Patch Notes for Live Servers - 10/28/09
Well a fantastic new patch!
I seem to crash more, have more stabilty issues (and not just me, my entire team) and lots of bugs that still exist not fixed, with a host of new ones too!
We ran an MoBSF tonight, and most of the mobs were lvl 49, including most of the AVs, including Reichsman! I'm glad we failed it as getting it when the AVs are not even proper level just feels dirty to me.
But then the reason we failed it was because one of our team managed to somehow die, while phased, when she didn't even have any form of phasing powers.
I get the fixing the level thing, but I can see it being abused easily.
At least the MM temp power currently works!

Noticed a problem with team member names still not showing up in the team window.
I was on an 8-person team in AP doing the banner event.

Yeah, team name bug is NOT fixed AND they managed to break Ourobous. Great job.
What the blazes is going on with Q & A these last two patches?

In a hurry at the moment but I saw some mentions of this so I thought I'd reinforce it.
Currently it looks like TFs/SFs are locked at -1 level difficulty for whatever reason. Maybe something to do with the change for keeping the level consistant for the duration of the arc? So basically it's like every TF and SF is always run at the lowest level difficulty regardless of whatever other settings the team leader has set.
Did both an Imperious Task Force and a Barracuda Strike Force at level 50 with level 49 enemies throughout, including Reichsman and the rest. Both were almost a joke it was so easy.
Hope it gets addressed soon, ruins these trials for me since there's no challenge. Wonder if the patch affected the mission architect the way it affected flashbacks...
Ran a LGTF last night, leader was at 50. Most of the mobs in the mission were 49 with only a smattering of 50s throughout the whole thing. The EBs and AVs were level 50 at least.
Also, team window had several instances of blank/black names when various people were already zoned and those not in the same zone.

Yeah, this patch seems to have broken more than it fixed.
Count me as confirming the following bugs:
Team Window Blank Names
Flashback Arcs spawning groups lower than the character level (exploitable)
TF/SF spawning at -1 (exploitable)
This patch needs to be rolled back.
Also, I'm with macskull in not understanding the ARENA change. Is taht some sort of fringe case fix?
I will mention that I think I saw the TF/SF -1 bug PRIOR to the patch, but in limited testing. I did a BSF and LRSF at +0 over last weekend and had many enemy groups spawning at 49 on my teams of 8, though the AVs were all the correct level. Similarly, I did a Psyche TF on Tuesday and no matter what the leader set their difficulty to, we had 24s spawning. Clamor (the AV) did spawn at 25, which is correct for the TF, but we were +2 at that point.
I am also confused by what precisely the 2 TF changes did in terms of how did it work pre and post patch. Taiyetos' post got me thinking that maybe it is referring to toon level, not mob level as I first thought. As in, the level of everyone on the TF is locked for the duration of the TF, but the mobs should spawn as before. However, this behavior seems to suggest otherwise; that the mob level was affected by something recently.

I can't see how players on test could have missed something like that.

Like everyone else, experiancing the same low levels in Pillar of Aspect missions. Did three differnt 25/29 missions last night with my 50. Everything spawns either 1 or 5.
And again, experiancing the disappearing team members on the team list. That is, it blacking people who haven't zoned out.
And third. The Nullify pain fix. As glad as I am to have the animation back and all....does it REALLY have to stop me while I'm in the middle of a fly/jump/super speed run across a zone thats dangerous to my level, drop me into the middle of a mob of reds, just to show it? It's particularly annoying when your in a mission and trying to run for your life, you know retreat to heal then try again tactic, it stops you five feet from you enemy to go off...meanwhile you enemy comes up behind you and KO's you before you can move again. And I know it's not just me, my friend I team with has the same problem.

As I wanted to get as many "useful" accolades with my lvl 43 domi, I've been running some Accomplishment missions through Ouroboros... last night it was weird, as I picked the ones that award "Exterminator" (Threat lvl 25-29), "Bad Luck" (30-34) or "Soul Taker" (25-29) and, even being done at "-1" rep, my enemies weren't exactly a challenge, all of them grey so I just kept playing ... til the moment, at the 3rd or 4th Ouro mission, when I then clicked in one of them... and he was just lvl 1! and the other! and the one next to them! all of them were! Then I understood why it had been so easy to earn these badges, as that was my main goal, otherwise I didn't get any xp at all.

Still can't free hostages either.
The team names not displaying hasn't been fixed - it was still bugged this evening.
Also, the stunned animation seems to have gone missing from enemy mobs - when they're stunned, they do the normal walking animation.
