I saw a thread about this a little while ago. It seems that if you level up while exemplared with SSK, there's no indication.

Yeah - that happened to me twice in a Frostfire mish. Kinda disappointing. No recognition. No uberness. Nothing. And, yeah, I was exemplared.
On Day One I leveled my blaster from 49 to 50 when exemplared and was so disappointed when I didn't ding. I wanted to have everyone know I did with the dingage, but no. It was the most quiet level to 50 I had... Saddened me.

I noticed this as well you ding and get the "power ups" if you are SK'd, but not not ex'd. The only you'd be able to tell is if you see the the little blinking arrow in the circle by your status bars. I assume this is as intended.

I'm just going to throw this out there as a guess:
Prior to I16, there was no way to "ding" if you were exemplared. Maybe the engine is not checking for a "ding" while you are in exemplared status.

So far, I've only encountered this during a Taskforce. Both times, it was on Positron, but on two different characters.
The first time, the character was 10, and got the ding stuff for 11 to 15. When the character hit 16, 17, and 18, there was nothing.
The second time, the character was 42, and got nothing for hitting 43.
That kind of supports the theory that the problem is related to being SSK Ex'd.

If everyone is supposed to get the same bonus on leveling, and some players are not getting it while others do, that is an inequality in gameplay.
Inequalities of that sort most certainly should be a priority.

Nah, I wouldn't consider this a priority. What would be cool is once the bug if fixed...the next time I log in I dig as many times as levels I earned while the bug existed.

A possibly related issue is that i was running missions with a level-pacted alt, the pact partner and a friend. Whenever the level-pacted pair leveled we got the inspirations, but no light show.

If everyone lost the bonus equally, then your point might carry more weight.
That is not the case. Some are getting the bonus if they're sk'd, others are not getting it if they're exemp'd.
A level 40 sk'd to a lvl 45 gets their bonuses... another level 40 exemp'd to a lvl 35 does not get their bonuses.
It's a question of the inequality that is the issue.

That said, I'd like to add my voice to the ones saying that level-pacted people still seem to get the bonus. I was on a Posi, and the level pacted pair dinged 18 and got the full light show and buff. When I , unpacted, levelled to 16, I got nothing. It just rolled from one bubble to the next, as if I hadn't levelled.
The level bonus isn't completely absent, though. Yesterday, I was on my brute, I was exemplared down to 7. Lacking Stamina and gasping for breath, I was trying to get one last punch in to finish off my enemy before he killed me, and my teammate, elsewhere on the map, killed something that levelled me. Suddenly, I was at full health and endurance, though I didn't get the flash or inspirations. So it seems that only PART of the level bonus is absent.

I bugged this during closed beta both in-game and in the official super-sidekicking bugs thread. I'm mildly disappointed it made it to live : /

I noticed that I leveled twice during our many missions but not once did I actually "ding" or see any graphics indicating that I had leveled up. I didn't even get any Level-Up inspirations. I only noticed I had leveled when I exited the mission and saw the Green Arrow in my level indication circle thingy.
This is the first time I've noticed this issue and I was not the only one on the team experiencing the issue.
Anyone else experience this bug? Is is a known issue?
