Patch Notes for Live Servers

COMBINED

Gameplay

  • Fixed a rare bug that prevented a few characters from being able to successfully log in to the game.
  • (German Client only) Players who access the Help window through the Menu or through /help command will no longer have a client-side crash.
Mission Architect
  • Five new maps added. Each can be found under the following categories under “unique”
  • Cavern: Johnny’s Hell
  • Tyrant’s Lair
  • Tech Lab: Demon-Infested Lab
  • Crey Hero Lab
  • Circle of Thorns: Baron Zoria’s Lair
Powers

General
  • Invulnerability (all Archetypes): Invincibility will now play the activation sound only when the toggle is first turned on.
  • Willpower/Resurgence: Fixed a bug that would cause this power’s animation to play multiple times.
  • (The Day Job) Base Teleporter power earned from logging out near a base portal will now correctly disable when the No Travel Powers challenge setting is selected.
Powers Customization
  • Fixed the frost effects in Ice Blast’s Aim to stop growing at a specified size. The customized power should now match the default version.
  • Restored the sound FX for customized versions of Psychic Shockwave.
  • Controller - Kinetics - Transference effects should now tint properly.
  • Controller - Kinetics - Siphon Power effects should now tint properly.
  • Controller - Kinetics - Fulcrum Shift effects should now tint properly.
  • “Fx in PVP only” now works correctly on all multiple Invulnerability powers.
  • “Fx in PVP only” now works correctly on all multiple Stalker Regeneration powers.
  • “Fx in PVP only” now works correctly on the Stalker/Willpower – Hide power.
Rewards
  • Fixed an issue where Level 50 (level capped) characters did not receive double influence when they exemplared down (with that option selected).

Supergroups

  • All Supergroup ranks can now convert Influence into Prestige, not just those with base editing privileges.


CITY OF HEROES

Powers


Blasters
  • Devices - Targeting Drone: Activating this power with a bow in hand should no longer play the “Snap Shot” animation.
Scrappers
  • Shield Defense - Shield Charge: Modified this power’s damage to have it correctly be multiplied by the Scrapper damage modifier. The end result is a large increase in damage to this power.
Tankers
  • Shield Defense - Shield Charge: Modified this power’s damage to have it correctly be multiplied by the Tanker damage modifier. The end result is a very slight increase in damage to this power.
Rewards
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Justin Augustine Task Force to award 24 Reward Merits instead of 42 Reward Merits.
Zones
  • Brickstown
  • Fixed an issue where heroes were assigned missions at the Architect Entertainment building.
  • Founder’s Falls
  • Fixed an issue where heroes were assigned missions at the Architect Entertainment building.
City of Villains:

Badges
  • The Master of Reichsman’s Strike Force badge should correctly award to players that complete this Strike Force without being defeated and do not use temporary powers.
  • Family Marcone Bosses will now count towards the Untouchable badge.

Powers

Brutes
  • Invulnerability – Invincibility: Fixed a bug that caused the start Sound Effects for this power to play repeatedly.
Masterminds
  • Robotics – Protector Bots : Summoning a non-combat pet will no longer prevent Protector Bots from buffing properly.
Tasks

Barracuda Strike Force
  • The Power of Black Scorpion will once again work on Reichsman.

AWESOME!

I'm definitely going to be using these, actually have a SG Arc I was making for a Halloween event that Johnny's Hell would work perfectly for.

OMg a buff to shield charge for BOTH of my shield toons?! My tank and scrapper will now commence to pole dancing for the devs. Oh and thank god that sound bug with invincibilty is fixed.

Too bad this came after the final submission date for the AE contest. If I could have had the correct map for mission 4 (Crey Hero Lab), I would have entered.

Still, glad to have them back/added.

Ditto; used to use that map for submitted arc's my finale. It will find it's way back in once the contest is over I suspect

Still no fix for AVs spawning several levels higher than the mission level, (resulting in +5, +6 or even +7 AVs)?



I suspect it's coming though.

Thanks for the shield charge buff... even if it is only miniscule for my tanker...

New maps for user created content is always good.

Tweaking sound effects to improve player experience is also good.

We had a level 50 Rikti AV spawn in our Level 42 mission in the RWZ. Not fun.

My favourite map and the finale of my AE arc, and a fix that I THOUGHT had gone through a while back You sneaky watsits.
Unless it did work when we pulped Reich's. Either way is good ^^ hehe!

With today's patch, teammates can't see the names of anyone not in their current map/zone/mish. As a result, you can't send tells or use any other feature of the drop down menus when targeting someone who isn't in your zone/map/mish.

I see this as a big problem personally. I'd like to be able to see who else is on a team when I join it, for example.

The MM Temp power on Reichsman has a bit of a broken/fixed/broken again/fixed again/broken yet again/fixed yet again history.

Yep also a problem that me and other members of my SG found out tonight. At first I thought it was a graphics bug, but it was annoying to not be able to see who was on the team when they were not in the zone.

Oh, thank gods for that. My claws/inv brute is the only invuln toon I've ever gotten high enough to have Invincibility - I was wondering why I'd never heard anyone mention the incredibly annoying sound effects the power had...

The Devs identified the problem with the drop tables... (I guess a variable wasn't initialized properly and caused the game to think the enemy was grey to you, and thus didn't drop things). I thought that got fixed in the last patch or the patch before that.

Ya after some serious search fu, I managed to find the posts, and the 9/29 patch cross the fix, I must have forgot with all the junk been going on lately for me. But thanks for the nice reply, I was exceptin ya to reply like a smarta**. ^^"

I too hope they fix the AV bug it's really starting to get annoying on some teams. To be just going threw a mission everything is all good them bam a plus 6 AV outta no where. I was running my missions and only on plus 2 why does a plus 6 AV appear? This usually results in team breaks which is a downer

i notived alot of new bugs show up last night aside from the team window/zone thing...

'add global friend' seems to be bugged as well cause i tried to add someone with click menu and it never said the request was sent in the system tab. although i did finally get it to work by manually adding the person through the global window add.

as far as drop rates go i played the same toon for 3 hours or more and only got one enhancement, one standard IO recipe (a lvl 50 snare) and i didnt seem to get very many salvage drops (if any at all)

I just got back on since this patch went through. I noticed something that I have not seen in any of the patch notes or known issues. Where did the alternate animation for Footstomp on Tank Super Strength go? Also, the changes I had made in my costumes and power customization on that character were reset, so I had to re-do (and re-buy) them. I am guessing this happened because of the removal of the Ground Punch.
