think the only people who would really get taxed are people who use a second account for PL or something like that.
True I have more inf on my main account, but I also have a lot more toons. Even on a server basis there is always one toon there that has a big stack o' cash. -
I wouldn't farm at +4s. Even with the xtra inf per kill and all. I PL people at +4s, but hitting the ticket cap under 2 minutes at +0 and rerunning the farm is faster than killing at +4s and hitting the cap in a few more minutes. The ticket rolls pay off for me more than the inf per kill. Sorry, no actual numbers on hand but doing it everyday, i feel secure in my statement.

I dont think anyone said flipping, crafting wont make you rich. Alot of people (myself included) thinks its boring and just dont want to. Id rather farm, run tips, TFs or even GM hunt than to sit in WW looking for ways to make a buck. I sell my drops or roll and sell them. Maybe im just lucky on my drops to afford to purple and softcap def about 20 50's on 2 accounts without playing the market other than just selling. And all my toons IOs have been paid NAO for enh and not recipes. I have 0 toons sitting in WW/BM waiting on bids. I play, sell, buy. Unless i use certain sets then i keep them in bins.

Quote:Do you have end issues even with Powersink? I havent gotten mine to 50 to see the recharge on it but was hoping it would cure all end issues.FINAL UPDATE- I hit 50 this morning, after running Top Doc's storyarc 18 times at +1/x8 on my Claws/Elec Brute. 14 hours of game time for this alt.
Great fun! Plus, I have 260 million in the bank and IOs for sale worth another 49 million.
Here's a valuable tip: DON'T forget to change your settings from +1/x8 back to +1/x1 (or whatever you're used to running )before starting a "regular" mission in the game! Talk about a rude awakening.
Now I'm getting used to playing the character "properly" and learning to manage his END issues. I'm thinking of going with Scirocco's Mu Mastery powers for theme. -
Quote:I compare actual powers. Not what people "think" or "figure up in mids". Take 2 of the same powers. Say FSC. At level 50, hit a mob with that attack as a Brute, then as a scrapper. 100 bucks says the scrapper does more damage to the mob. Same goes for Shield Charge and, more than likely, Lightning Rod ( i havent personally tested that one like i have the other ones). No matter what the Fury bars give Brutes, they still don't have the Brute (pardon the pun) strength of a scrapper. But that's not really related to this thread. You're right, of course, but I should have been clearer. I mostly meant that statement towards level 50 brute farmers as opposed to the low levels mentioned in this guide. I have even been told to my face (in the game) that brutes out damage scrappers at level 50 because "they can get to 775%". That portion of my post was merely to illustrate the point that the reason brutes are used at high levels isn't a function of brutes, but of the SS/Fire combination, and that scrappers could be simpler to use (we'll have to see how the new powersets work out) because it takes less effort (read: reds) to get to their damage cap.
As far as this farm goes, once you understand how to level in it, it works nicely. -

Quote:I was looking in mids, and it seems that i will be soft capping the D. It looks like a very cheap build (in my budget, i know cheap is relative). It looks like it can be nearly soft capd to every position or in the 40s. Should be a very tough build.i was just curious for an outside build should i slot purely for recharge to get energize up asap, or try to softcap def?
also was wondering with a few of you running multiple toons to 50, if anyone would be interested in a lvl pact, i would be willing to do the same.
But if you're strapped on inf., don't forget youll be getting a ton of tickets. Use them wisely. -
I just buy all the Lucks i can. I pop 4 before i start fighting and click all the other stuff i get as i fight. I haven't died in a while. Im 38 now. I don't know how to do all the macro/bind stuff so i just click like crazy. I use the 3 claws attacks and brawl to fill. Sands seemed to be a drag in there. I couldnt even tell it was hitting or not. lol.
-
Well, i stand corrected. My apologies Top Doc. Like the others said, it's pureply inexperince that kills ya. After i started popping a few Lucks, i've done fine at +1x8.
One question thought, my Spin isn't one of my powers. Why? I selected it asap. I have the 3 lower tier Claws attacks. Should i skip one? -
Ok. I'll try to do that and see. Im still doubting here. But i'll give it a try.
