So...
Guild Wars 2 to support NcSoft.
It's been a long time since I've played them, so I'll check out CO and DCUO, but I'm sure they won't hold a candle to CoH. Maybe play some XBox games; Halo 4 will be here in November. Still can't believe NCSoft doesn't want my money, but they won't be getting it through GW2.
Ideally, the tank will die precisely as everyone else starts fighting, allowing aggro to be spread evenly among the blaster. -seebs, "How to Suck at CoH/CoV" Guide
Nowhere. We're done. It's ******* over.
Not with a bang, not even with a whimper.
Just....over.
Borderlands 2
Although if I have a craving to play a superhero MMO.....I'd pick DCUO.
I'll probably go to CO for my superhero fix. It's not the best game, but it really is fun.
I don't know yet if I'll get Guild Wars 2.
I don't want Arenanet to fail, though. At least one of the employees there is someone I used to know, and I don't want her or her coworkers to go through this too. Plus, I still like the first Guild Wars.
Elsegame: Champions Online: @BellaStrega ||| Battle.net: Ashleigh#1834 ||| Bioware Social Network: BellaStrega ||| EA Origin: Bella_Strega ||| Steam: BellaStrega ||| The first Guild Wars: Kali Magdalene ||| The Secret World: BelleStarr (Arcadia)
If I'm going anywhere, it's probably Star Trek Online... If only because I bought the lifetime so long ago, and it won't cost me a penny (Yes, I know it's free to play)...
Otherwise, I'm going to take a loooong break from subscription MMOs. Frankly due to a disastrous governmental ****-up last year, I'm out several thousand dollars for repairs to my flooded out cottage... so finances are tight, although I kept up my subscription because, hey, I've been playing this game since launch... So, I'm trying to get through the various stages of grief and look on the bright side, fewer expenses!

Moving to Reddit to aggressively defend their suspension/banning policy seems to garner them more goodwill than ire too. Still won't guarantee their very streamlined microtransaction model will hold. Just saying, they seem to be doing fine.
And really, in most cases we buy games despite the publishers. ANet doesn't deserve to suffer because the suits running NCSoft are the same airheaded deluded suits that run every faceless corporation -- most manager types I've met are further removed from reality than entire mental institutions but that is another topic entirely.
Me, I'm obviously already playing GW2. It's delightful. But it's not CoH. It's leaving a void that another game won't be able to fill. I honestly don't know what to do about that. Other than to keep the lights down and play somber music.

Nothing here. Im not into the wows, gw2 or any of the other wizards and warriors games. CoH is something totally different. Doubt i'll even check out CO or DC. I'll probably cancel my internet even. Just hit the gym as hard as i can since im paying for it and playing CoH instead. lol. Been here for so long, not really sure what i'll do after... IT FREAKING SUCKS!!
I have tried Champions Online and DC Universe, they do not hold a candle to COX.
It seems like all the other MMORPG's are Fantasy? I M NOT AN ORC!!! I am SuperHero/SuperVillian.
This was my second (and probably last) MMORPG; GW being the first (got them as a package deal actually).
After dealing with CoX's character creation system and travel powers; everything else was looking really bland.
I was hoping for a true freeform character creation system when CO came out but no dice there... and with all the new pools and pool modifications that were going on here getting us closer to something that resembled it...
I'll probably get back into loop-based production and start experimenting with vids again.
Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars
im sure as hell not getting anything ncsoft related after this
im not getting into any other mmos for the time being either, it just wont be a good coh replacement
i will prolly be playing more of the games i have on steam, but this is the one and only mmo i would ever really spend money on
GW2 isn't failing. No idea what it'll look like in a year or so, granted. But with a million presales (not counting pre-orders; this is people putting down full price before the game has even launched) and a server load that has forced them to temporarily disable parts of their infrastructure and momentarily halt digital sales I'd say it's outperforming ANet's expectations. That or they've been really naive about their launch.

Funcom's horrible support has turned me off their products entirely (TSW).
Elfy-dwarfy MMOs don't do anything for me.
I don't like Champions Online at all. Star Trek Online seemed like a dupe of C-O.
I guess maybe go back and look into DCUO (I played the beta and was not impressed) or The Old Republic again.
Sigh. I'm gonna miss this game.
Mostro - Mr Methane - Beast Lightning - Akrasia - Contraindicator - BattleBomb - Norsewind - Poundy Hammer - Fatron - Mysteriesque - Chiisai Tora - Goth Claw - Mach Barrier - Bearly Human - Prototype Alpha - Crabbly - Puffy Morpheus
OK, it's going, shut down. Get over it.
Where's everyone going now?
Because I for one would hate to lose the CoX community totally.
