  1. ... Did I just see two people try to debate the resident brain/mathematician for no reason?

... It seems that way when they should 'Oh I don't care!' and continue to quarrel...

I swear I do not understand people's logic in the 'I don't care what people say, unless they say something' argument... I have to agree with Arcanaville, if someone REALLY didn't care... then why say anything past their initial 'this is my opinion'? I say past the initial 'this is my opinion' because people inherently want to, at very least, give their own views. But if they TRULY didn't care about others, then going past that seems rather... Hypocritical? Asinine? Some kind of fancy word, that is for sure...

    Me! <3

P.S. The puns of that comic hurt like hell, in a very amusing way.

As someone who isn't a fan of either Facebook and Twitter for various reasons, including security issues on their part, I will never be participating in those giveaways. Give me another venue to get them.
I can agree to this, plus, when I DID try it, for the face-palm emote, the code was broken, apparently, and never got a response back from the Customer Service team.

Those things are blah to me, why go outside of the forums/game for stuff?

Whatever the devs sell, Sam wants to buy ignoring all time limited availability, without any prerequisite requirements, and unbundled from any specific packaging.
It was an idea to give what some seem to want. A mixture of 'feeling special" (No time-gated content, you can access it from the store, in fact came make Gala access, and Block Buster Blowout purchasable for year-round use, if so choose), Get ALL powersets for 'free' (Gain all powersets through new 'tier' of subscription), and a bonus I figure may be important for some ('All non-in-game purchasable costumes for 'free').

At least I'd probably increase my payment to a $25 monthly sub for that stuff... if I didn't already buy most of it.
  4. What I'm hearing from Sam, and would be my suggestion, is actually make a new 'tier' of subcription. There's Freebies, Premium (For those that paid SOMETHING), Subscriber (The current VIP) And a NEW VIP, which costs between 20-30 dollars and allows:
    * ALL non-in-game unlockable costume sets FREE! While Subscribed. (So it does not include things like the Roman set, Auras/Capes, and Holiday stuff.)
*Includes ALL Powersets Unlocked, no need to buy them.
*Includes the ability to purchase time-constrained items (Overwhelming Force Set, Costume sets as Christmas and Holloween, Etc.)

Of course you lose all this if you didn't buy them before and lack being a VIP.

    What's that sound for?
  5. Kind of. I was expecting a short duration not a 30 second or anything. And I am currently running a Beams/Devices, and have had a few other devices that were Archery/ and Electric Blast/. I am playing it and just seeing a few minor things I would put up to help the set, and since everyone is blahing about Time-Bomb, I'm thinking of the other powers.
  6. This will make the power a bit more useful, IMO, and keep the Devices Blaster from being tackled down, since it is focusing Ranged. It'd also make the Smoke Bomb less blah since the To-Hit debuff seems rather small, and it will assist in aggro management.

    Opinions?
  7. All right. I'll take your word for it unless someone else comes by and corrects. Thanks for the reply.
  8. Just a quick question: The Targetting Drone power said it does additional damage with SNIPER RIFLE shots... I am assuming this is exclusively paired for Assault Rifle, but I am using Beam Rifle, and curious if the additional damage works with Lancer Shot as well.

    Thanks!
    Me!

  9. Guess I'll just have to wait, then, until Traps gets ported, thanks for the answers, folks. I can see Time Bomb and Trip Mine needing to be changed... But everyone seems to agree Time Bomb needs to be changed anyways.
  10. Did a quick search, relevant info is non existent, so let me explain and then ask.

I decided to reroll my Electric/Devices Blaster Epilepsy, because a long time ago there was a lack of Electric Control and realization that it worked better. So! I decided to, and did, delete Epilepsy and go to roll a controller, saving the name ASAP as not to lose it. I went ahead and then grabbed controller, Electric Control, excellent! Now for the secondary. Traps is exactly what I wanted and then scroooooll down... And there seems to be something wrong. And by that I mean a lack of a powerset between Time Manipulation and Trick Arrow... WHERE'D MAH TRAPS GO!?

