My second one thing would be jetpack costume pieces. Not just the standard "Sky Raider" jet pack either. Maybe a sleek and small pair of back thruster, or even some kind of anti-gravity belt that radiates bluish energy when you fly.

my pipe dream is a melee/buff AT, but more reasonably is a spear powerset that specializes in AE attacks (and a targeted AE javelin throw)

i know devs said they will bring out more tfs in future but they'll mainy be co-op nothing one sided anymore
( i can not remember where i heard this, but it was ages n ages ago)
i say that fair. but only when they have got villains to the lvl of heroes in form of sf's. co-ops r fun, but villains in this form just get kicked to the door.
if your not going to work on the sides fairly. keep one, bin the other tbh, cos u think co-ops r fair, but they r really more hero then anything..
btw this isnt a rant, just thinking out loud

Thigh high boots are the right length but force you to have stiletto heels and the leather texture of the boots doesn't work right for all costumes. And it means you can't get a sexy stockings + boots or legwarmers look.
Disco bottoms on their own are actually a good hotpants + stockings version, however it's still not the coveted miniskirt + thighhighs look.
So far the closest I've managed is to use Athletic pattern tights and set the secondary color to match the skin color of the character, as in this example (the same trick that people use to get "naked" characters). Unfortunately, this gives you a very limited selection of skin tones (I used white, which is why my elf here looks a little pale) and has the disconcerting effect of making the character look like she's not wearing panties.
So yeah. We need thighhighs.

And this is a problem how?
As mentioned above, scads of new costume pieces. Some complete sets like Stealth, etc, but also a bunch more basic things, like new patterns. For every costume location. This would allow for things like colored streaks in hair, using patterns on the metallic belts.
Also, I'd like some more sparse, minimalist patterns. I use them a lot to add a bit of color to an area without being overwhelming. I'd love to have patterns like a simple pair of vertical chest stripes that angle towards the shoulders a bit, set wide apart, to kind of add some interesting accent lines to some of the armor pieces.
