Canon-based Costumes

Here's a faction I haven't seen anyone do yet... wait, no, never mind, I forgot I saw on the first page, because I'm an idiot:



I've posted in Jay's Costume Request Thread for real tattoos for female characters, but until then, I must make do with existing patterns. Since she doesn't have any of the same powers as existing Tsoo characters, I had to BS that black ink is for clouding an enemy's perceptions and passing unnoticed (she's a dual blades/ninjutsu stalker).



EDIT - Also, a take on a Carnie character that I haven't heard of anyone doing before... ladies and gentlemen, presenting the Strongest Woman In The World:



The idea is that she was just too dumb to be a mask-wearer, but since they'd already tried to induct her they couldn't just let her go.

This is my new Fire/Fire Blaster, named Black Marrow. He's a former Skull who abused the drug Superadine and started mutating into a rampaging Troll. When he realized his mind was deteriorating and he was losing his humanity he tried to kick his addiction and seek rehabilitation. Now he works as a hero trying to find a cure for his condition and keep others from making the same mistakes he did.

I LOVE Sideshow Suzy! I have a toon called Bladedancer who is basically the opposite take... for reasons not yet disclosed (working on the MA arc). He's one of only a handful of men who were recruited not as strongmen but for a much more sinister purpose. I had never thought of flipping the role and making a female Strongman though... I love it! And with the costume parts you chose you pulled it off brilliantly!

Thanks! It seems all my best character ideas come to me at three in the morning... I'm curious to see how you did Bladedancer's appearance now; how'd you do the mask?

Here's my Carnival girl, the Florentine Fencer. With the right makeup, the Supernatural 4 face makes for an OK Carnie mask, if you don't mind the chalk-white skin.

Last night, I created Quickchange:



I didn't write down an out of game version of his bio, so here's a paraphrase of it:

He's an MA/SR Scrapper who was all set to join the Tsoo, until he realized that they got their powers from magical tattoos. Since he believes that power should come from within, he wanted out, but we all know how that goes.

His attempts to leave attracted the attention of the authorities, and they sent a hero to rescue him, one Savannah Nightwolf.

Quickchange was impressed with her ability, and decided he wanted to learn from her. He eventually became her sidekick, and learned The Way of The Hero.

Now, he's out on his own, attempting to prove that he was more than worthy of the honor of being Sav's sidekick.

I've got several Canon based costumes on various toons. Right now I only have images of two of 'em:



This one's my scrapper. His back story is that he actually was one of the Praefecti to support Romulus in his coup agianst Imperious believing that Cimerora needed a strong leader to protect it from its' enemies. (Check out arc 3290 for the full story)

Here is my latest character C E L L. His costume is combined with the personal forcefield for the full effect.



Michael Nodimah was a brilliant genetisist. He believed he could eliminate the threat of Devouring Earth created by the Monster Hamidon. Using genetic science and white magic he attacked the source of the Devouring Earth in an attempt to reverse the transformation of Hamidon Pasalima. The creature Hamidon had transcended beyond anything Michael could have imagined and the organism just fed on Michael's efforts. Hamidon just absorbed all the energy Michael could produce and the creature retaliated by unleashing the energy back to it's source. Michael was consumed by the energy and despite being teleported to the M. Harvey Medical Center where all the best doctor's could evaluate and treat Michael's condition he began to transform. Michael's body became a single cell organism or a living nucleus. Michael was becoming like Hamidon. Now a shell of his former self Michael has changed his name to C E L L. He has powers like those of Hamidon but on a lesser scale and unlike Hamidon Michael has retained his humanity/soul.

I have a better idea for C E L L's costume but I will have to get him to the higher levels first.

Former Outcast, currently on probation and doing "community service" by using her abilities to stop crime instead of cause it. All that matters to her is that she gets to release her violent urges on SOMEONE. Above is her booking picture.

I also have a troll who joined Longbow, but hes stuck at level 6 because i never ever ever play him =(

One nitpick about a couple recent posts: I love the character ideas, but let me just point out for a moment that this is a canon-based costumes thread, not canon-based characters. While Patty-Sue Ivanova and Quickchange both have neat canon-based histories, and I LOVE Patty-Sue's costume, they aren't recognizable visually as being tied to any NPC group. Neither is CELL until you read his bio, but that's forgivable because hey, I'd like to see anyone else do better making a DE character without Stone Armor.

Here's my latest, who I haven't actually been able to create yet, though I'm working on getting someone to 50 as fast as I can - imagine she has a real Peacebringer aura instead of just eye tendrils:

Bio -
Corona's first human host is dead - killed in a fight with his current host, Emily Santo, who was also nearly killed. Severely weakened from being ripped from his host, Corona had but one option for survival: Inhabit the young Void Hunter while she was too weak to expel him, and use the last of his power to keep them both alive. However, both knew that more Void Hunters would soon come after Emily, and they would be attacked. There was only one escape: the moment his strength had built up enough, Corona changed his new host to Nova form and flew away. The experience was, for Emily, breathtaking. It went against everything that she had been taught, but she could not bear the thought of never feeling it again. They were Lumenvoid.

Lumenvoid kept the accoutrements of her old trade as a reminder of her human-self's past ignorance. She uses her Void Hunter skills now to hunt Nictus, and thinks herself an example of the redemptive power of forgiveness and mercy to those who could have been different.

Ah, yeah, i kinda got carried away there, my bad!

Here is a picture of most of the costumes I came up with for the villains Head-to-Head, the quadrapelic telepath I mentioned above, takes over. I also have a Rogue Islands Policeman and an unmasked Tsoo Red Ink Man that didn't fit. Any suggestions on making these better, or more accurate, would be appreciated.
