Let me start off by saying I dont care if i'm posting this in the wrong section of the forums, this has got to the point of a joke. I recently picked up a few old 50's to get some badges on and got to the portal jockey.. Solo'd maria's heros hero arc easily. Then tina's arc came along for that stupid anti-matter. Why the hell do designers of these story arcs have SO little imagination. My 8 year old sister has more imagination then this. Not only is like every single mission a bloody robot defeat all, its on the same damn map. Not only that after a good hour into the contact you finally get to fight the AV but no, oh no, it doesn't count because for some stupid reason you dont actually 'defeat' him. Have to wait another billion hours to get another mission with him in it.

Damn.

Is your 8 year old sister Sister Flame?

We've seen some pretty excellent story arcs by 8 year olds...

But to be serious, the Developers of this game are pretty self effacing and open to being told "You done f'd up". If you were to repost this less inflammatory and more constructively, I think that the Developers would consider your advice going forward (As they have with many players before).

In your post's current state, however, I doubt it will effect change. Honey and vinegar, friend.

Some of the earlier stuff wasn't all that great to start with, and Portal Corp was introduced in one of the earlier Issues. Typically the stuff that comes after Issue 6 starts seeing improvement.

As others have said, it's pretty shortsighted to judge a four and a half year old arc so harshly. Not only did they not have anywhere near the same tools they have now, they had a lot more things to get done and written before deadline.

The arcs you're so pissed about were put out with the 40-50 hero content, in the second Issue (I think it's second).

Reasonable people have a sense of perspective though, and take it with a grain of salt. Sorry you weren't able to.

See, that right there is just the sort of hate mongering and wrong thinking that produces so much tension and unfortunate situations. The resistance is just instigating problems to the detriment of mankind. Long live Emperor Cole!

Sorry that it annoyed you so greatly. I suggest that you run Unai Kemen's missions. You should get what you want in less than a billion hours.

And enjoy the wealth your L50's generate in drops with all those instanced maps.
Have a nice day.

Exactly. Back then, those arcs were stellar, but by today's standards, are horribly repetitive despite the interesting underlying story. We're talking about arcs that were made with Issue 1 tech.

And as GG stated earlier, due to some of the retcon in GR, we'll probably see some changes to those arcs when GR launches or soon thereafter.

I'd be surprised if the people who made that arc even work on CoH any more.

Now come on, you can't blame Jack for every fault in the game

Can I blame Archon Voss instead?

Am I reading too much into this, or should stuff that offers desirable badges be the best stuff?

Good. Have her write an arc for us then. I look forward to playing it once you post the Arc ID#.

Thank you!

In agreeance with the map complaint, it does strike me as comical to run into an old shack of a warehouse in Sharkhead for instance, and enter into this nicely laid out hotel-looking place. But as you go through the map, you wonder "who puts a little doorway that you can barely see, that leads into a huge lobby, behind a staircase?"

lolz, I still love cox though. I just laugh and take it in stride.

Is it in the game and part of lvl 50 content?

Is it the main way of taking on Anti-Matter and earning a badge?

Then the criticism counts. If you want this badge, you have to go through this very ordinary mission set and then have the possibility of Anti-Matter teleport away (although I thought that only happened in the first half of the arc and you can defeat him correctly towards the end of it).

It's like saying "The Positron TF sucks and everyone knows it sucks but we give it a pass because its old content" despite it being a core requirement in earning two badges.

Rather then everyone acting in a knee jerk defence, read the complaint and suggest another way of taking on Anti-Matter for the badge.

He appears 3 times in the game - 2 times in the arc from Tina, and once in a stand alone mission from Tina.

Oh.

Well, see, here's the thing. . .

As you have pointed out, there are quite a few things in the game that could use a revamp.
Pick your battles. There are better causes to fight for than this.
OOOO! There are several accolades/badges that are difficult/boring to work on getting. This one doesn't even make the top 10!