I paused and then realzied, "Oh crap, Controllers are the only buff/debuffers that don't have Traps..." Rage ensues for a brief bit, then depression then I come on here... Was it EVER planned? Closest thread I found was from 2010 and that was a bit of a debate about the problems with it being a soft-control set, but seeing as we have Storm Summoning and Dark Affinity now...

Anyways, The question: Anyone hear or know if Traps will be ported to Controllers anytime soon? Otherwise Epilepsy will have to be held as a Electric/Time until it does... Sometime... Hopefully.

    Me! <3
  11. Noted, I will move to that thread for discussion.

To be honest, I'd like to have weapon customization for it, but not sure if they have gotten past that limitation (Thinking of Archery having the same kind of arrows no matter which bow.)

  14. Yes, Yes, I am sure this has been suggested plenty, but since I have seen Martial Assault for dominators I decided this should be brought up (Possibly again.)

See, the reason for this is a blast set for Blasters, Defenders and corruptors that is a more natural... And arguably cooler than using guns... At least I would say it's cooler, despite animations.

In any case, this set has quite a few things already done for it minus tweaks and three (Or four, depending what you thing) powers.

1: Throw Weapon: A Single Target Minor attack that is a basic Shuriken/Knife throw, either the overhead throw of the knife for naturals or the side throw of the shuriken power.

2: Twin Throw: A Single Target Moderate damage attack that is throwing two weapons at one, similar to the Shuriken Throw animation, if not a direct rip, from the new Martial Assault power.

3: Trick Shot: A Moderate Damage Chain Attack just like the attack in the Martial Assault Set that bounces to Multiple enemies, probably capping between 5 and 10 nearby.

4: Multi-Hit: A Single Target High Damage attack where the character throws multiple (Three?) Weapons at one with one hand. Probably an animation similar to the beginning of the /e cardtrick where they look to thier hand and spread the weapons before throwing.

5:Envenom Blades: A Rip from the Martial Assault Set that adds bonus tonix damage and adds some minor to-hit and damage buffs.

6: Masterful Throw: The snipe of the set, just like the one from the Martial Assault.

7: Wild Throw: A Directional Cone (Like Judgement: Vorpol) Where the character takes both hands and, similar to the masterful throw animation, throws weapons in a 60 degree cone infront of them.

8: Exploding Weapon: Like the exploding Shuriken from the Martial Assault Set.

9: Cloud of Blades: I had considered Several different types of things to do for the Nuke, and considered the crashing one, at first... But if Crashless nukes are the thing I had considered two. Either a similar animation style to the Dual Pistol's, but in a wide area cone. OR a Targetted teleport that ends in then appearing out of (Basically) No where and doing massive damage with an animation of your thrown weapons flying out centered on you.

Either way, I REALLY want a Thrown Weapon Blast set and Martial Assault gave me an excuse to make one up... Since it was already practically done anyways.

Truth. I made a Corrupt Blood Mage doing this as a Water/Dark Corruptor. Amazingly fun and effective.
  16. Seeing the animations with Martial Assault, I have to be the one to ask.. Can I get my Knife-Throwing Ranged Blast set now? Plllleeeeaaaase?

(Seriously! It's halfway done! Shuriken Throw, Trick Shot, Envenom Blades, Aimed Throw and Exploding Shuriken!)
  17. Still looking for a VG, didn't get a reply back (Send me a message if you still may be interested in me person above!). Are there any other military-esque Mercenary groups out there?
  18. Okay, so! I have a character I really enjoy, though she is not the kind to make herself known... On purpose. She accepts contracts and gets paid for some jobs, but she has her own moral code which she doesn't break. Why? Because she has SOME kind of conscience.

Anyways, the point of all this? I am looking for a Mercenary/Military VG (Since she is classified as a rogue) to join because, well... I need more interaction with her! And she isn't the kind to join world-detruction/conquest nor 'we're all friends here!' VGs. She is an ex-Arachnos agent and, mechanics-wise, a fully VR incarnated out, level 50 Soldier of Arachnos.

Story wise she's a self-claimed 'boring/uninteresting bureaucrat' that has had some minor press about her in the past and has been laying low and deflecting praise/blame for any of the current jobs she has been doing.

I do have a Virtueverse on her, and keep it up-to-date even if it is rather bare-bones: http://www.virtueverse.net/wiki/Natille_Venfield

Temporal selection could use more slots. Slowed response is a top notch debuff, aoe debuff; I would find it some slots.

Time juncture seems quirky I guess to some because of the lower tohit debuff from other defender sets. I find it to be extremely valuable. Four slots of dark watcher's despair would do amazing things. What you can't slot is the -damage aspect. It's a big deal. The slow with all the other time goodies is gravy. I cannot imagine waiting to level 49 unless you wanted to respec for an itrial build.

Chronoshift, in my humble opinion is about the recovery buff, not so much the regeneration/heal buff. I would slot an efficacy adaptor set in it.

I would focus on a minimal 1 or 2 secondary powers to pass effectiveness to the primary.
I'll refer to this one first, then go backwards.

First thing I wanted to ask is: Why give Temporal Selction more slots? The reason I ask is because the only thing buffable is the +regen, and I figure that be minor due to having Temporal Mending up every 4 seconds with this build. And with just one 50 +Rech I can have it on 3 people without trying.

Next Slowed Response is only able to buff Defense Debuff, and I have it up enough to perma it (26.4 rec to 30 duration) due to all the other + Recharge I have.

I can see your point with Time's Juncture, and this is mainly a level 50 build so I would repec to this after going through. If I can switch things around may add in an extra slot, at least, to give the Recharge debuff proc.

Now, as for the previous post about getting something other than Scorpion Shield, main reason for the Mace Mastery was the shield, to give higher defenses, but also add in the 7.5 LotG, as well as get the hold for the 7.5% Rech with Basilisk's and then the 6.25% rech to the pets, making them perma, so I have those Disruptors up all the time AND being able to buff them with Temporal Selection permanently.

I will make further investigations to see if I can change things around and get a better adaptation. Admittedly this build was a test to see how high I could get my Recharge and Defense together, but let's see how much more effective I can make things! Especially with Chronoshift, as, since I have Temporal Mending on such a short recharge, changing it to recovery may be much better.

    With Love,
    Me! <3

    Edit:

Here's a revised build. It will NOT have perma Chrono, but allow me to Power Boost Farsight to soft cap most, if not all, my defenses. It also allows me to have some compounding Defenses with the resistances of Temp Invuln and the 'Oh Crap' button of FoN which is up half the time, if needed.

  20. I was just fiddling around Mids and was thinking of making a Pistols/Time Corruptor. I realized it's bee forever since I made a new defender and decided to go with it instead. I finished my build-plan for lategame and seems amazing to me with 235% recharge, perma-Hasten and perma-Chronoshift, defenses for Smashing, Lethal and Enegry Soft-Capped, and, with the -to-hit, capping others when in melee.

    What are your opinions?

  21. I just wanted to ask if this is a bug or intended. Were the Beast heads (Big Cat, Wolf, Bird and Minotaur) supposed to allow the eye aura or not? I wanted a glowy-eyed catfolk, but noooo what the heck?

  22. The main problem I have is the detoggle... Is it possible to get the technology to just have 2 minutes uptime and 2 minutes 'suppressed'? Would prevent the clicky clicky and lack of realizing 'oh I haven't had it on for 6 minutes while it's up..."

I got it before Electric Control came out. It's an Electric Blaster.
  24. I managed to get Epilepsy and Adamancy. Both of which I was pretty sure I'd never get but had a 'why not?' moment. Also managed to get Trap Smith, Reconnoiterer and Feral Frost.
  25. Thanks for the reply folks! Appreciate it.
